5 First Day Of School

After unpacking and reading a bit it was time for dinner. I went to the dinner hall guided by Noah. after we arrived he went to his friends and I searched for Emma.

When I found her she was surrounded by a group of girls. I wasn't really surprised because Emma is a beautiful and social girl.

"Nico". She shouted when she saw me which attracted some attention to me, especially from the girls around her. They started talking probably about me and Emma.

"Hi Emma, how is your roommate". I said while sitting next to her, which she probably kept free for me.

"She is really cool but Nico, no one bullied you"? She said directly worried about me. What a kind girl.

"He is really nice, but he keeps pinching my cheeks". I said saying the last part with clear fake annoyance. But Emma didn't see that.

"Really, what did he do to you". She said taking me by my shoulder, and on her face was anger. She really acts like an over protective sister.

"Don't worry, it was just a joke". I said calming her down while taking her hands off my shoulders.

And just like that my dinner went on talking with Emma and also getting to know her friends which she strangely enough didn't really seem to like. Huh, must just be my imaginations.

After dinner I was able to separate myself from Emma and arrive at my room where no one was. I just went to my bed where I read a book before falling asleep.

The next day

After waking up I washed my face and put on some clothes before going to my first class. My first class is training which I also have the most hours in the week.

After arriving at the training ground I received some stares of the girls with me being a boy.

'Although they may not accept me as a knight I will become one'. I though because of the stares I received. I received quite some backlash from some woman because I want to become a knight which for a man isn't really accepted.

After waiting for a while which seemed like eternity because of the stares I received and while that happened a figure I recognized arrived.

She was the crown princess. She had a doll like face with shining white hair. Her eyes were a mix between light pink and light blue which was beautiful. Her name is Elle.

She seemed to notice me staring at her and looked at me with her expressionless face. She looked at me and then started sizing me up before looking away again. There were many people trying to talk with her because of her status but she just ignored it.

She was said to be a proud and cold woman. He fell in love with the heroine because the heroine was a strong woman who always spoke her mind.

This was what piqued her interest and then trough time fell in love with her.

He also fell in love with her kindness. Being brought up with a lot of pressure the heroine who showed unconditional love and kindness became a light in his world.

I also stopped looking at her because I don't want anything to do with her. She is a crazy obsessive person who tried to lock up the heroine.

"Hello, I am your instructor. You will address me as miss Fiona". Said a strong voice getting everyone's attention. I don't know her because not many teachers were introduced and side characters keep their gender.

"Every one, take a spar partner. You will spar without aura". She said before turning to the crown princess.

"Since no one here is your match, you will spar with him. Try to teach him some common sense". Said my new instructor blatantly being a sexist. But worst of all I am put together with the person I wanted to avoid.

I saw the crown princess turn to me and although still expressionless I could see annoyance on her face.

"Follow me". She said going to a corner of the training ground.

"Don't talk to me, just do as I say". She said making me annoyed, but it would not help getting mad at her.

"Take out your sword and swing it from above to down". She said, thinking I really don't know how to wield a sword.

'Is she really teaching me how to swing a sword'. I thought with me almost exploding but I need to keep it in so I just do as she says.

"Good, but now do it like you want to do it". She said still seeming clueless of how annoying she is.

"DO YOU REALLY THINK I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SWING A SWORD". I said exploding, I know I should keep it in so I don't attract trouble but just because I am an adult doesn't mean I have a long fuse.

After screaming my anger out, I saw her face expressionless face turned a bit shocked. I felt a bit bad because I my anger mostly comes from the tress I have from being here.

"Sorry, I just want to say that I know how to wield a sword, I got trained from 6 years old". I said now being calmer.

"No, I shouldn't have assumed that you can't wield a sword because you are a man". She said with her face expressionless face again but you could hear she was a bit apologetic.

This surprised me because in the novel she almost never apologized. Its probably a butterfly effect of this world being reverse.

"Since you already know how to wield a sword, lets spar". She said showing her battle crazy side. She loves fighting.

"Good". And although I don't admit it, I also get enjoyment from fighting. It just brings me so much excitement.

She started swinging at me which I defended and directly went counterattacked. Even without aura her body is strong, very strong. I could feel the shock of her attack trough my body.

Like that we kept exchanging strikes. And without realizing a crowd of people watched as we battled.

Although no one was clearly winning or losing but I could feel that I am losing. She was a bit stronger than me but also had a better swordsmanship and footwork. And although it may not look like I am losing I know it won't be long till I make a mistake which would make my end.

And just like I predicted, I made a mistake. I attacked from above leaving my whole under body open for him to strike and just as I saw it he also saw it and brought his sword to the side of my body.

"Well fought". She said making me surprised. This means she acknowledges me. I wasn't sad because of my lose. No, I am exited. Although I lost, I fought very good and it was closer to a draw than an absolute defeat.

And this against the crown princess. Someone who not only has an amazing talent of the sword, but also someone who has the best resources available.

"You too, your swordsmanship is amazing". I said with genuine respect. Just like I learned to respect the sword, I also learned to respect good swordsmanship.

Just then I realized the crowd surrounding us and I am not happy. This will probably sprout rumors about me which is something which doesn't go along with my plan of hanging low.

And I can't just run away because the class is still ongoing.

"I thought I told you to learn something from the crown princess, not fight her". Said the instructor strictly to me. Now she just looks like some stupid person, like a female redditor.

But before I could refute her words someone else defended me.

"She didn't do anything wrong, I asked him for a spar and she accepted it". Said the crown princess. And although this academy preaches equality among students. There are certain students who don't fall under that equality.

"Well, if that is the case I guess he didn't do anything wrong". She said now that the crown princess chimed in. This just makes her look even more pathetic.

"Well that is everything for today". She said ending the class before immediately departing.

"Thank you for defending me earlier". I said truly thankfully.

"I didn't do it for you". She said coldly turning her face away from me making me not able to see her expression. So unknown to me you could see a small blush on her white face appear.

After swordsmanship we had M energy which is something everyone has to do but its only 1 hour in the week.

Then we had Geography which is basically learning about powerful families and later on about the places outside the empire.

Then lunch were I met with Emma again which was nice having someone to talk to after being stared at a lot because I am a boy.

Then we had aura control and adsorption.

Then history which I ended my day. Just like you can see we have a lot of similar stuff than modern times which just shows how not much the education system changed from what the Romans used.
