11 Chapter - 11 - Meeting Arisu

A new day came and Harris's third day in the borderlands begin.

He woke at 10 am only to find himself alone in the room. He got up slowly and lifted the curtains.

At this moment, the bathroom door opened and Ann walked out while drying her wet hair with the towel.

"I thought you left without me". Harris yawned and started to stretch his body.

"How was I supposed to go like this?" Ann said as she struggled to walk.

"Don't worry, I have a way to fix that, it's not broken or fractured," Harris said as he walked towards the bathroom only to return with a fresh look after a minute.

"I still don't know how boys can get ready so fast," Ann said while sitting on the bed.

"It will forever be a mystery," Harris said as he opened the not so working fridge and grabbed two cans of canned pineapples.

"So what's the plan?" Ann said as laid down on the bed again. It looked like that she was still tired and wanted to rest a bit since she never had the chance to truly rest at the beach.

"Let's eat some breakfast and after that, I will look for some medications for you and will try to either find a beach member or a ride back to the beach". Harris said as he opened the canned pineapple and handed it over to Ann.

"You don't need to look for any medicine, that's my field and there are plenty of them at the beach. Just find a ride" Ann said as she started eating.

"There is a special military medicine I want to make which even you might not know about, I only got to know it because of my former trainer". Harris said as he finished his breakfast.

"I will go now, you won't get bored right?" Harris said as he grabbed his stuff.

"Don't worry, just come back faster" Ann said to which he nodded. He then opened the door and left his apartment.

'Is this how a Wife feels when her husband goes to work?' Ann wondered as she blushed.

"Well that should be the last ingredient," Harris said as he heard someone yelling outside.

"Who the heck is shouting?" Harris said as he went outside, only to see a familiar teenager running away.

"What do you want?" Harris said in a loud voice, attracting the attention of that individual, the teenager looked behind in surprise and shouted yet again.

"KARUBE!!!! CHOTA!!!! I FOUND SOMEONE". Shouted Arisu, the protagonist of the show.

"Hey, where is everyone else?" asked Arisu as he came running towards him.

"Calm down first, I am in a hurry but I can answer some of your questions". Harris said as he calmed down the frustrated teenager.

"So you are saying that we are in a world where we have to play life-and-death games to survive?" Said the confused Arisu as he received a basic explanation from Harris.

"That's enough, Do you expect me to believe this shit?" Karube said in rage as he tried to grab Harris by the neck.

"Karube wait," Both Arisu and Chota said at the same time as they to tried to calm down his raging friend

However, Karube received a punch to the guts from Harris before he could reach him. The punch almost knocked him out.

"I'm sorry for my friend's behavior," Arisu said.

"Make sure it never happens again," Harris said with a sharp gaze as he decided to leave.

"Thanks for the information" Arisu shouted and immediately went to aid Karube.

"Why are you late?" Ann asked as she looked bored.

"I found some newcomers who desperately wanted answers". Harris said politely while giving her a kind smile.

"So what did you tell them?" Ann asked as she saw the so-called ingredients in his hand.

"Nothing much, just basic stuff," Harris said as he put the bags down.

'The canon story has started, I should only play the original games from now on, or else I might die ' He thought as he started to make the medicine.

The medicine that he wanted to make was a traditional medicine of the monks who lived in the high peaks of the Himalayas.

The ingredients consisted of Aloe vera, Olive oil, Milk, Vitamins C, D, and A. Protein, Dates, Cream, Edible silver, and condensed Salt and Sugar.

Combining it in a certain way makes an Edible yet Applicable medicine.

"It's ready," Harris said as he give it to Ann who was a bit reluctant to take it. But in the end, she decided to take it. Harris also rubbed her whole foot and then covered it with bandages.

...

"This medicine is wonderful," Ann said in a surprise. Her pain was gone and it felt like that she wasn't even hurt in the first place.

She has started to show other emotions in front of Harris instead of her usual cold one.

"I told you, my trainer, who was a high-rank Special Services personnel, passed the recipe to me as a gift when I bested him," Harris said proudly.

"No wonder you are so athletic ". Ann replied with a smile.

"You look beautiful when you smile. I want to see a happy Ann, not an angry or cold one" Harris said as he complimented her which she made felt butterflies in her stomach.

"We should leave now it's about to go dark" Ann immediately changed the topic as she looked outside the window.

"Why don't we stay another night here? I have you all to myself" Harris said as he coughed to which Ann slightly blushed.

"It's been a while since I rode a bicycle, makes me remember my childhood," Ann said.

"Same" Harris said as he paddled in the Rhythm with Ann.

"Come, I will show you my house" Ann led the way as Harris followed.

The couple cycled through the city and went to memorable and beautiful places. They were so immersed that they forgot to return to the beach.

"It was a fun day today," Harris said to which Ann nodded.

"Let's do this again when we return to our world," Ann said as she looked at him happily.

"Why not" Said Harris with a forced smile. His heart was in pieces because he knows that their memories will be wiped out when they leave and they will perhaps never even meet again.

'It feels weird, I have fallen in love with someone who I can't stay together with, but at least I can enjoy her company for the time being' Harris said with a heavy heart.
