2 Chapter 2

"Good Morning! Hi! I'm Hange nice to meet you all! How are you all today?" Hange asked.

Kids shouting in unison, " Good! Nice to meet you Ms. Zoë!" We all responded. "Oh, there's no need to call me anything special." Hange said blushing.

Hange Zoë, the commander and leader of the scout regiment. 46 Titan kills with 15 assists, makes sense why she's here instead of Levi, he's still a kid like me. She's definitely going to talk to us about the titans, the walls. She's definitely still crazy, and still hyper as hell. "As per the king's request, we the scout regiment have been told to teach the young kids about the wonderful job that is learning about titans!" Zoë said, smiling erily. "Let's get started shall we?" Zoë added.

"Do any of you know anything about the titans?" Hange asked the class. I debated on raising my hand or not, do I want her knowing that I know the secrets of this world. In the end I decided to raise my hand and address what I knew. You there? Do you know anything about the titans?" Hange questioned pointing at my risen hand. "I know that they're really tall, and they almost ended humanity once. I read a lot about them" I said slowly. Hange looked at me in disbelief, a kid who knew his history. "You're absolutely correct the titans are massive! Some more than others but still, they're big." Hange said with excitement. "Continue to learn like that and you'll be in the scout regiment in no time!" Hange screamed. "Miss.Zoë, you're here to teach the students. Not recruit them." Mr.Becker told her. "Right, let's continue. Who else knows anything about the titans?" Zoë said in the background.

My mind started to wonder, Where was Jay? What is he doing? How will me being the armored titan change to the world? Too many unanswered questions with answers I needed. After school I'll look for Jay or Yakeru Ken as he is known in this world. 'Where are you Jay?' I asked myself, I stared out the window looking at the rays the sun emitted, completely losing interest in the lesson. The day passed quickly due to the fact that I knew all of this information from the anime episodes I watched in my previous life. As soon as I realized the school day ended I quickly made my way home.

Yakeru Ken POV(jay)

I arrived at the entrance of the forest, walking inside, I saw shrubbery wrapped across the trees covering the roots and blocking my view. I wandered around going through bush after bush, looking for some type of shelter. After a few hours of searching I decided to build a small shelter out of thin logs and any leaf covered branches for the roof since I couldn't find a home to live in.

I woke up out of my makeshift hut and grabbed the axe I had made the night prior. I continued on my journey walking by a river of flowing fish water. Following the atlas I came across a giant rock. I rested my legs for a bit and quickly got back to walking. I walked for a couple hours which to me it felt like days, Until I finally came across a hut very deep in the woods.

David Fischer POV

I got home around 45 minutes after school ended, I opened the house door and entered the dining room. My father standing near the sink greeted me as I approached the dining table. "Hey David, how was school today?" My father asked, A large 5'11 man, dark brown hair, hazel eyes and a small mustache growing on his top lip. "Hey dad, school was fine." I stopped myself mid sentence debating on telling him who specifically came to our class today. "There was this woman from the scout regiment who came to our class today" I said "she was really nice, but at times seemed a little crazy though." I added. "Some people are like that, just got to hope the infection doesn't spread to the rest of us" He joked. I smiled for a split second then burst out laughing. "How's mom?" I asked, turning solemn. "She's been in bed all day. I fear she may be getting worse." He said sadly. "I'll take her to doctor grisha tomorrow, I don't know what I'd do if she left us." He added. "I'll go check on her…" I said walking to my parents room. "Don't forget your chores. Make sure to finish your homework as well son." My dad said with a bittersweet smile.

I entered the room, staring at my Ill mom I walked over to the edge of the bed. I slowly sat down so as to not wake her, I guess I failed though. She turned to her side, facing me she raised her skinny arm and rested it on my shoulder. "My boy…" She rasped. My mom was a short small lady, always with a smile on her face. Her hair used to be a golden brown with small highlights of light blond but has slowly over the years of sickness turned a dark shade of gray. Her eyes a dark shade of blue but sunken into the sockets. I turned to her and put my hand on her hair, I looked at her almost shut eyes, her frail lips chapped lips and sunken in cheekbones. It looked as if death had her frail body.

