36 A Great Battalion VS The Wyvern

Right now, over nine hundred people are standing in front of a huge Wyvern sculpture as they're all waiting for something to happen.

Among these people, Alex, Lyssia, Olenna, Emelia, Morgan, and Saya are all waiting for the test to start as the number of people already nine hundred and thirty-eight.

Lyssia: "How much are we still going to wait? It's already fifteen minutes since we came here and nothing has happened yet".

Alex: "Well, Lady Olenna says that it will be at the one thousand but I don't think that it will reach that number".

Emelia: "Why?"

Alex: "Call it a hunch if you want. I just know that it won't be one thousand".

Olenna: "Well, we will find out soon since three more people have come".

Alex and everyone watched as the three people fell from the sky and landed on the grass as smoke covered their place of landing and so they weren't able to see their faces.

"Will you look at that George. This place looks as real as any other rocky hills. Even that small mountain looks just like that one we saw in the northern islands".

A young man's voice came from the smoke as he spoke with another person who was also inside the smoke. The young man's voice was then followed by the voice of the man named George as he said, "You're right your highness. It must be a very high-rank illusion of magic formation. We may need to clear the test so that we can break it".

After some moments, the smoke cleared and three people emerged out of the smoke as two young men and one middle-aged man were standing beside each other while looking at the huge crowd staring at them.

The young man who talked earlier was none other than the second prince of Lefia kingdom, Williams Lefia while the other young man is Saifon Grey and also the guard captain of the second prince, Geroge Ferdenon.

All three of them chose this door and were the last ones to enter as the second after they jumped into the door, it vanished on the other side and the floating number nine hundred and forty-two appeared.

William looked around and found the huge crowd that was staring at him and at that moment, he found that many people were around here. William scratched the back of his head and said, "Saifon, George...Seems like we chose a difficult task this time. Looking at all the crowd, it seems that we're the last one to come".

George: "I wonder what the test is in this door".

Saifon who was silent the whole time looked ahead and noticed the huge sculpture in the middle of the hill and then said, "We need to prepare for fighting a monster around here".

William: "Oh why would you say that.....Ohh yeah, the huge sculpture".

*Crack...Crack*

Suddenly, the moment Saifon said that the sculpture started craking as if something was trying to come out of it. Everyone who was looking at the three who came last turned back at the sculpture and knew what is going to happen.

Alex smiled as he said, "Seems like this test needs to have nine hundred and forty two people just like the number of the door but plus nine hundred hahaha".

Olenna: "I bet Konstantin will go crazy if he hears that he missed an extermination mission of a Wyvern".

Lyssia: "Well, Let's just make sure to survive but before that, what is our strategy exactly?".

Alex: "It's simple in fact. Lady Olenna, please do your thing".

Olenna: "Ararara...You're using me completely as you want young Alex but I don't mind that. I like little boys like you".

Lyssia: "Wait...Lady Olenna what are you going to do?".

Olenna smiled and didn't answer as she started flying in the air and went at the front of the crowd and just stood there in the air while looking at the sculpture that was cracking in many different places and the thing inside of it is trying to go out.

Olenna: "Well then let's start. Ahem, CAN EVERYONE HEAR ME".

The sudden rise in Olenna voice made all the people who already felt tense feel even more as they didn't think someone will speak that loud in the middle of the fighting.

Olenna: "Good. Now that I have everyone's attention I will say these words. Since I'm the one with the highest level around here, I will take on this battalion leadership and if anyone wants to argue with that, they can come and fight me before going against this monster behind me".

*Crack...Crack*

No one could dare to go fight her right now since she was the strongest in all this test and no one wanted to waste mana on fighting between each other. So the only thing they could do is just hear her orders...for now.

Olenna: "Good. My orders are very simple. Warriors with different levels will all form in a squad of ten as they attack the monster the moment he gets out. Then I will come and use my magic to assist you in attacking and also protecting all of you. After that comes the Mages who will use all their spells to attack in a long-range. You must remember to work together and try your best to stay alive and if I notice anyone being careless, I will kill him myself, Understood?".

No one dared to answer her and just went with what she said but then she repeated her question again and said, "I said, understood?". This time she even used her mana to pressure everyone around her.

Although she didn't look like much of a fighter, Olenna is an Intermediate level Rank 3 Archmage which means she's a Great Archmage and is not a bit less dangerous than Konstantin.

"UNDERSTOOD!".

This time, everyone said it and agreed with her as they immediately started forming lines of defense and taking positions as Olenna said.

"Good, because is it's about to get out right now".

*Rooooooarrr*

A roar that came from the sculpture made everyone who has a weak spirit shiver like nothing before and even Olenna became a little nervous as she looked at the sculpture completely shattering and a red Wyvern coming out of it.

A wyvern is a very powerful magic beast and can be found mostly in the western kingdoms and empires of the western continent. It's a bipedal winged serpentine creature that has a huge size and sharp teeth and claws.

They also have powerful amounts of mana that can make them regenerate fast and even release elemental attacks depending on their affinity. Wyverns can reach a high level as they are born in the 3rd level and when they mature they can become 7th levels easily.

In the adventurers guild, Quests related to Wyverns always need at least one Great Archmage or a Martial Overlord to be able to control the flow of battle.

Alex: "Fortunately, Lady Olenna is here and so we might have a chance to beat this monster".

Olenna: "Well, time to do my thing. Nature Spell, Entangling Forest".

The moment Olenna cast her spell, Huge amounts of Vines and wood appeared as they all reached the same hight as the big wyvern which was fifty meters and tried to stop the Wyvern from moving.

*Roar* *Roar*

The beast tried to cut the vines but more came out of the ground and bounded him even more. After some seconds, more than a thousand vine appeared and pinned the monster to the ground as he couldn't even open his mouth.

Olenna: "Go warriors. Attack him now. Mages use your spells too. I can't hold him for too long".

*Swoosh* *Swoosh*

All the warriors started moving fast towards the beast and immediately went for his head to cut him. All of them used their weapon art to finish him easily.

One person used his spear and said, "Sharon Spear", while another one used two big shurikens and launched them towards the head too and said, "Take this. Wind slicing shurikens".

Alex: "2nd form, Tornado crescent moon".

Even Alex sent the attack that he used back at the first trial. Every warrior used his weapon art to injure the beast but unfortunately, it made him only angrier and go crazy.

*Roar...Roar*

Suddenly, the Wyvern used the claws attached to his right-wing and he cut the Vines growing around his mouth and then opened it. Alex who saw that yelled, "Retreat right now. he's going to attack us".

Everyone started running away again and the Wyvern started breathing fire as he burned the people who were late to evacuate and got burned from head to toe.

"Arghh...help me. I'm burning".

Most of those who got burned died instantly while others felt great pain as they rolled in the ground trying to put the fire down. Olenna said, "Those who got injured, run back towards the mages, and tell them to heal you. Until we get this monster, none of you can die yet".

*Rooooaarrrr*

Alex: "Well lady Olenna, It will be harder than you think. We need to put him or injure him until he can't regenerate anymore otherwise we will be all dead in the end".

Olenna smiled and said, "This might look hard but now that I saw what he's capable of, I can formulate a plan to defeat him. Prepare yourself, we will start the second phase soon".
