8 Chapter 8

When I wake up, a horn sounded that pierced through my ears, the soldiers are starting to come out from their tents. They are doing their daily routine. Some cooked breakfasts, some are exercising and others are re-rolling the tents.

It is a lively morning, I can hear their talks and laughs about the tough battle yesterday. All of them are almost at death`s door. But now here they are, they are happy that their bodies are still intact and they can see their families again.

Erza and Jehanne are sitting on a chair made by trees, while eating I see Erza was staring at Jehanne.

"Jehanne, what's wrong? You're spacing out you know?"

"Eeh? N-no I'm fine! I was just recalling what was happening at yesterday's battle"

"Me too, I haven't slept well last night either, if Ryu did not show up, we might be in the stomach of every monsters with parts of our body separated"

It is a good timing, Erza approached the other soldiers and is talking to them. I look towards Jehanne and meet her gaze. She stopped for a while, then averted her eyes from mine. Please stop blushing! Or else they will be curious!

I walk towards her side.

"Jehanne, I want to tell you something"

After that I asked Gifardus where the equipment shop is. He pointed to a place but Jehanne accompanied me.

"Ryu? You`re going to buy some equipment?"

"No, if you wonder why we are here I will tell you the truth. I can craft weapons with my own magic.

If I have the proper materials, and I will craft equipment for you as well"

"O-okay, thank you in advance"

She always blushed if she is with me, but seeing her blushed state makes me feel happy and contended.

I did not enter in the equipment shop. I was hiding in an alley way and let Jehanne guard.

I crafted dual sabres and all the body equipment. I am covered in jet black materials. I look like a humanoid Nagarcuga, I also crafted a hat that looks like a cowboy`s hat.

The moment Jehanne sees me, she looks stunned.

I know! I`ll do it later, that`s why I crafted an extra headgear!

Gifardus and the others are waiting for me, I grabbed Jehanne`s hand and rushed towards them. And when I arrived, as expected. They were dumbfounded by my appearance.

"What`s wrong guys? I thought we should hurry up?"

They regained their posture. Then we proceed to the castle.