"How are you feeling?" I asked quietly. Her eyes shut, her head lolled to the side. She looked exhausted. "Do you need anything?" I questioned. Her reply almost made me cry. "I am fine honey, No need to worry about an old lady like me" she said with a light chuckle turned dry cough. She quickly started coughing blood as I rushed to her side helping her sit up. I yelled for my dad, he bolted in and helped my mom up, "We need to bring her to doctor Grisha." My dad said.

My dad grabbed my mom from the bed, carrying her outside. We stopped in the middle of the dirt path to signal for a carriage driver. One of the drivers pulled over, they looked at my dad, then my mom. The humble driver russed us on board saying, "I'll get you there as soon as I can." The man said. He whipped the horse telling it to start running. Within minutes we arrived at Grishas office, a small cabin on the outskirts of the town square. The hub had beds and bathrooms for anyone to use. My dad grabbed my mom out of the carriage and rushed into the building.

Grisha looked at me and then at my dad holding my mom in his arms. "Bring her here." Dr.Grisha said moving my mom onto the medical bed. I was told to wait outside the room as they continued to check if my mother had any unusual developments. Their quiet talking didn't help how worried I was. I was able to catch a conversation the two were having through the door. "She never was the same since childbirth, she's been getting weaker ever since." Dr.Grisha said in a soft and low voice. "What could she have caught, it is a mystery, an unknown sickness shows up and I can't find the cure." He commented. "What can we do for her?" My dad asked. "Let her rest. I'll keep her here with me for the night. Go home and get some sleep. I'llI'll watch, tomorrow come for her I'll let you know if her symptoms worsen" Dr.Grisha reassured my dad. My dad shaked Grishas hand and walked to the door but not before Dr.Grisha was able to say one last thing. "I obviously don't blame David." Dr.Grisha added. My dad walked out of the door and put his hand on my shoulder. "Your mom's going to be staying here tonight with Dr.Grisha, she'll be okay." My dad reassured me.

Back at the house I lied away all night thinking, What's Yakeru doing right now?, What's going to happen to my mom? Why did r.o.b accept my favor? Two of those answers could be answered, the other would remain a mystery.

Yakeru Ken POV

I arrived in a small clearing with a hut exposed just sitting there. The wood was corroded and rotten, some planks of the house completely broken off. I walked up to the house on a worn stone path. The door had been busted in, the lock broken off and the door hanging on by one hinge. I stepped inside the smell of wet wood and spoiled meat. Most of the furniture in the house had been broken and glass scattered across the floor. I put my pack and axe on a table that somehow still stood. I was exhausted from walking the last couple hours so I grabbed a somewhat study chair and began to sit down. Sadly I overestimated the sturdiness of the chair and it fell apart as soon as I put some weight on it. I fell on my ass.

A couple hours later the house looked better than it did earlier, The rotten wood pulled out and was replaced with wood that I painstakingly cut from logs that I had found from a fallen tree. I had fixed the outside planks in the same way I fixed the inside. I made sure that the table which had all my stuff wasn't going to fall down, I also managed to fix the chair with some new thick sticks and braids of long dried grass. I stuck hooks on the door that were big enough for a big plank to somewhat lock my door shut.

Still being mid day I explored the surroundings of my house. I decided to lay out a few small traps for any small animals that passed by such as rabbits or squirrels. While exploring I also found a creak nearby with some fish in it. I told my self 'Fuck it' and took off my clothes, I walked into the river and started shivering, thinking to my self 'the water cold as hell.' I cleaned myself so I wouldn't smell like a dead pig.

A couple minutes later I got out of the cold river water and put my clothes back on. I then decided to try and catch some fish but without a spear they were too fast. I walked to a nearby bush and grabbed a long semi straight stick. I took the stick and used a sharp rock and started cutting off parts of the stick. I walked back into the river, the water still cold, I waited for the fish to pass by and started stabbing in the direction of the fish. All of the sudden the world around me turned dark and time slowed.
