19 Chapter 19 Making Cave
After a short lunch break, Lucis went back to the wood with Kuji in tow as his DJ to get more firewood. She entertain him with her chatter box blabbing again and again.
This time, Lucis learn his lesson. After he cut down the tree into log, he use vacuum spell to dry it first before proceed to the next tree.
Lucis working and Kuji talking. The pair spend the rest of the afternoon inside the forest gathering firewood.
Instead of carrying the log back to the village, Lucis split the log into firewood on the spot and Kuji gathered it in one place, while she's at it, she didn't forget to comment here and there like an advisor.
It's about 4pm when they stop and sit down on the tree trunk. All the tree on that small hill almost have been cut down at this moment.
"Kuji, tell the villager to pick all these firewood." Lucis glance and the three small mountain firewood. It's worth a year supply in DragonFort village he estimate.
"okay, we sell that one." she put her hand on her waist looking like a boss.
"no, why do you always want to sell everything you saw?" Lucis smile bitterly at Kuji. Maybe she's better than Luna when it comes to money or she's just too greedy.
"this is high quality firewood. We use different type of wood for every day use. It's wasteful to just burn it away." she frown, feel being wronged.
Lucis look at Kuji expression, staring at the pile of wood full with complicated expression.
"we use all the villager firewood, if we don't give them back, how are they going to survive the winter?"
"ah" Kuji suddenly shout with surprise and quickly fell deep in her own thoughts.
"let's get them different firewood tomorrow." she slam her fist on her left palm. Lucis speechless looking at her idea.
'I want to enjoy life and cultivate in peace, not working everyday.' Lucis though and almost said it out loud.
"forget it, I'm not that free you know... Anyways, I'm going around the mountain picking some herb. You return first and tell them to pick this up." Lucis turn around and quickly using his energy to enchant his speed disappearing from Kuji sight. A step slower and Kuji will attack him with more words.
It's almost 5pm when Lucis return to the village. He pick some of the herb that he mark around the 7 mountains. Most if it is still sapling so he leave it in the wild until he can make his own herb garden.
Most of the plant he brought is considered to be the most basic plant in the forest but with Lucis knowledge of combining plants he learned from the jade and the wood energy assistance, he basically can make any herb he want. Of course the wood energy he use is the most basic type of energy since he hasn't build his foundation yet but it's enough for simple alchemy medicine.
He return to his house and once again stunned looking at his collapsed mud house.
'I'm so poor' Lucis shake his head before entering his house. At least half of the roof still there.
He made the medicine that Luna request quickly and made some simple wood cup for the medicine. Like the first time, the medicine is still two portion.
He ask Dini to send the medicine to Luna and gave her the other extra as bonus. He's kind of afraid of Luna at this point with how brave she is with him like she's playing with him with her finger.
"I'm such a generous God." Lucis nod with satisfaction as he look at Dini walking away in confusion. Most of the villager is afraid of him so he didn't have to bother with them but few of these youngsters surprisingly brave enough.
After tidying his house, he went to the river downhill for a quick bath. The river is almost hundred meter wide with a lot of big river rock around and inside the river.
He swim around cooling himself and lay down at the nearby rock feeling like a holiday. He's been working hard since he was small brat, even harder in the clan. Now that he got freedom, better treat it like a holiday.
"this is strange, the entire mountains have a thin energy but the river is surprisingly have a decent flow." he wave his hand at the water examining it.
"the water is normal, the energy is just stronger here... then what is going on?" getting more confused. He remember reading something about it and there's nothing with similar case. Except the so called spiritual water, there's no other water that flow with energy in it.
Suddenly, he smacked his fist in his left palm. " I should make secret cave in this river." he smile widely.
Lucis has been vary cautious person when he regained his past memories. Hiding and observing is his most top priority in every step he did. This is the reason he can survive for a whole 4 months being chased by elder wicken.
Having a secret room making him feel safer and sleep better. This world is just too dangerous for him and human greed is not something one should underestimate. Elder wicken is one of the case.
Unless he can hide completely without a trace, he never feel safe.
He ran back to his house fetching his Solidus sword and get back to the river like he's chasing someone with his sword.
"so far I still can't make any illusion formation, besides, formation will attract cultivator easily. If I make it underwater, no one will expect it." he murmured with a big smile as he ran downhill frightened some people looking at him with his giant sword.
He dive down at the deepest part of the river and start digging down straight and only surfacing to get a breath before disappearing down again.
He stop after digging down for 10 meter. It's no longer a dirt but stone similar to the mountain wall.
"I should dig deeper, spiritual sense still can sense something this shallow." he look at the stone under his feet unsatisfied. The sky start getting dark outside and a lot if people bathing near the river hundreds meters upriver from him.
With determination, he continued digging deeper and deeper.
"it's not deep enough." he frown looking at the river while standing at the big rock at the center of the river.
He dive down again and continue digging deeper and deeper still feeling unsatisfied.
He no longer digging down straight. He sometimes digging a slope and sometimes almost horizontal before going down again. By the time he stop and resurface from the river, the moon is high up on the sky. It's almost midnight.
"it's almost 800 meters down.. " he look and considering weather to continue digging down or not.
One thing he noticed down there is the energy is so thick that it's almost 50 times stronger than the NorseThunder clan headquarters.
"the black rock surprisingly blocking most of the energy underground from flowing upward.. this is too precious. The BlueCloud clan will kill for this.." he suddenly frightening himself thinking about it.
"this is cultivating heaven. I need to carefully hide this." with that, he dive down at the bottom of the hole and star making a u turn to make a pocket air down the hole.
He use solidus sword and start digging 10 meter wide room for cultivating room. Although it's a crude and ugly shape like a grave, it is enough for cultivation. Just digging and transportation the stone back outside already took him a lot of time and energy. By the time he feel it's acceptable, it's already dawn.
