Chapter 9

The Fire Nation Royal Family is the ruling family of the Fire Nation. Although it has dominated the country for centuries, the family has known great strife during its history, and was marked by brutal feuds and the struggle for absolute power.

It was originally ruled by the Fire Sages, with the Fire Lord at their head. However, the Fire Lord eventually gained more power and split off from the Fire Sages, becoming its own position. From that moment on, the Fire Lord and their family ruled the nation

The Fire Nation Royal Palace is the home of the Fire Nation royal family and serves as the seat of the Fire Nation government. Located at the center of the Caldera City crater in the Capital, it is one of the most recognizable structures in the Fire Nation and is heavily guarded day and night in order to protect its high-class residents.

The land surrounding the royal palace is barren and rocky, completely devoid of plant life, making stealthy infiltration nearly impossible. The wall encircling this estate separates the palace from the rest of the city. Outside the defensive perimeter are several lush gardens and villas for use by members of the royal family, filled with beautiful plants, trees, and ponds.

Inside, the palace is comprised of enormous halls and retains an intricate array of wings and chambers. Large tapestries line the walls and elaborate fire-themed images and moldings are laid out all throughout the numerous sections of the structure. A beautiful matured woman walked slowly in the halls, dressed with elegant robes and had a golden moon-arc shaped hairpiece.

She has a well endowed body, even if she's in her thirties. Her hair is dark brown complimenting her gold eyes. She has light skin color signifying that she maintained her beauty and youthfulness.

She walked slowly in the corridor to reach a certain rooms in the palace. It was already dark outside and she wanted to check on her beloved children.

"What's wrong with Azula today?" She murmured lightly. During their dinner recently. She noticed that Azula was preoccupied by something. While her face was contorting between blushing and irritation.

As a mother, this is the first time she witnessed this scene since Azula was a spoiled and a haughty young girl, though she admits that her potential was overwhelming. Being able to bend like a normal fire bender foot soldiers at her age was outstanding. Even the current Fire Lord was also giving her praises. She was a genius and it scared her a bit when they will train her personally after she grows older and she might not be able to stop it from happening.

Arriving at one of the chambers, she looked at the boy sleeping on the bed with a peaceful expression, she smiled slightly after seeing this. She entered the bedroom and walked towards the boy sleeping.

"Good night Zuko, sweet dreams" she kissed her forehead slightly and went out the chamber. Walking a few distance she arrived at another chamber. But before she can enter the room like she always does every night when they were both asleep. She was surprised since her daughter was still awake.

"Damn!"

"That boy, I will have my revenge on you"

After experiencing the embarrassing moment she in had in the afternoon. Azula went home to her palace with an annoyed yet blushing expression.

She can't believe that a boy a few years older than her was so strong, maybe stronger than most elite soldiers they have. Yes, she can claimed that, just watching his speed which she can't even see. She saw a lot of trainings and spar in the palace especially firebender masters but she can see how they even move while Ling seems like to disappear.

That speed, that smile, that embrace.

Azula's facial expression was changing between annoyed and flushed. She was a prodigy, she practiced bending when she was only five years old even her brother can't do that. Being praised by the Fire Lord himself and her father, she grows up without someone stronger than her age or few years older than her.

Hearing rumors around the academy about a certain boy showing exceptional throwing skills, she was curious. She knew that the academic and combat performance of the students in the academies were just for beginners. Teachers and instructors only showed them the basics and the foundations. Only when one will be admitted in the military, they will learn all sophisticated forms of combats and bending, though being a princess she was an exception.

When she heard that one of her friends knows the boy, she was intrigued. She wanted to see him personally and witness his skills. But upon seeing him in the forest, she saw a white-haired boy closing his eyes, standing in the middle of the platform. Yes, it's pretty weird seeing a boy in fire nation having white hair.

She watched in interest about what he was about to do. Seeing him activating the traps himself while evading and deflecting the weapons, throwing with extreme accuracy and speed while closing his eyes. She can't help but mesmerized. It's like he was dancing with death itself. But after opening his eyes, she was enthralled. Revealing mesmerizing red eyes with three strange black markings. Those red eyes were hypnotizing. She couldn't seem to be able to look away from them.

Hearing the explanation coming from himself, she can't help but doubt. A spirit giving abilities, that's new to her. After she challenged him in a spar and being defeated with that speed, she can't help but stiff. A speed like that was beyond the normal capabilities of a human, especially a boy who is few years older than her.

'Ling, what are you hiding?' she can't help be inquisitive about him. This is the first time where she was interested about a boy. He wanted to unveil all of his secrets. But then she remembered how he held her in the waist, how their body and face so close together.

"Damn!"

Azula kept walking back and forth inside her chambers. She can't help but be embarrassed. That was the first time where some boy held her body closely. Even her older brother haven't done that. Remembering how he defeated her easily and poking her forehead, she can't help but bit her lips out of frustration. This is the first time she felt like this in her life.

"That boy, I will have my revenge on you"

'Are you alright' remembering his concerns and the words he spoke to her, she can't help but feel happy and feel strange. Having this kind of experience was new to her.

