8 Time Passing By...

It was has been weeks, since Linley has been tested for his magician's talent. Linley is basically fully recovered and no longer wearing any bandages that would have covered his body.

Throughout the time of recovery, Linley has been trying to train both physically and mentally. Even though the System has told that Linley has reached peaked physical condition for his body. Doesn't mean he will remain at that state forever.

After all, if a bodybuilder were to stop working out for a few years, was it possible for the current bodybuilder to match his previous self in lifting? Clearly not.

Therefore performing suitable and efficient physical exercises is a necessity for Linley.

Linley would probably do 100 push ups and 100 sit ups every day. And he then would have run 10 kilometers outside every day too, if his maid would have let him. If he was able to, then maybe after 3 years of training, Linley would become bald and one punch everything in his way.

'Joking asides, since I have ten times strength and vitality, that means I should at least to be able to do ten times the amount of exercise.' Linley inwardly thought to himself.

Linley even after doing a thousand push-ups, didn't even feel a sweat drop from his face.

"Maybe a few more thousands more." Linley begins doing even more push ups, and more for some reason, he felt a burning passion in his heart to do even more.

"8997, 8998, 8999, 9,000, 9,001. Alright, that's good enough. Now I need to do some sit-ups." Linley told himself.

The door to Linley's room opened. It was his familiar maid, Melarue. But this time she was carrying a few books.

"Young master, I brought the books you wanted." She smiled as she placed them down on a nearby desk.

The content of those books is just simple meditation techniques as Melarue has put it.

When Melarue tries to teach Linley how to perform a basic meditation at first. Linley felt this was too vague and didn't make any sense.

The first step was to concentrate. The second step was to concentrate on oneself. The third step was to concentrate on nature. The final step is to feel the magical sensation.

Linley's System even noted that these steps are too vague and needs first hand experience or a compilation of data in references before being able to analyse the problem and simplify it for the host.

"Thanks. Is this all the meditation techniques in the castle?" Linley asked.

"Yes. There is also a journal which I have personally written in other experiences, methods, and practice of other magic users relating to meditation techniques." Melarue explained.

"Is that why I'm finally getting this now?" Linley asked a question based on that explanation.

"Indeed. I personally cross reference, and removing the repeated amount of information, and also form an index to keep track with the placement of information in case you have forgotten." Melarue explained this rather calmly.

"I see. Thank you for your hard work then." Linley didn't want to imagine what a hassle that must have been but it was one.

"My pleasure. Young Master. Also, Young Master, you'll need to head outside the castle nears the first open field at noon at your father's orders." Melarue stated her words calmly.

"Wait, why?" Linley had to ask. But it was too late.

Melarue had hurriedly left during the midst of Linley's words.

"By noon, huh. Well, at least it's still in the morning right now." Linley spoke with a bit of anxiety.

Linley walked over to that small amount of books. And instead of reading them carefully, Linley simply just flipped through the pages as if he was speed reading.

Thanks to the System, reading was practically an unnecessary task to do so. Since the System is connected to the soul, therefore anything the Soul experienced and perceived even if rushed. Can still be stored as data and be later analyzed with little to no problems.

After Linley was done with the books, he then asked the System.

'System, simulate and formed a proper meditation technique that is suitable to me.'

[Host, the time of completion of simulation and analysis would take exactly 300 days, 7 hours, 2 minutes, and 16 seconds from now.]

"..." Linley was speechless.

'System, why does it takes so long?' Linley asked in his thoughts.

[Host, because the System's processing speed is limited by the Host's qualitative strength of his soul. If Host wants to improve the System's processing speed, then the Host must train his soul.]

'System, tell me all the methods to improve one's soul.' Linley was actually curious about that.

[The System has only found 1 method so far. That is for the Host to be practicing a meditation technique. Based on the System's understanding, a meditation technique can improve one's soul.]

"..." Linley just realized he just came around in a full circle.

Soon the time of noon has come near. Linley for the first time is properly leaving his room. If someone was wondering how did Linley deal with restroom problems. There was a bathroom connected to only his room.

As Linley had entered the open hall that was outside his room. Linley was kind of shocked at the sight of it. After all, Linley in his past life as Lin Feng has never been inside a castle before.

As Linley was walking throughout the clean and prestigious open hall. The System messaged him.

[Congratulations Host, you have killed a System-User. Congratulations Host, you have acquired the Title of System-User Killer. Congratulations Host, you have received a reward.]

"What?" Linley didn't realize walking can kill someone.

[Please select one of the following rewards within the 10 minutes, otherwise the all the rewards will be expired: 1. Gain half of the killed System User's current amount of EP. 2. Draw three random equipment/items in their possession. 3. Acquire a random world's connection they possess. 4. Gain 1 free attribute point.]

"Hmm." Linley thought to himself. At first, all the rewards seems generous and balanced. But a smart person has to take note how much worth was the System User who was killed.

Options of 1,2,3 are actually gambling options. While the 4th option is clearly safe and not a dumb choice to take at first.

The 1st option is only good only if the said dead System User was saving up for something. In this fantasy world, strength and power provide security, so naturally, one's EP would be on constant low due to the need to spend.

The 2nd option is really too random and based on luck too much. Therefore anyone who is sane will never take this option.

The 3rd option can actually fit Linley's current needs. After all, he has not used his free random draw ticket yet. Therefore if he takes this option, he can get a free world connection and then by exchanging his random draw ticket for EP. He could probably buy something good.

But still, Linley killed this guy by walking. Does he even have anything worthwhile, to begin with? If Linley was smart and rational, he would have immediately picked the 4th option which was a low risk-low reward. And if he uses that 1 free attribute point to enhance his soul. Then he could cut down the time his System need to analyze and form a proper meditation technique.

Of course in truth, it was not as ridiculous as Linley has misunderstood. Melarue without a doubt did kill Rudy. But Melarue was Linley's Slave and she connected to him with a spiritual connection that Linley didn't even know and therefore even the System didn't know. Therefore Melarue who was a slave of Linley and who killed Rudy. Basically grants the Linley kill. Of course, the System's reward messaging appeared immediately if the Host directly kills, but if their spiritually connected slave or summon were to kill a System User. Then the messaging would be delayed until Linley comes and basically go to loot the corpse of a System User.

Due to Linley's indecisiveness, Linley was now even at the last minute before even making a decision.

'System, what happens if I get the same world connection?' Linley had to ask. Linley felt like he would have bad luck because of easy good luck. After all, that is balance and order in nature here.

[If Host received the same world connection, then the Host received reimbursement of 25,000 EP. That's about half the price of purchasing a single random draw ticket that would allow you to connect to a random world.]

'System, what do I do if I were to receive a weak world connection like Hamtaro.' Linley asked something that was bugging him in the heart.

Linley didn't feel that option 3 was that amazing. After all, he killed the System User by walking. The chances of a weak world are extremely high.

[System would like to remind the Host. That both weak and strong worlds have both their own strength and their disadvantages. In a weak world, with little resources, their missions were likely to be easier for someone like you to accomplish. While in a strong world, holding immense potential and vast resources, their missions in comparison would like the difference between heaven and earth. It could be something akin to impossible.]

"I see." Linley didn't realize the value of missions here. After all, normally they are plot dependent in novels. Doing quests would give better rewards than simply farming and grinding in general.

Linley now unhesitatingly selected option 3. What happens next shocked him.

[Host, has acquired a world connection to the Naruto World. Congratulation, Host for connecting to another world.]

"Huh?!" Linley didn't realize the person who he killed by walking was actually trash worst than your typical trash.
