3 Chapter 6: Ethan, Worthy of Omnitrix

Chapter 6: Ethan, Worthy of Omnitrix

"It doesn't matter."

Ethan flashed a gentle smile, his demeanor quite inviting.

Gwen couldn't help but think, "Ethan looks way more handsome than the boys in our class." She blushed at her own thoughts. Compared to the arrogant boys who often bullied others, Ethan's calm personality was a refreshing change.

In the midst of their thoughts, Max arrived with a dinner plate, wearing a mysterious expression. "You guys must be hungry after running all the way, right? Eat something to replenish your strength. This is good stuff."

Hungry gazes fell on the dinner plate as Gwen and Ben's expressions turned green.

To their horror, the plate contained something long and thin, abundantly filled with "protein." Even Ethan, usually mature beyond his years, felt a chill down his spine. He hesitated, "Grandpa, are you sure about tonight's menu?"

Max, seemingly oblivious to their discomfort, explained with a kind smile, "This is a highly nutritious delicacy. At your age, it's the perfect time to supplement protein."

But Ethan saw a devilish grin behind Max's seemingly kind smile.

"Grandpa, do we have any sandwiches, burgers, or anything else?" Ethan asked with trepidation.

"Those things don't have the nutritional value you need," Max replied kindly. "By the way, there's some beef tongue in the refrigerator. I'll go get it for you."

As Max left, Ben whispered, "What did you bring to eat? I have leftover potato chips..."

"I have a half-full bag of chocolate hazelnuts," Gwen added, eyeing Ethan.

Ethan, clenching his fists, stared at the plate of worms. "I have a suggestion. You eat the beef tongue, and I'll take... this!"

"Really?" Ben looked at the plate of worms, visibly trembling.

"Here comes the cow tongue."

As Ethan proposed, Max brought a plate of seasoned beef tongue to the table, looking quite appetizing.

Next moment, all eyes turned to Ethan as Max, Gwen, and Ben awaited his choice.

Taking a deep breath, Ethan grabbed a portion of the "protein" with his right hand and closed his eyes, placing it in his mouth with a distinct "crunch."

Click.

It was surprisingly crunchy, and to Ethan's shock, not as bad as he expected. Strangely, his body felt somewhat comfortable after consuming it.

He opened his eyes, looking at Max in disbelief.

"Haha, I told you, this is the most suitable for you to eat," Max smiled as if he knew it would happen.

Gwen and Ben were astonished, especially Ben, who now admired Ethan's daring palate.

Ethan, akin to a TV show personality, dared to eat bugs!

As they continued eating, the conversation naturally shifted to magic and the Omnitrix.

"Why is the watch red now, when it was green before?" Gwen keenly observed.

Pretending confusion, Ethan teased, "It seems I can't transform when it's red. It only allows me to transform into an alien hero when it's green—a kind of recharging mode."

Exactly. Omnitrix, on his wrist, made its startup sound, and the light turned green.

"Oh, you can transform now."

Ethan, feigning curiosity, gazed at Omnitrix and resisted the urge to transform. "Would you like to see some aliens?" Ben suggested enthusiastically.

"Forget it. Who knows if those aliens will show up again? The aliens on this watch are meant to deal with monsters." Ethan explained seriously, lowering his wrist.

Max, witnessing this, nodded secretly.

"Ethan is the best candidate for the Omnitrix."

"Ethan is right, and this watch can do many meaningful things," Gwen agreed.

Their words seemed to have an impact, and a panicked voice echoed through the old car's radio.

"Help, someone help us!"

"We are at the campsite in the northwest corner of the forest. Here, there are big robots attacking us!"

Boom!

Aside from the sound, deafening noises followed.

"These robots must be coming for me. Grandpa, please drive us there! I will deal with them myself!" Ethan declared as he looked out the window.

"Alright, let's get in the car."

The old car accelerated, hurtling through the woods towards the accident site.

--------------------------

The old, worn-out car, though visibly aged, moved swiftly and steadily. Ethan felt no discomfort, even as the vehicle approached its destination.

Closer and closer, Ethan could see the distant fire and hear the increasingly desperate calls for help.

The car arrived at the campsite, stopping nearby. The scene outside the window was chaotic tents ablaze, terrified tourists fleeing, and the unmistakable signs of a robotic assault.

Ethan jumped out of the car without hesitation, Omnitrix on his wrist. "Ethan, be careful!" Max warned, concern in his eyes.

"I know, Grandpa. You be careful too!" Ethan smiled and walked towards the open space outside. With determination, he raised Omnitrix, transforming into a Petrosapien alien with a diamond-like, hard humanoid body.

The night air filled with the scent of burning tents and the sounds of terrified cries. The Diamond Head's eyes surveyed the scene, spotting a large robot wreaking havoc and several disc robots floating in the sky.

"Ding!"

"Check-in object detected: large robot!"

"Attract the attention of it and all surrounding robots to complete the sign-in!"

The system prompt made Diamond Head elated. Vilgax unwittingly gave him another sign-in reward.

Undeterred, Diamond Head faced the large robot, becoming the focus of all the mechanical foes. The tourists watched in amazement as this heroic alien lured the robots away from them.

