16 mom

Alex looked around the compound, stunned and amazed by its beauty, inside was much more space than the image in the memories he got, a magnificent white mansion stood tall in the middle of the compound.

Alex could roughly estimate the number of rooms in the mansion since it was a five floors mansion.

He could see maids and some guards moving back and forth through the open windows.

Outside, there was a neat roll of cars on the left side of the compound, and on the right side was a court of what Alex believed was called an outdoor game court, Alex could see so many games that according to his new memories, people enjoy playing.

August seemed to have noticed Alex's gaze roaming the compound.

"Are you alright? Alex" August's voice made Alex snap out of his awe state.

Alex just looked at August and gave a very bright smile. August looked like he was in his 20s from up close but Alex already knew that he was over thirty.

He had average looks with black hair and black eyes, combined with his slightly different guard uniform, August gave one the impression of a reliable friendly uncle.

"It's nothing. I'm alright, I'm just glad to be back home" Alex said looking at the glass door before him.

"Hahaha, I can understand you, since you haven't been away from home for such a long time except for school of course" August laughed while opening the door for Alex to go in.

"You can go up, your mom is in her room"

" Sure, thanks"

" It's nothing, I will go contact your dad now"August finally turned and left, closing the door behind him.

Alex looked around the living room, taking a deep breath, he headed straight to his 'mom's room which from his new memories showed was on the third floor, he didn't understand why she wasn't on the fifth, though, to him, it didn't matter which floor she picked because no one could change her mind was made.

Alex had just reached the stairs and was ready to go up when he turned back and looked at the living room again.

The house was screaming expensive, the living room was as wide as a dueling field back in his home world.

Alex turned away and went up, thinking of something known only to him.

He soon arrived on the third floor and quickly located his mother's room.

Alex stood in front of the door, having mixed feelings.

Anxiousness, happiness, sadness, and something else he couldn't understand, it felt like something was tugging tightly at his heart.

"Zero, why do I suddenly get all emotional? I don't understand, why I feel things that I shouldn't. Like getting excited easily, getting sad easily, I even get frightened by simple things sometimes, why do I feel all these?" Alex asked, confused, he was an immortal already and should behave like one like what zero had told him while in the forest.

But sometimes, he finds it difficult to control his own emotions. Even now, he didn't know why he was nervous to open the door and meet his ' mom'.

[Replying to host. The host is being affected by the last traits of the previous owner of this body, a small portion of his will is still residing within your soul, that's why the host's reaction to things the host could ignore is overrated.]

Zero explained and this made Alex frown"if his will is still within me, why couldn't I sense it?"

[That's because the will is completely merged with the Host soul and can't be differentiated, making it almost impossible to be detected]

Alex pinched the bridge of his nose, this was going to be troublesome if not treated urgently, unless he would keep behaving like a real sixteen years old instead of an immortal that he was.

"Is there a way to fix it?" Alex asked, he hoped zero could provide a solution to his problem.

[It's already being fixed host, the host will soon gain full control over the remaining will in the host's soul.

Progress is 13%]

Alex sighed in relief at zero's statement, he was super happy to know his emotions would soon be under his control again, he was somehow tired of reacting to things he shouldn't react to.

Alex returned his attention to the door and tried to listen if he would hear anything from inside.

All his ears could pick up were the sniffing sounds which he believed belonged to his mother.

Alex suddenly felt his heart tighten from hearing her, him being a lone child in his old world and never having the chance to experience what it felt like to have a parent.

Alex thought it might probably be because of his uncontrollable emotions that made his heart tighten because although he was sad, he didn't believe that sadness was enough to make him feel out of breath.

Knock! Knock!!

Alex knocked lightly on the door but no response came as she kept crying.

Alex increased the force of his hand against the door but still no response.

"Mom, it's me, Alex" for some reason, the word Mom felt strange to Alex like it wasn't meant for him.

Tap...tap...thug...tap...tap

Alex heard quick steps and what seemed like something fell ' did she fall?'

Click!!

The door was jolted open so strongly that Alex believed it could probably be broken off if given a little more pressure.

In the next instance, Alex felt a strong impact on his body as a woman lunged at him, Alex didn't dodge and let her hug him tightly while still crying like a baby.

"Alex....hic..w-wh...sniff.. where d-did you... sniff...go to.. sniff...are you hurt?" The woman asked, still clinging tightly to Alex like an octopus.

Alex suddenly felt great hostility towards the old Alex for being so stupid and causing this woman this pain.

Even though part of it wasn't the old Alex's fault, Alex wished he could meet him and give him a fine beati...ahem... sorry, give him some friendly advice.

"I'm okay mom, I just got lost but I'm back now, I am not even hurt too, see? I'm fine, can you stop crying now?" Alex said as he pushed slightly away from her grasp and showed her his body while giving a sweet smile.

But for some unknown reason, Alex thought his smile made her cry even more.

"Waaah..waaah..my poor b-baby..waaah" she released another wave of tears.

Alex quickly pulled her into his embrace while gently stroking her hair to calm her down, since Alex was taller than her, his chest quickly got soaked with her tears.

Alex was feeling extremely terrible right now, he felt his heart being squeezed "it's okay mom, don't cry anymore, I won't get lost ever again" although the word still felt wrong when he said it, he forced himself to say it.

Sob....sob...sob

She finally stopped crying and was now sobbing lightly instead. Alex didn't move and just let her calm down in his embrace. After some time, the weight on Alex's arms suddenly increased, he looked down only to discover that his mother had passed out.

Alex was confused as to why she suddenly went limbs, he didn't know what to do
