17 Havian Academy

The boring trip was finally over for Linley and his two maids. The ship have traveled for like a thousands kilometers throughout the entire week. The reason why the ship took so long, because slaughtering aquatic magical beasts that were in their way took a while.

A normal cruise ship can sail 30 knots per hour or roughly 55 kilometers per hour or at least over a thousand kilometers per day. Meaning this would have been a day trip if for some miraculous reason that aquatic magical beasts did not appear at all.

Linley and his two maids have finally reached Havian Academy... more specifically, they have reached Havian City first. Which was now near the capital of Faulen Kingdom. Havian City was a few times larger in size compare to Tri-Moon City.

As soon as they had reached the docks of this city, Linley had his noble blue robes on him. Linley would have carried swords as well, but all of his broke during the goblin grinding. Melarue was in her maid uniform and Cthulhu was also wearing a similar maid uniform and her hair was in a twin tail anime-like fashion.

As soon after they had taken a few steps. Linley begin stretching out his arms and legs. Melarue was still carrying the luggage as usual as she did before.

"It's been a while since I've properly exercise." Linley said to himself. After all, he has only been doing his routine of a lot of push ups and sit ups when on the cruise ship. And now Linley had to exercise his running ability at very least.

Linley had knew the importance of running away. It was a key ability that every Chinese main character needs. When the villain is super strong and is trying to capture and kill him, running was essential. It was the cliche of one must run away until getting a power up that would make them strong enough to defeat the enemy.

Linley then hoisted both of his maids on to each of his shoulders. Even though the combined weight of his maids and the luggage is over a hundred kilogram. One of Linley's arms was strong enough already without Battle-Qi to lift over 2 tons.

Both of his maids did not disagree with their young master if he desires this method of traveling. Therefore both Melarue, an elf maid, and Cthulhu, a little girl, were both riding on Linley's shoulders.

Linley had then begin running at full speed from the docks into the city itself. Linley had at least 10 times the physical capability of a trained normal person who reaches the limit of their body. Therefore at his top speed, it was only about 400 kilometers per hour. If Linley had add on his aura of Battle-Qi, he would at least have left a sonic boom behind him.

Havian Academy was actually easy to find even if one didn't know where to go. Because Havian Academy itself was the size of Havian City itself and it was next to each other side by side.

When they reached the entrance of the academy, it crowded with a sea of people. There were many admission stalls and each one had a long line.

Linley who didn't want to get lost from his maids, therefore he had still kept holding them on his shoulders. At the sight of this, most normal people had to step away from him and conveniently made a path for Linley and gang.

Linley easily got through the line he picked and ended up at the front relatively soon. Linley was now at one of these admission stalls and now was about to talk to this pink-haired lady.

"Hello, I'm here to register as a student for this academy." Linley spoke directly.

"Alright then. What's your age and your current rank?" The admission lady said.

"I am 13 years old and a Rank 7 Warrior." Linley spoke and he already know the drill of being a Rank 7. So he activated his shining silver aura of Perfect Control Battle-Qi for a mere moment.

The admission lady pulled out a crystal orb. It seems to be a communicating related magical artifact.

"Mr.Bones, I believe I require your assistance." The pink-haired admission lady spoke to it.

"Roger. roger." The orb shined and spoke back.

It didn't take long for a figure in a black robe and masked in darkness to have walked over. If one were to take a look him, a person would mistake this person as a skeleton, but in truth he was a powerful undead being known as a lich.

This lich was a teacher at Havian Academy. After all, who would teach the better course of necromancy? A human or a lich. Most people knew the answer to that already.

"Mr. Bones, I need your help in verifying this person's age." The admission lady pointed at Linley.

Mr. Bones with a wave of his bone staff had cast his arcane magic. This magic spell was called Bone Appraisal.

"Human, 13 years old. 170 centimeters tall. This is his true appearance. Detecting no signs of physical or magical modification." Mr. Bones spoke.

"..." The admission lady was speechless that there was a 13 years old prodigy who reached Rank 7 and wanting to apply as a student.

Normally students at this academy are separated in 6 levels. Tailoring towards Rank 1 to Rank 6 profession specifically. A person of a Rank 1 profession was called a first-year student, while someone of a Rank 6 profession was called a sixth-year student.

One will get expelled, if said student did not reach Rank 6 at the age of 30 at the very least. Going from Rank 6 to Rank 7, possess a large bottleneck that for most normal person to take a few decades to breakthrough.

As the scholar title goes, people who reached Rank 7 normally graduate from being a student. Then goes on a journey of self-reflection and discover one's path for the future. Usually, they would get offers from various and specific organizations to join as members, then they'll get trained there and move up the ranks like if it was a career.

