2 Talent Examination

Noah started thinking about what to do seeing that scene. Since he ended up in some cliche xianxia novel world, he might as well try to enter the sect. After all, in this type of world people don't listen to any sort of argument or reason, only punches in the face. Right, this definitely has nothing to do with his eighth grade syndrome.

Noah lined up together with the other youths who gave him weird glances because of his clothes, but soon they lost interest in him and glanced forward. Three "Next!" shouts later, his turn had come.

Noah stared at the man who was glancing at him with a uninterested expression for some seconds, not knowing what he was supposed to do. "Put your hand into the stone." The man said in a uncaring tone. Noah put his hand in the stone, which glowed a dark yellow color.

"Medium-Low Talent, you are qualified. Next!" Noah walked towards the group of people that passed with a "Oh, well" expression in his face. He has no idea of how talent is categorized here but Medium-Low don't really sounds that amazing. His hopes of having some sort of cheat-like talent that transmigrators typically have were dashed.

'In situations like these the protagonist either has low/no talent and finds some treasure that changes it or it can't be measured by the stone and people think he has no talent, creating the cliche "You are trash, your cultivating speed and fighting powers are absurd, but you are still trash." Were somehow people are blind to the protagonist cultivation speed' He was deep in thought.

Noah has also noted that they don't care about anything else, only your talent. Screw your name, where had you came from, if you are a potential spy of a enemy sect or not, as long as you have talent, they let you enter.

The examination was still going so Noah sat in the stairway that leads to the sect and watched it unfold like he was waiting for something. Some minutes later, the thing he was waiting for had finally came.

"Open way for Young Master Zhu!" A group of people leaded by a youth wearing expensive clothes and a arrogant expression on his face, was pushing the other people out of the way. The people obviously became angry and wanted to shout at them but quickly got out of the way after hearing what the guy said.

The "Young Master Zhu" cut in line like the youths standing there were decorations, but they didn't dare to say anything and just let him cut in line with bitter expressions. The man sitting in the chair didn't show any signs of wanting to stop him.

'Here it comes' Thought Noah watching the event unfold. This was a typical situation in cliche xianxia novels, and if he is right, the young master will have some sort talent that is impressive in this type of place that will become trash later on and will endlessly annoy the protagonist before getting himself and potentially his clan killed.

The young master put his hand in the stone, that glowed a pure gold-like yellow, surprising everyone, even the guy in the chair gave a small nod. Zhu something guy had a 'As expected of the great me' face.

"High-Low Talent, Young Master Zhu is qualified to enter the sect." The chair guy that probably was some sort of elder in the sect said in a slightly more respectful tone, different from how he talked about the talent of the other youths.

Cannon Fod- Young Master Zhu smiled politely and got in a corner together with some soon to be disciples that are probably his future lackeys. Besides young master Zhu, another two young masters had appeared and all of them coincidentally had High-Low talent too, all of them being arrogant.

'If I'm right, the protagonist appears around times like these.' thought Noah while noticing some agitation suddenly happening in the crowd.
