14 PREVENTING MY AWAKENING

*SOPHIA'S  POV*

As soon as Mr. Stones finish his statement, another surge of blinding light surfaced and engulfed the whole room. It felt like my eyes were directly  looking at the bright sun.

Deprived of my vision, I call out to Dad and reached out my hands so he could pull me closer. 

"Dad?"

"It's okay Sophia. I'm right here. Peel your eyes honey. You have to get used to this." - and with that, slowly I managed.

Carefully  observing my surroundings, I found the source of this luminescence. Each left arm of my so called Guardians are emitting it like a beacon.

"So beautiful." I exclaimed - not taking my gaze away from the strobe of illumination. My body was drawn towards them. This is different from the ones I have seen earlier. With each step I take, I felt warm inside. My chest tightens with both excitement  and fear.

"Why is it shining again Dad?" I asked to feed my curiosity. Mr. Stones and Mr. Louie also gathered around me.
