Softer
Liam's POV
One of my hands held Anastasia by her waist and the other one wrapped around her to help her stand straight instead of bending to the back and falling off the stairs.
As a natural reflex, Anastasia clenched my shoulder so roughly to the point that I could feel her nails getting pushed into my skin.
It was not painful at all though because I had clothes on and also because her nails were not too pointy and sharp, they were more almond-shaped and not that even that long.
I was about to open my mouth to ask if she was okay, but the words got stuck in my throat when I noticed how she was staring at my face.
Her stares were not as her usual ones, her eyes for some reason looked softer while she was looking into my eyes.