"What's your name and background? If you have any." Mr. Bones had to ask. Since prodigies are usually affiliated with something.

"My name is Linley Arthur." Linley for the first time since reincarnated had introduced himself. Linley was still was not used to this name. So he wasn't in a habit of trying to introduce himself.

"Oh!" Both Mr. Bones and the admission lady said in relief already knowing the situation now.

"What are you doing here registering? This is meant for newcomers. You're already preregistered with both entrance examination and fee being waived already." Mr. Bones explained.

"Yes, indeed. But we'll need proof of verification. You do have that right?" The admission lady asked of Linley.

Linley did not know nor did he have anything of the sorts. Melarue who was sitting on Linley's shoulder had in his stead took out a seal of nobility and a banana and then tossed the two items towards the admission lady. The seal of nobility was related to the Baron Draco Arthur, Linley's dad.

"These are indeed the proof of verification we needed for to verify for Linley Arthur." The admission lady spoke in a relaxed tone as she nodded. Even Mr. Bones nodded as well.

'I understand the seal. But how does a banana prove my identity?!' Linley thought to himself.

The whole banana being a proof of verification seems stupid in concept, but was very practical in reality. In the past, it took only the noble's seal to prove verification, but now times have changed. The people of nobility can die and it would be bad if someone were to impersonate them, therefore there was also a requirement of bringing a key item along well.

The key item is usually never a precious heirloom since an impersonator would believe that item to be really important in proving their identity. Normally the key item is a trinket or a common food item that is easily obtainable. The key item is usually designated beforehand by both parties when doing preregistration.

Just by failing the simple task of bringing the key item, usually meant execution on the spot for impersonation. Even bringing the wrong item for the first time, it would lead to the same results.

There were reincarnates who were lucky enough to end up killing children of nobility and acquiring seal of nobility. But usually end up failing in bringing in the key item that was necessary to properly verify and allow them to impersonate. Therefore a good number of reincarnates died from trying to go these schools and academies when trying to impersonate someone else.

"Linley, you can go and unpack stuff at the dormitory or if you so choose you can live off campus. As a student already, you're allowed to have a maximum of 3 servants to attend to your needs. Be sure to pass by the notice board. There's important information there you'll need to know. It is at near the entrance of the main academy building itself. The big building is the main building." Mr. Bones explained as he pointed at direction of the dormitory.

Linley ignored the dormitory first and focused on this notice board with important information. If it's important, then he had to know. It was as simple as that.

Linley was still traveling while holding his maids on his shoulders. Linley and his two maids has reached the main building of the Academy which was over 500 meters tall and over a thousand meters wide.

Linley read this notice board and noticed these words:

The once in a century tournament had begun once more. It was called the Battles Under The Heavens, filled with contestants that were known to be the young generation who was considered to be publicly the strongest and most gifted people on this continent called Sky Blue Continent. There are special guests who personally comes and watch this tournament that is hosted at Havian Academy.

The King of Faulen Kingdom, Leylin Faulen. Accompanying by his side, is his wife, Celine. Two of his only children were also attending as well. Dixie and Delia Faulen. They were both known as the first prince and first princess of the Faulen Kingdom.

Future Supreme Magician, Roxy, a 15 years old Grandmaster titled magician.

There were only 16 contestants only. There were three people out of the sixteen that boasted of the highest winning chance. In this tournament, most contestants were Rank 9 at the very least, a peak scholar.

The first one was Ark Samson, the Hero of the Twilight War. He with a party had subjugated the Twilight Zone in the King's name. He was the famed Holy Knight of the Church of Augusta. Blessed and baptized by the holy maiden and Pope. Currently at the age of 20, at Rank 12 Warrior, a peak Master-level.

The second was Roland Boliver, the Absolute Sword of the Desolate Wilderness. At the age of 10, he had reach the peak of Warrior Scholar. He has done battles with over hundreds of scholars in the Desolate Wilderness during his growth. Currently at the age of 15, at Rank 12 Warrior, a peak Master-level.

Lastly was the dark horse of the entire tournament. His name was Linley Arthur, the Dragon Contractor, having made a contract with a red dragon. Current age of 13, at least Rank 7 Warrior. Do not underestimate this person. Nobody had known his bottom line, his true potential has yet unfolded.

"What the hell?!" Linley said immediately.

There were simply too many bombshells at once. There were references and he was in a famed tournament that he didn't even know he was in. He didn't know he made a contract with a dragon nor did he know he had chances of winning against peak master-level people.
