1 The Beginning

"I have really transmigrated? It's not a dream right? Ouch. It's real." Jiang Yingyue pinch herself.

After making sure it's all real, she tried to sit and look at her surrounding. She realized that she is inside a dilapidated room. All of the room are made out of woods, drops of last night's rain is still leaking from the rooftop.

She looks at her hand and almost screamed. This is a children hands! Before she could sort her thought, a young woman walked into the room.

"Yue'er, what are doing? Go back to bed, you haven't fully recover yet."

"Eh.. okay." Jiang Yingyue let the young woman in front of her to take her back to the bed.

"I already said to fully rest. Here is your porridge. Eat first."

Jiang Yingyue scanned the young woman in front of while she feed her a bowl of porridge. Jiang Yingyue may not have seen a real ancient lady in her previous world, but she have seen picture and traditional drama in her previous life.

The young woman in front of her definitely are not some rural woman. Even when she is only wearing a dull-coloured cotton cloth with a simple silver hairpin, it could not hide the elegance showing from her behaviour.

Jiang Yingyue then realized that the young woman in front of her is quite beautiful, beside her skin being a bit tan, she has a face that could bring people to love and pamper her.

"Yue'er, what's wrong?"

The young woman looked a bit surprised and perplexed seeing Jiang Yingyue agree so easily, but she just give her some water and talked to her about resting properly before leaving.

Jiang Yingyue hear a familiar robotic sound, before she blacked out.

"Uh.. my head." Jiang Yingyue hold her head from the pain.

A while after the pain subsidies, she realized she have a memory that wasn't hers but felt like its her memory all along.

Feeling a bit confused, Jiang Yingyue slowly sort the memory of previous soul that she had received.

Her current body, also named Jiang Yingyue, is 6-years-old now. And the young woman before is her mother.

Jiang Yingyue was born in a small mountain town far from the capital. Her father died hunting in the mountain when she was 3, his body was not found. Her mother, He Li Ming, worked hard on her own to sustain the small family of two by selling embroideries to the famous clothing store in town.

The Madam Li that He Li Ming was talking is the current Madam of the City Mayor Li. Her daughter, Li Jia Hua, is 8-years-old now and is the legitimate and only daughter of Li Family.

Thus explaining the reason why she is also the most arrogant young lady in the town. She was infamous for indirectly making people lives miserable because of her spoilt behaviour.

That's what Jiang Yingyue thought at first, but Li Jia Hua never care about other people and only cares about herself. Jiang Yingyue ended up getting hurt many times just to please Li Jia Hua.

The current Jiang Yingyue wryly smile at the thought of the previous body's thought. Li Jia Hua may give you all sort of things, but that's only what she didn't like or her leftovers. It is never something important or worth any meaning other than throwing unwanted trash to Jiang Yingyue.

The previous owner fall into the pond when she tried to jump to grab Li Jia Hua's handkerchief. Li Jia Hua seeing the previous owner fall into the pond ended up getting angry because she failed and left her behind with her other lackeys and maid. Jiang Yingyue realized the current world is similar to her past Ancient China era. Most of the cultures are the same. People's life are divided into category of noble line and commoners, there is even a slavery still existing. Jiang Yingyue felt conflicted.

As a person from an advanced technology world, she believe in equality. But even in her previous world, people's life are divided into those who are rich and those who are poor. So she won't be so hypocrite and do things such as those protagonist from her previous world's novel who try to force equality when they transmigrated.

She will treat her friends and people equally, but doesn't mean she will try to force her equality thoughts into this new era. Even if she will received many gratitudes, she will also received many wrath and hatred. She is not some kind of Saint who can help everybody.

Jiang Yingyue is just a normal human being, she is not some special agent, doctor, or martial artist in her previous world. She is just a normal accounting college student. You can give her calculation even if it might not be accurate, she definitely doesn't have the power to be an arrogant and over-bearing transmigrator.

The system shop are divided into 4 categories, Skill Book, Elixir, Clothing and Miscellaneous.

Skill Book, as the name said, let you obtain skills such as embroidery, poetry, and all sort of skills that is seen as a must for a talented ladies. There are even skill such as Cooking skill or Horse-Riding skill.

Elixir is related to medicine. Other than life-saving potion and herbal medicine, Jiang Yingyue probably wouldn't use other elixir such as poison or aphrodisiac often. There's even a medicine with effect similar to beauty mask and lotion. And potions for increasing attributes.

Clothing is more interesting, as they are similar to RPG's armor and accessories. Equiping clothing and accessories bought will help in increasing the attributes, mainly in charm.

Miscellanous is more weird in Jiang Yingyue's opinion. It provides System services such as tracking a person or monitoring. There's even a scanner for a person.

All of the shop items are greyed, as Jiang Yingyue doesn't have any points.

"How do you gain points?" Jiang Ying Yue asked.

<By completing Quest given. As the Main purpose of this system is to sucessfully be the master of the harem, there will be other Side Quest given to help Host achieved the Main Quest.>

"Wait.. I only need to become a master of harem right? There's no saying that I need to became the current Emperor's concubine. I can just marry a prince and became an empress later on?"

<It is feasible to do such to achieve the Main Quest. The system will just accompany and help the Host in achieving the Main Quest.>

"Well, that's makes my life easier. But I know nothing of the current emperor. And asking He Li.. umm, my mother will make me look suspicious. As I'm just a normal citizen far away from the imperial harem, I think the best option now is to increase my skills and attributes." Jiang Ying Yue try to make a plan in her head.

"System, how do you develop skills."

<To develop skills, the host can choose two ways. The first one is from the shop, it will automatically help the host to gain the skill instantly. The host won't need much practice as the skill will integrate with the host's muscle memory to give the same result as practicing for a long time. Most skills from the shop are divided into beginner, intermediate, advanced and master level.>

"Hmm.. that's quite convenient. But it will be suspicious if I suddenly gained a skill I never learned before. How about the second one?"

<The second way to develop skills is to do it manually, the system will grade the progress of host's practice.>

"This is more doable but require more time.. either way it's free!"

Jiang Yingyue tried to convince herself in beconing more diligent in increasing attributes and skills in order to live and go past this quest in order to fulfill her contract with the system.

Even when she only has slight knowledge over backyard scheming from drama and novel. She decided she will be the best schemer of them all.