Diamond Head, with a powerful defense, weathered their attacks effortlessly. Vilgax, realizing the situation, frantically ordered the robots to eliminate him.

The robots' relentless assault failed to hinder Diamond Head's progress. With a swift, calculated move, he seized a disc robot and, using his diamond sword, sliced it into two. The tourists, initially frightened, now gazed in awe at the powerful alien hero.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for successfully signing in!"

"Get the green reward: from the planet Petropia, the fighting skills of the warriors of Petrosapien!"

A rush of memories flooded Diamond Head's mind, granting him years of experience and expertise in Petrosapien combat. Transformed into a seasoned warrior, he felt more powerful than ever.

Vilgax, seeing Diamond Head's prowess, ordered the robots to intensify their attack. Undeterred, Diamond Head showcased his newfound skills, deflecting the robots' assaults with ease.

"One to many? I don't care!"

Diamond Head unleashed a barrage of diamond projectiles, piercing through the armor of the large robot. The battle intensified, with the alien hero showcasing his enhanced combat skills.

Vilgax, frustrated by the turn of events, ordered the robots to focus their attacks on Diamond Head.

"Discover the target..."

"Discover the target..."

The robots, now solely fixated on Diamond Head, relentlessly pursued him. Undeterred, the alien hero demonstrated unparalleled resilience, emerging unscathed from their attacks.

"Don't just stand there! Hit him while he is dazed." Vilgax witnessing the scene through the cameras, order his robots from afar.

The tourists, safe at a distance, marveled at the spectacle before them.

As the battle raged on, Diamond Head's determination remained unshaken. With each swing of his diamond sword and each defensive move, he proved that Ethan was indeed the best candidate for the Omnitrix.

The night air echoed with the clashes of metal and the triumphant roars of the Petrosapien warrior, standing tall against the robotic onslaught.

-----------------------------------------------

In the dimly lit night, the chaotic scene unfolded as Ethan continued his fierce battle against the remaining large robot, showcasing the formidable combat techniques of the warrior race known as the Petrosapien species.

The two disc robots and the imposing large robot focused their attention on the somewhat "dazzled" Diamond Head. Intense layers of red light waves emanated from the robotic adversaries, steadily intensifying with a resounding noise.

"Careful, Ethan," warned Max, actively assisting in evacuating the onlooking crowd. Witnessing the unfolding spectacle, Max couldn't help but break a sweat. Could Ethan handle this onslaught of robots?

With a powerful strike, Diamond Head clenched both fists and slammed them into the ground. Instantaneously, the earth cracked open, giving rise to a city wall of growing diamonds, towering two meters high and wide.

The relentless red light bombarded the diamond wall, stirring only smoke, leaving the surface unscathed. Vilgax, a knowledgeable figure in the universe, recognized this move with astonishment. The ability to create diamonds from the air was a hallmark of the Petrosapien warriors, known for their physical prowess.

Amidst the barrage, Ethan leaped onto the diamond city wall, creating an indestructible diamond staircase in the air. The disc robot attempted to evade, but Diamond Head, with precision, transformed his right hand into a diamond shuriken, crippling the robot's engine. A swift left-handed swing turned into a diamond hammer, pulverizing the disc robot in a dazzling explosion.

"Alien, so impressive," murmured onlookers, astounded by the display of power.

In a calm yet assertive tone, Ethan addressed the remaining disc robot as a mere "toy." This label, delivered without irony or provocation, infuriated Vilgax.

The disc robot, desperate, rammed into Diamond Head's back with its super alloy body. Unfazed, Diamond Head stood firm, while the disc robot began to crumble, on the verge of falling apart.

"You're eager to meet your end. Allow me to help," declared Diamond Head. His arms transformed into cold blades, emitting a brilliant blue light resembling stars in the night sky.

In a blur, Diamond Head swiftly sliced through the disc robot, reducing it to pieces with unmatched precision. The tourists, dumbfounded, watched in awe.

With only the large robot remaining, Diamond Head, unperturbed, regarded it with calm eyes. Vilgax clung to the hope that large robots were more formidable than flying insects.

In a breathtaking move, Diamond Head gracefully dove, passing through the legs of the large robot at an astonishing speed. His hands transformed into diamond knives, and green lightning blossomed between the robot's legs. The lower limbs collapsed, rendering the large robot helpless.

Time to finish the job, Diamond Head created a honeycomb-like muzzle, unleashing a hail of diamond projectiles upon the large robot. Joints and crucial points were penetrated, turning the once imposing machine into a hornet's nest of electric sparks and destruction.

"I like to destroy enemies with my fists," Diamond Head declared as he approached the large robot, breaking its legs and tearing apart its upper body with unstoppable force. The mechanical head met a similar fate, crushed under Diamond Head's foot.

As the remnants exploded, Diamond Head left the campsite, questioning the onlookers if the large robot was the final adversary. The crowd erupted in cheers, treating him like an idol.

Just as Diamond Head was about to depart, the Omnitrix pattern on his body began to flash unexpectedly. Realizing something was amiss, he swiftly leaped into the forest, disappearing from sight.
