18 Divine Abilities

Aiden and Konstantin stared at each other as they were like people who would start their battle at any moment but then Olenna interfered and came between the two and stopped them.

"Konstantin, first stop that mana pressure cause it affects not only people in this room but everybody inside the building. we came here for a quest and not you searching for fights okay? if you wanna fight then go outside".

Olenna kept her smile but Konstantin who looked at her face got a little nervous and some drops of sweat started going down on his forehead. Aiden then also participated and said, "What do you have then?".

Olenna didn't answer and turned and looked at Aiden as she also smiled and then said to Nolan, "Nolan, prepare the arena. Seems like we have a confident young man here and I also wanna see his power".

"Right now, I'm going to notify people to leave the arena, and then you'll have your fight. Please don't destroy everything and keep the fight in the arena".

After about half an hour, both of them are standing in front of each other in the training Arena used by adventurers to train and also for events and tournaments. The stage has a circular shape with a 50m radius. Aiden could see that many people have come to see this battle.

Olenna and Abart looked around them and then looked back at Nolan who just shrugged his shoulders as he also didn't know how people knew about this.

Divine abilities are separated into two types. the first type is an awakened divine ability which eighty percent of divine ability users have and is awakened either through emotions or enough talent.

The second one is bloodline divine ability that the remaining people have. This is a divine ability that can be almost systematically inherited by the younger generation. In some cases, it becomes weaker through the generations.

It's even said that the higher the parents rank is the higher the possibility of inheriting the divine ability. the people who have this kind of divine ability are the ancient clans who held the power more than anyone in the whole continent. Some of them can even rival the strongest royal families in the five empires.

Sometimes It can be complementary to the magic or skill that a warrior use but it also can be completely unrelated. It also depends on o someone's creativity and ideas to develop this power. The divine abilities users are rare as it can only be found in 1 among a 1000 mage and warriors.

Most people who have divine abilities have ones that aren't compatible with someone's powers and so it can never be used at full power. There are also some people who can use divine abilities to the fullest and so their actual power will make them able to fight above their rank.

Aiden right now is over 1.9m thanks to him activating Sunshine some time ago. Nolan walked and then came between Konstantin and Him and prepared himself to declare the start of the battle.

He used mana to amplify his voice and everyone can hear him, "Remember, the moment you're out of the arena, you're gonna lose. If you faint or say that you give up, you will also lose. Now I declare that the start of the battle, GO!".

Konstantin got a little angry as a vein appeared on his forehead and he clenched his teeth and said with an angry tone, "then excuse me for what I'm about to cause you...."

Aiden sighed and then took his cut upper clothes and throw them away since they became unusable. The girls who were staying on the spectator's seat and seeing Aiden's body started all blushing.

Aiden's body started to get bigger and his muscles started growing in size and becoming bulging. His body became Hercules like. It could take on anything. His body was also emitting an enormous amount of heat to the point of Konstantin thinking that he was standing in front of the sun and feeling like being incinerated just by being around him.

he became even taller as he reached 2m. The whole arena became hot and everything started melting very slowly. The orange in his green eyes started shining as he looked at Konstantin.

Konstantin didn't have a choice but to take his knight's armor since it made him even feel hotter. He also protected his sword by coating it in mana so that it doesn't melt like his armor.

Aiden smirked at him and then said, "You know, you really choose the wrong time to battle me. Let me show you what it means to be the strongest".

Konstantin just laughed at his statement, "Hahaha. Aiden, I didn't expect your power to make you this big. I really like this battle more and more. I hoped it to be like this otherwise it wouldn't be fun".

Konstantin continued to disappear and appear again and again while also hitting Aiden with his sword slashes and with each slash that came, the ground around him was also destroyed but this time Aiden didn't move at all and just stood there letting him attack with all his power.

The attack created a shockwave that destroyed more of the ground under it and made it look like a huge tornado that could take anything on its way.

The attack reached Aiden directly and completely hit him. A huge white light came and illuminated the whole arena. It made some people unable to see.

Olenna: "The man didn't go easy at all. He went and used his strongest slash attack".

Lyssia became a little worried and looked at where Aiden stood and thought, 'Is he gonna be alright?'

Finally, the light disappeared and Aiden appeared completely fine. there is only a little scratch that got on his chest but it was nothing compared to the previous powerful attack.

Aiden just looked at Konstantin's and everyone surprised expression and just kept smiling. He then said to him, "Well, now that you finished all your attacks, it's my turn, right?".

"Of course. You can try to attack me but I wonder if you're gonna be able to injure me".

Abart who noticed Konstantin confident expression said to Olenna, "Seems like he's finally gonna use his divine ability".

Lyssia: "What is his divine ability power exactly? I only heard that it's related to his defense".

Abart who didn't answer made Lyssia a little angry while thinking, 'Why doesn't he answer me?'

Olenna who enjoyed Lyssia flustered face just giggled and then answered her, "Let me explain to you. You see, his divine power is called Obsidian Armor. It can make his skin as though as obsidian. with such a powerful defense, he can ignore all the attacks while he continues attacking his opponent until he finishes him. Right now, they're playing the game of each one attacking the other while defending and this is a battle where Konstantin excels at".

Both of them looked at Aiden as he prepared to attack Konstantin. Konstantin also prepared himself to take on Aiden's attack. at that moment both Aiden and Konstantin disappeared and appeared again in front of each other at the center of the arena.

Aiden who noticed how Konstantin who skin changed into obsidian understood that this must be the special power that he will use to defend against his attack

Aiden swung his fist and Konstantin used his divine ability. Both of them felt confident and trusted their physical power powers.

the power behind the attack made Dust and smoke cover all the arena and people were unable to see what is happening but few others saw clearly what happened and felt shocked as they didn't believe what they saw earlier.

Abrat, Olenna: "0_0".

After everything cleared, they found that the only one standing on the arena is Aiden who is completely uninjured and is also fine. everyone searched for konstantin and then found him far away in from the arena.

Konstantin in fact has flown outside the arena in the sky and then hit the shield and fell down to the ground. He completely fainted and didn't seem about to wake up at any time. His skin started also bleeding because of Aiden who broke the obsidian skin. His divine ability was completely useless against Aiden's huge physical strength.
