9 Chapter 9

As Yan's body was undergoing dragon transformation and he was feeling his body beginning to buff up, a blue aura started coming out of his body and surrounded him. Along with that, he felt as if deep within his 'being', something was trying to expand, but was being blocked by some barrier.

It felt similar to a pressure cooker having been left over stove for too long. This barrier, which was stopping the expansion of that something, had even stopped his dragon transformation, and he felt his entire body and soul exert all his power to break through it, and frankly, Yan did not like this feeling. It reminded him of the morning activities he used to have after eating a lot of fast food.

His entire body turned red, veins appeared over all his body, and he was going through a lot of pain all over his body, and in his head as well. It felt as if something was trying to rip apart his body into multiple small pieces simultaneously, and from the information he gained from Acnologia, he knew it wasn't normal.

The pain was so intense that he couldn't even think about anything other than pain.

Thankfully, he did not have to experience this pain for too long. Soon, he felt the pressure over all his body release. This was accompanied by a feeling of relief and a massive golden aura bursting out of his body.

Soon enough, his transformation resumed, and with a speed much greater than before. It was so fast that he did not have the time to register the changes to his body. But even if he did, he would have been unable to, because he was feeling comfortable. A comfort that was without any viable reason.

Soon, the golden aura dispersed and his dragon form emerged from within, standing on its two legs. Feeling the power coursing through his body, he did what any powerful dragon would do.

He raised his head upwards and let out a majestic roar.

….

In the cyan forest town, a man was talking with another man, when suddenly, he spotted that the profound energy in the air was rushing towards the Scarlet Dragon mountain range.

Turning his gaze towards it, he saw that a blue light was rising above the mountains and undulating like a flame.

The other people of the town also seemed to notice this as well, as they turned to look at the mountain range as well, and soon, the whole town was looking towards it, specifically, towards the blue aura that had risen above the mountain peaks and looked as if the mountains around it were a makeshift stove that were keeping the flame away from the cook.

Suddenly, a golden light rushed out from the blue aura and rushed towards the sky, piercing it and sending a shockwave that scattered the nearby clouds in a circle.

Accompanied by it was a pressure that ignited their instincts and warned them, if they so much as moved a muscle, they'd lose their life.

The aura disappeared as quickly as it came, but before they could even register it, they saw something that they'd never forget for the rest of their life.

Near the tallest mountain, where the overlord of the scarlet dragon mountain range lived, a 'creature' rose above the clouds.

Its silhouette was blurry, but from what people could see, it had gigantic, black body, with its torso coming above the mountain, two big wings extended from its back, two thick arms, a long neck and snout, with four horns decorating its head, two curved ahead, and two pointed backwards.

Suddenly the creature raised its head and gave the world a memory that wouldn't be forgotten for centuries to come.

RRROOOOAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

It opened its massive jaws and gave out a loud roar that seemed to send all those who had laid eyes on it into the most primitive fear, the fear of death.

….

Fen Juechen was looking at the third prince, Cang Shuo, in front of him. Cang Shuo was flattering him with a smile on his face, but his words weren't even properly registering in Fen Juechen's mind. He would just reply perfunctorily with a small, polite but fake smile, depending upon Cang Shuo's last words and the context of their 'conversation'.

He was about to reply to one such comment, when suddenly, a great pressure descended upon him. Looking ahead, he could see that Cang Shuo was the same as him, immobile. Thankfully, this aura did not last long and disappeared just as quickly as it came.

Suddenly, he heard a faint guttural roar, that seemed as if it had come from the depths of hell itself. The roar sounded distant, but it contained a beastly power in itself that seemed to tear apart anyone that dared to come near it.

The same phenomenon was experienced by almost everyone in the Blue wind empire and the surrounding nearby areas.

This phenomenon was especially meaningful to the people of four great sects and those who had strength greater than ordinary people, as it may signify a golden opportunity for them to grow in strength. Who knows, they may even get the bloodline of a true god like those from Divine Phoenix empire. Hence, they did not hesitate to immediately utilize all means to find the source of this roar, as this incident was bound to shake the Profound Sky continent.

….

Yan was quite satisfied after he gave that roar, and felt as if he was truly free, but standing on two legs in this form felt somewhat awkward to him, as if it just wasn't the right way.

Allowing his torso to drop, he allowed his front legs to fall on the ground, resulting in a tremor travelling through the whole mountain range.

It was only then that he started observing the changes that had occurred to him. The most visible change was obviously his body, which wasn't human anymore, but a dragon.

He had four legs with his hind legs being a bit longer and thicker than his front legs, being mainly black in color. His front legs had five claws, while his hind legs had four. His body was muscular, with the insides of his front legs, thighs of his rear legs, his chest, abdomen, lower part of his neck and tail being covered in smooth gray scales that accurately depicted his muscles, rather than the black scales which covered the rest of his body, and depicted an armor like style.

His wings were like a bat's and had a wing span that was just slightly longer than the total length of his body, probably to allow him better flight. His head had four big horns along with an assortment of other smaller ones. Two of the bigger horns curved ahead, like ichigo's hollow form, and the other two, which were a bit smaller than the other two, went straight towards the back, like a goat's.

A single line of protrusions went from the back of his neck and travelled his spine and tail, to end with the three pointed kunai (A/N: like the one minato had) like stinger.

But the most striking thing on his body were his golden eyes and golden swirling patterns like Acnologia, which he guessed were something that depicted Arcane dragons.

His height, when he was standing on four legs, was about 100 meters, while when he was standing on two legs, was about 300 meters. His length, from the top of his head to the tip of his tail, was nearly 500 meters, while his wingspan was slightly larger than 500 meters. This was clearly a massive size, one he didn't think anyone could compare to.

Quite satisfied with his dragon form, Yan reverted to his human form, partly because he felt that he had cause quite a commotion with his roar before.

He thought about the other change that had occurred in him. When he felt the pressure building up inside him release, he realized that he had awakened his unique magic. The magic, perhaps because of the influence of Acnologia and his other soul powers, was also a soul type magic, but this one fell into the evil category.

It dealt with the abstract concept of 'talent/gift' and allowed him to steal it from others if certain conditions were met. The only condition he knew was that if he killed someone, he could absorb the talent of his soul, making his already powerful soul reaping ability jump in power further. He named this magic 'Soul Siphon'.

Looking towards the system screen, he saw the expected messages of quest completion, so after glancing at the first line, he did not read the rest, and put them with the rest of system message log.

Yan was not in any delusion that the big four sects wouldn't sent someone to this mountain range after he had created such a big commotion, thus he thought about what action he should take next.

Thinking that it would be bad if universe was destroyed because of some threat if Yun Che failed to get fire seed of evil god, Yan went inside the cave, to look for the fire seed that he knew would be there.

Little did he know that this action of his would change many things, as the commotion he had created was far greater than he expected.