"Hmph!" Azula returned to her bed and embraced some pillows while pouting. She is a princess, and a genius firebender.

"I admit you're stronger than me today" Azula said out loud.

"Cute and handsome too" she continued. Noticing that she said these words on impulse, she can't help but feel embarrassed. Realizing that she was alone, she can't help but feel relaxed. 'What am I saying? What will others think of me when they heard that?' she mentally thought.

"But I will defeat you and your laid-back attitude!" Azula confidently said. She will practice her bending and techniques to defeat that guy and bring back her honor as a girl and the princess of the Fire Nation.

She was about to sleep when she noticed someone standing on the door that was half open. There was a women, looking at her with a kind gaze and with a knowing expression while smiling. Azula widen her eyes and don't know what to do, her body froze.

The woman chuckle slightly to her behavior and said with a gentle and inquiring tone.

"Who is this boy you spoke of Azula?"

In another part of the city, a huge house with expensive designs. Owned by one of the nobles in the Fire Nation, there were seven identical girls who were chatting with each other in a certain room. They are septuplets.

"Is he very handsome as you described?"

"I wanna see him personally"

"Ty Lee, you must introduced us to him"

"Oh my, I think I have a new crush now"

"Very strong and handsome, that's a plus for me"

"Eyes that can change, very mysterious"

Ty Lee who was in the middle was bombarded with questions and requests from her identical sisters. She was also happy at this moment since they can converse with each other.

From an early age, the identical septuplet sisters had great problems gaining a sense of individuality, as even their parents repeatedly mistook them for each other. As a result, the sisters agreed to choose different hobbies and to stay away from each other's so their parents could not compare them with one another.

But at this moment, they can have bonding times together as sisters and it made her happy.

In another place, there was a young girl who was pouting and had a complicated expression. Seeing her friends who were getting close to a certain boy made her unhappy.

"Sigh" Mai can't help but sigh, her peaceful time with Ling will be gone now.

"Mai, you must work hard. Love is war"

"What are you saying mother!" She walked fast and entered her bedroom hurriedly.

"Oh, youth!"

"ACHOO" Ling can't help but sneeze.

"Damn, did I catch a cold?" He can't help but asked. This was the 20th time he sneezed this evening.

"Nevermind, let's continue with this experiment" Ling was already in his usual place every night. After eating dinner with his parents and talked some stuff about school, he went back to his exclusive place in the manor and started practicing.

He already summon eight clones to help him with this new technique he was creating. All of them had a ball of chakra in their hands while applying nature transformation to it.

Ling already increased his chakra control to high chunin due his clones practicing water walking all day long and also by creating the rasengan.

The Rasengan is a spinning ball of chakra formed and held in the palm of the user's hand, by creating this one must have proper chakra control and be able to master shape transformation.

But because of his genius traits adding to being the reincarnation of Indra where his intelligence multiplied, he achieved the highest form of shape transformation thus making his chakra control increase.

Though this time, he decided to add nature transformation to it, specifically the lightning release.

"Sigh, my chakra control isn't enough to make the rasenshuriken and also my chakra capacity is still low" Ling sighed while thinking about the jutsu he could make. But seeing the series where Naruto in sage mode can only release two attacks before tiring him out, he changed his mind. Well it was another thing if he had the nine tails though, he can just spam it unlimited times.

Focusing on the task on hand, Ling continued to add lightning nature transformation to the ball of spinning chakra in his hands. All of his eight clones were dissipating for every 15 minutes and he replaced it with another clones for 3 hours straight.

[Congratulations! For creating new technique you will have 1 gacha spin]

Ling was ecstatic. Seeing the the spinning ball of chakra in his hand he was happy. Looking at the tree that is ten meters away from him and holding the rasengan with his hand that have sparks of electricity, he throw and release it towards the tree.

The rasengan flew in the air and vanished, a second later ..

SHOOOK

The trunk of the tree was severely damaged. It's pieces was scattered all over the ground. Thankfully, Ling only created a small one, if not the poor tree will be damaged beyond saving.

"Finally, I created it. Though I never watched the next generations but I read all the techniques being created in the internet" Ling said happily. Looking at the new technique and the extra gacha spin he have he was overjoyed.

'Status' Ling said mentally

[A/N: Alright there were a lot of discussion regarding on what nature transformation is Vanishing Rasengan, is it wind or lightning. To be honest I don't also know what to believe, the anime or the movie.

Kakashi admitted that combining maxed out shape manipulation with elemental chakra requires a talent you are born with. No amount of training can make it work either you are born able to do so or you aren't.

The Chidori is a failed attempt at combining lightning release with Rasengan that resulted in something awesome. The Vanishing Rasengan is what happens when you succeed at combining the two. That's pretty much it. My personal guess is that he added too much lightning nature and the whole thing simply collapsed into a Chidori.

In that case, since Ling is an innate genius at birth combined with being the Reincarnation of Indra who is also a genius, so I just used it as the reference. Well, pretty much he achieved what Kakashi did not and Boruto did.]

<Note: It's just my opinion, if I'm wrong well it's ok. But in this story, I decided it is a lightning nature transformation. No hard feeling for those who chooses wind>
