Fighting The Instructor

After my tiring day I hanged out a bit with Emma, but after dinner I went back to my dorm being tired.

When I arrived at my dorm I found Noah who turned to me with stars in his eyes.

"Nico, your so cool". He said like some fanboy and although I had some guesses about what he is talking I still asked to be sure.

"What are you talking about"? I asked.

"About your spar with the crown princess, the whole school already knows about you. You even have a nickname as the Sword Prince". He said.

With this all the remaining energy drained my body. Although the rumors are bad, I expected them. But the nickname is terrible.

Why? Because the nickname of the crown princess is Sword Princess. And this will bring even more attention to me, but know these kids have made me the girlfriend of the crown princess.

What a good love story. The crown princess with a man from a low ranked noble family trying to be a knight despite all the odds.

There is also another Ml who is friends with the crown prince and became interested in the heroine because of the interest from the crown prince in the heroine.

Like a zombie I dragged my body to my bed leaving a confused Noah behind. Fortunately, Noah saw my strange but bad mood and leaved me alone.

I just laid on my bed thinking about my dark future.

In another dorm

"Elle, I can't believed you defended someone". Said a girl with blond hair and blond eyes. She had a beautiful face which was smiling.

"Aurelia, leave me alone. I just did it because the instructor was being unfair". Said Elle returning her friends remark.

"Yes, Yes. You don't need to lie to me, I know you have a little crush on him". Said Aurelia, she loves to teas her friend.

"I don't blame you, I saw him and he is really cute. Who knows how handsome he will be in the future". She said with some truth, he was truly a masterpiece.

Hearing this, Elle didn't know why but she didn't like it. She didn't like other people talking about Nico, especially how handsome he is but she just shrugged this feeling away.

"I don't have any interest in such things, I just need to become the emperor". She said keeping her goal in mind.

"Well all empresses have a harem of beauties". Said Aurelia. Although she is teasing her friend she truly cares about her and hopes that maybe she could find her love. Maybe then she wouldn't be that focused only on being the emperor.

Next day (Back to Nico)

After waking up you could see dark circles under my eyes. Its clear I didn't sleep well. I just washed my face trying to make it not so clear but it didn't help much.

When I arrived at the eating hall I searched for Emma who jumped at me when she saw me.

"Nico, are you okay". She said worried about my circles under my eyes. But it felt good having some one worried about me.

"Yes, I am okay. Thank you Emma". I said sitting down while eating my breakfast uncomfortably with all of the stares I got.

"Nico, is it true about you and the crown princess"? She asked me with a bit of a strange tone.

"If you are talking about out nicknames then no, there is nothing going on, just some rumors". I said trying to clear up the confusion. I can't believe even Emma believed them.

"Ah, good". She mumbled.

"Did you say something"? I asked being to tired to listen well.

"No, nothing". She said smiling sweetly to me.

After eating my breakfast and it being time to go to class, and just like yesterday I began with swordsmanship.

"Student Nico, since you showed such talent yesterday you will fight me today while the rest of the class watches". She said smiling with a smile which shows she is up to. And it isn't hard to think what she wants to do.

And there isn't really a reason why I can refuse so I just accept it. We went to the middle of the training ground, while the rest of the students made a circle around us.

"Since it would be unfair to use aura we will only fight with our swords". She said which any brain dead idiot could understand still isn't fair fair because there is a big difference in strength.

She started attacking me immediately without warning, striking me hard from above, using both my arms with my sword to defend, I could feel my arms get numb. and although she isn't using all her strength she is using enough to bring my body down.

I didn't attack knowing it would have no use, which she used to mock me.

"Wow, I didn't expect the Sword Prince to be a coward". She said mocking her student, which is me. But her mocking didn't do anything to me and I just stood on guard.

Seeing her mocking didn't do anything she just attacked again and again till I even started having light injuries.

"Wow, Not even able to defend yourself, maybe you shouldn't pick up a sword and just dress up, and maybe you will get fame trough your wife". She said just showing how sexist she is.

After a while the injuries started becoming to much and I started to lose a big amount of blood.

"Miss Fiona, I don't think its okay to attack a student like that". Said the crown princess standing before me with her sword in her hand parring Fiona's sword. You could hear anger in her voice.

"Sorry I am late". She said looking at me with clear sadness on her face even though it doesn't have anything to do with her.

"Yes, this is going to far". Said another spectator

"How can an instructor do something like this". said another one. Now that the crown princess is there, they don't need to fear the instructor.

"Crown princess, you don't need to stand up for someone like him, let me take care of it". Said the instructor smiling like a crazy person.

The instructor tried to attack me but because of the students protecting me she couldn't and with some of her rationality she didn't kill any student. She even started using her her Aura.

Many students got injured leaving only the crown princess before me.

"Please run, you can't stop her". I said truthfully, even if she tried to defend me it wouldn't do much and she would get injured while if she just left she would be okay.

"No, I will protect you". She said looking really awesome.

I saw Fiona swing her sword toward Elle but before it could connect a light blocked it.

"Miss Fiona, How could you attack your student". Said a powerful but older voice.

With my last strength I looked behind me and saw an old woman wearing robes with someone I recognized as a classmate, while I recognized the other person as the vice dean. A powerful wizard. And with that I fell unconscious. Hoping that no one died.

A bit later

I opened my eyes with difficulty, my throat very dry.

"Water". I said with a dry voice to a back of a person.

"Ah, here". Said the person giving me some water. After I drank the water he asked me.

"How does your body feel"? He asked.

"Weak, and a little painful". I explained, I was surprised with it not hurting as much as I thought.

"Good, if we were a bit later you could have died of blood loss". He said sighing of relieve.

"How is the crown princess"? I asked. She protected me till the end and I hoped she was fine.

"She is fine, she didn't have big injuries and was quickly taken care of with healing magic". He explained to me.

"For now just rest your body, I will report that you have waken up". He said before leaving.

And when he came back there were 2 extra people. The vice dean and crown princess Elle.

"I apologize for the damage one of our teachers has caused". She said bowing to me which surprised me that someone like her did something like that.

"Thank you for apologizing and although my body hurts I am fine, I just hope the rest of the students are also fine". I said with true sincerity, It wasn't even her fault and although she is connected for someone of her position to do something like this.

"Although there were some injuries, nothing serious. I will leave you both to talk". She said to me and crown princess Elle before leaving with the nurse.

"Thank you for protecting me". I said trying to sit straight so I could show my genuine gratefulness.

"Keep laying down, I did it because I couldn't accept someone getting almost killed. I just want to apologize for not arriving sooner. I was doing a task for the teacher". She said looking really apologetic for something which wasn't even her fault. She even took my hand on her which weirded me out a bit.

"Why are you apologizing for something which isn't your fault"? I asked confused. She then mumbled something I couldn't hear. There is a lot of mumbling I can't hear, strange.

"No, I should have protected you. Maybe I should keep you safe somewhere else". She mumbled with a bit of a crazy smile.

"Did you say something". I asked. Hmm, I am asking that a lot.

"No". She said but I could find a trace of something on her face.
