5 Chapter 5 Demonized Tiger

He quickly drop the idea about joining any clan after he remembered his experience with wicken elder. In fact he prefers to stay away from cultivator society unless necessary.

"staying here is not that bad too, it's secluded from any cultivator. I feel a lot safer here." he thought to himself and a lot if idea start appearing in his mind.

Suddenly someone knock his door. It almost burst open by that knocking.

"mister Lucis, I brought lunch." Dini voice ringing from outside. She's sounds like a maid or something.

Lucis quickly open the door and greet Dini.

"good afternoon." Lucis smile. He start getting use to Dini coming to his house everyday.

"where's Elder Dun?" Lucis take the bowl. There's a rice and roasted fish in it. At least the food is similar to his hometown.

"grandpa Dun going near the dragon mountains, there's a problem at the farm." Dini look down didn't dare to look at Lucis fase. Don't know if she's shy or just afraid of him.

Dragon mountain is the tallest mountain among the 7 that circling the village. It's directly behind the village with the shape of dragons head. DragonFort is named after this mountain.

"oh, what are you doing anything after this?" Lucis casually start a conversation to ease her nervousness.

"I.. I'm going to tend the chicken farm.. "

"oh.. Okay.. " Lucis start feeling awkward with how Dini behave around him. Maybe it's still too soon to start a normal conversation.

"by the way, what's the problem with the farm?" Dini jolt surprise with the question. She just about to excuse herself and ran back home when Lucis suddenly ask her.

"it's.. They said there's a wild beast destroying the vegetable field." she's nervously answering him. The villagers mainly growing vegetable and only growing grain on the small flat land.

"Monster?" Lucis feel a bit surprised. He still remember how the white wolf chase him for a week. If he found the wolf with his current condition, he would roast the meat for sure. It's a deep grudge.

"I'm not sure.. My grandfather and a few villager brought a weapon with them."

When Lucis heard it, he quickly jolt in surprise. It sounds serious than he thought. There's a hunter in the village and they can take care of it if it's just a wild boar.

"wait a moment." Lucis stop Dini from retreating and quickly eat the food before handing the bowl back to Dini.

Dini look at him confused. Why he suddenly eat so fast. Usually she will pick up the bowl the next time she come.

"which direction your grandfather goes to? I want to take a look" he rush out of his mud house and look at the direction of dragon mountain.

Dini suddenly remembered that her grandfather told her about Lucis being immortal. Maybe he want to catch the beast. Besides, looking at how grave the villagers expression earlier, maybe it's great that Lucis willing to help.

"let me guide you." she put the bowl and walk in front of Lucis toward the small hill near Lucis house.

Lucis hesitated and wanted to stop her but she walk so fast it almost look like she's running. Despite being skinny and look weak, she's faster than she look.

"alright but stay close to me no matter what happened." Lucis said as he activate the energy in his leg added with wind spell. It only took him one step to cover 10 meter distance and he look like he's walking normally too.

Dini is surprised when she look at him. She once again reminded of how amazing cultivator are.

She quickly blush when Lucis walking close beside her like they're couple. While she's running wild in her mind, Lucis spread his devine sense covering 50 meter around them. This is the maximum area he can cover with his current ability. Of course, he can't sense it as clear as looking with eyes or smell with his nose, it's blurry but it's enough to roughly sense any living being around that area.

The path is rough with small boulder and dead tree. The surrounding is a thick forest. It take them an hour and a half with Dini speed before the forest thinning down. It took another 15 minutes before they can see a hut and few type of vegetable field around it. Half of it is destroying getting trampled and no sign of any of it being eaten.

"grandpa!" Dini ran toward the Hut panicked when she saw the blood on the ground but there's no one around. There's some broken wood spear laying around and a big claw mark.

The Hut door open and Elder Dun pop out looking at Dini.

"nini,what are you doing here? Come here quickly, it's dangerous outside!" Elder Dun shout as he brandish his small machete on his hand while scanning the surrounding.

Suddenly

"watch out!" Lucis shout as he hug Dini and jump out from where she stand.

As soon as he grab Dini, a shadow suddenly landed at the spot where Dini stand before. The beast look like a tiger but there's no pattern on it's body and it's fur is jet black.

"the beast is appear again!"

"let's go together elder!"

"let's go, kill this damn beast!"

The people inside the hut quickly rush out when they saw the beast almost bite Lucis and Dini. It's look like they're ready to fight to death protecting them. Some of them have broken bone and claw mark on their body.

Dini is blushing red in Lucis embrace completely forgotten about the beast. She keep staring at Lucia face.

"stop!" Lucis raised his hand blocking the villagers and glace at them with a serious expression.

"young.." before one if the old farmer finish his sentence, the black tiger jump trying to claw his face. It quickly recognise which one the weakest among the people. The beast sense that Lucis is more troublesome than the other so it choose to drop their number by killing the weak first.

The old farmer frozed in place and his face is drained of blood terrified at the face of death.

Unfortunately for the beast, Lucis deflect it paw upwards and he punch the tiger head. The black tiger is thrown upward and landed flat on the ground losing it balance.

All the villagers eyes is wide open with disbelief. The beast is as tall as Lucis shoulder and weight almost 700 or 800 kilogram. Just a punch and the beast is thrown in the air. If that hit human, their head would explode instead of getting thrown like that.

"what the.. "

"how is that possible?"

The beast doesn't look like it's sustained any injury at all except getting dizzy. It roar at Lucis furiously brandishing it's yellow fang. It never feel humiliated like this indeed.

"everyone get back!"

Lucis shout at the villagers and run toward the tiger as he clenched his fist. Instantly, his fist is envelope with fire and meet against the tiger paw.

All the villagers quickly retreat near the Hut. At this point they know that only Lucis capable of fighting against monster like this. They're experience with monster attack and know exactly what the current situation is.

Despite how powerful Lucis look like, he keep getting thrown away destroying a couple of fences but he keep coming back for more instead of the beast coming at him. It's like he's a beast himself.

"grandpa what should we do?" Dini panicked looking at the scratched on Lucis body. He's bathe in his own blood fighting the monster.

"go hide in the Hut. If mister Lucis lose, we will fight it. We can't let this beast go to the village!"

The villagers grouping together ready to join the battle at the moment notice.
