8 The black object

??? POV:

'Why ? why was I that dumb ? acting all mighty and joining the scout team ?! and of course my luck makes us one of the first teams that leave for scouting !! I mean when did we ever find ANYTHING other than titans and death ?! we should just hide inside the walls like we are supposed to. Now I know what my father meant when he told me about this religion. those are the normal people. everybody else is just straight up crazy ! not even 20 minutes out of the walls and we find our first titan ?!?! FUUCK '

3rd Person POV:

Like the person said. a titan of size of 6 meter is sprinting in their direction while hugging itself. as soon as the leader noticed the Titan too he ordered to attack. unfortunately one of the 2 members he ordered to fight were the 2 new members. he ordered them to try and *learn from experience*. it did not go well. they tried their best but they were just some nobody's that never in their lives trained for anything. they were the type to expect to be unstoppable as soon as they got the 3D gear. That is why the captain made them fight this titan. only after one of the 2 lost his life did the captain order one of the others to go and kill the titan.

it was gruesome. The sight of a human being ground to death by a titans jaw made the surviving newbie puke. It would be suspicious if he didn't. After that the newbie got a beating because he defied the captains order of mounting his horse again and continue. It is one thing to hesitate outside the walls or to make a mistake. these things not only put you but all of your comrades in danger. But defying an order ? That is just strait up a provocation, insult and enough for a death sentence. In the end they bound him onto the horses back and quickly made their way back to the wall. He shall be punished by the people inside the wall,s since they don't want human blood on their hands.

Unfortunately they came across e few titans that looked like 6 to 9 meters in size. But the goal is only to scout and never has been to kill. So they took a detour. but what they found was by no means normal. they found something unexpected and immediately took it with them. Never in history was something found like this. Even the captain of the team lost his cool and ordered everybody to get to the walls as fast as possible. If they see a Titan they must kill it. All of their lives became worthless as long as they reach the inside of the wall with what they found. and they did just as they were told. Not even one of the titans they encountered survived. but even tho the captain reached the wall in the end, it was at the cost of all his subordinates.

As soon as he entered he was greeted by the disgusted stares of all the people that hide cowardly behind walls an call the ones with hope scum and the ones that want to scout outside crazy. but he raced all his way to the next person in charge and gave them the object. It was immediately taken away

In the end the almost black crystal got in the hands of o woman whose excitement almost killed everyone that stood between her and the big shiny rock. One of the first tries to break of a little bit of it were immediately a failure. it was harder than any steel. it was more durable than anything they ever saw. Even the immense heat of any fire could not melt the crystal. It never even got hot in the first place. After the experiment with fire someone accidentally touched the crystal with his bare hands because he tripped but he never screamed or got injured. the person said that it even felt cold instead of hot.

The experiments went on and on. In the end the only information they have about the black crystal is that it is slowly decaying. After 3 months of non stop researching a crack formed on the surface. It is not known why, since it was at night when it happened, so they concluded that it happened with time. It didn't take long for the next crack to appear. It was at that exact moment that the woman that was mentioned before got her spirit ignited again and went and tried to open the crystal for another time. It was not because the crystal started cracking. No it was because of what was visible through the crack that formed on the second time. It was skin. A human being lies in the almost black, cloudy crystal. after the 6th month did the cracks appear weekly. Than daily until the 10th month. The people that are supposed to research immediately reported when it happened . A Human now lies inside the room where the crystal is supposed to be. Little shards of black color spread around him. he was unconscious when they brought him into a cell. rumors spread like a wildfire about a human that was found outside the walls. the fact that he was inside a crystal never made it out. only 5 chosen people know about this. exactly those people were always observing him since they must now everything about him. It was on the last test were they tried to take a blood sample of him that they found something...his blood was quickly evaporating as soon as it left his body and to entrance point of the needle healed almost instantly.

The still unconscious boy was now in chains and observed 24/7. it was only 3 days later that the boy started to open his eyes. This boy of course was Kade.
