I Am Already Dead
"Hey, are you awake? wake up, WAKE UP!," a stranger`s voice echoed through my ears. "Hey, it`s time for you to wake up kid."
As I wake up, light flowed through my eyes, and it was so blinding and unbearable that I needed to close my eyes. I waited for a moment before opening my eyes again, and once again I was blinded by the intense light so I had to close my eyes again. It felt like something was wrong, so I sneak a peek. In front of me was a man sitting and snickering, and in his hands is a freakin huge flashlight. This bastard is blinding me with his flashlight. I took his flashlight before he realized it and threw it in his face.
"Who are you?" I asked him with an annoyed look on my face. The floor was getting uncomfortable so I went into a sitting position. Looking at him clearly, his facial features and those clothes, I realized at that moment who he was."You`re the truck driver!!!," I exclaimed
"That is correct," the man announced while ringing a bell. He then stands up and proceeds to walk around. I stood up as well and followed him. The two of us wandered around aimlessly, he continued to walk around and I continued to follow, and it was annoying. I`m getting the urge to want to smash this man`s face in a wall, luckily there`s no wall here. Come to think of it, we`ve been walking around for a while yet this place is basically empty, it`s literally deserted, there`s nothing here except the two of us. That`s when I decided to ask questions.
"Where are we? what the hell is this place? there`s nothing here so where do you get your stuff? why are we the only people here?" I released a series of questions because there`s a lot of things I want to know. The guy stopped walking so I stopped as well. Then he turned around to face me.
"Okay, okay, calm down kid, just calm down. I`ll explain everything, so just sit back and listen, okay?" he said. "Here are the things that you need to know. You are dead and there is nothing you can do about it. I killed you with the help of another transporter, you remember the sleeping driver? that`s him. All transporter looks identical, for your information. Now you might want to ask why did I kill you? because it`s my job, it is the job of a Transporter. By the way, you can call me Transporter#69. A Transporter`s job is simple, kill the target in any way possible, extract their soul, and send them to another world. So basically you are a soul right now. The reason why we are sending people to another world is simple, this world is on the brink of destruction due to overpopulation, so we needed a way to reduce the number and that`s how we came up with the Transporting people to another world where overpopulation does not exist. As of now, we have managed to transport over a million people that was selected from all over the earth to different worlds. Another common question, how do we choose a person to transport to another world? this is the job of the Scouters. They scout people that they think is best to transport. They have their own criteria for choosing a target. They are not allowed to divulge their method of choosing a target, even to the Transporters. Additional information, just like Transporters, Scouters all have the same physical features. Next common question, where do you get transported? It depends on what world is currently available, in your case, it`s a cultivation world. Lame. Okay, this is the last thing you need to know. After we send you to the new world, It`s all up to you on how you will live and die. If you manage to die in the other world, you really die, no more transporter stuff. That`s basically all of it, so did you get all of it?" questioned Transporter#69
"Yeah, I`ve understood all of it." It was hard to process but it became easy to understand when I have accepted that I was already dead.
"So, do you have any more questions before we proceed to your farewell gifts?" Transporter#69 inquired
I started thinking about what questions to ask when I remember my mother. "My mother! Uhm I mean, what about my mom? is she okay? is she healthy? is she-" I wanted to ask more but it was cut short by the guy.
"I am so sorry to say this but, I am not allowed to provide any kind of information regarding your former world, please do understand that I am just an employee and not the boss. Now, I believe that`s everything that you want to know, let`s proceed to your farewell gifts." Transporter#69 announced.
