1 Prologue

"Daddy? Where are you going?" I asked looking innocently at my Dad packing his stuffs in a bag hurriedly, "Where's mommy?"

Without explanation, Dad just kissed the top of my head and said "Daddy will be right back home together with mommy okay? Go to bed, you have school tomorrow." I just nod my head diligently, not wanting to stress him out more because the look on his face shows panic and worry, I think? Maybe something happened at work?

I followed my Nanny Rose to my room as she tuck me in and switch off the lights as I drift myself to sleep.

I woke up suddenly after hearing glass breaking downstairs, out of curiosity I walked out of my room sleepily till' i reached the stairs, I stopped walking as I hear Nanny Rose screaming.

" Ano nangyari sainyo sir?! Asan si ma'am? ( Sir, what happened to you? Where is your wife?)" By the sound of Nanny Rose's voice quivering, she sounded worried. But why? If only I could understand what they are saying. Maybe something happened with daddy's work?

I heard Dad sob " Wala... Wala na siya Rose... Pinatay siya ng pesteng gago na yun ( She's... She's now dead Rose, that son of a bitch killed her. ) Nanny Rose gasped as Dad sobbed more.

I wanted to comfort my Daddy because he sounds sad, but he might get mad if I meddle with their grown up business, so I just thought that it has something to do with his work.

I went back to my room and drift myself back to sleep. But... Where's mommy?
