16 Chapter 16 My Sword

Lucis spend a lot if time trying to get use his new strength. Dini look at him strangely, moving like a robot as he eat the breakfast she send.

"Lucis, are you injured?" Dini curious with Lucis strange behavior.

"no, I'm completely fine." he smiled at Dini. An angel visiting him early morning freshening his sight.

Dini turn her head and look at the collapse wall and roof. " are you sure?.." she said with doubtful tone.

"Yup, actually I feel even better." he steal a glance at Dini appreciating her beauty. Giving her that potion is the best decision he ever made. With that, the porridge he eat taste even better.

"hmmm.. what happened to this house?" she look around at all the mess. With the already small room added with the collapse structure, one will doubt if anyone actually live here.

"ah!" Lucis look at her, he just realized about the condition of his house. He's too occupied by cultivation and adjusting his new strength.

"I made this yesterday and the wall collapsed." he took the Solidus sword from under his bed and brandish it proudly to Dini. Including the handle, the solidus sword is taller than Dini.

Dini is taken aback looking at the huge sword. It even made a thud sounds when Lucis stand it in front of her.

With that, he brag about it like he just unlocked some difficult achievement in hell mode game. Looking prouder than ever.

They chat more than usual that morning until they're getting interrupted by Luna.

"Lucis what happened to your house?" she cover her mouth, frightened with how much damage on the house.

"well... forget about it. Nothing to important." he thought about it and feel too lazy to explain.

"are you okay?" she look at Lucis feeling worried. She step closer looking at Lucis moving awkwardly.

"I'm fine, even if the whole house collapse on me, it won't leave a scratch on me anyway." he tilt the solidus sword a bit trying to get Luna attention to it.

"I heard uncle Kunan said you're doing something... strange yesterday." she almost blur out the word crazy on him but manage to hold it in.

"I'm training. It's called training." he replay the scene in his head and realized that he really did look like a crazy person.

"ah training..." Luna squint her eyes looking at him suspiciously. She glance at Dini that staring at her and look at Lucis again.

"I already send a letter to my brother this morning. We can trade all of this with his help." she casually sit on the bed beside Lucis.

'Luna. How shameless!' Dini curse at Luna. She arive earlier but she still standing until now but this women just come and sit beside him like it's normal. Clearly wisdom came with her age.

Looking at Luna completely ignoring his majestic sword, he put it back on the ground feeling embarrassed. Maybe it's just too ugly after all.

"that's good, I'll hunt a couple more beast in the future. We can trade it with grain."

"good?..."

" that's all?" Luna frown and stare dagger at Lucis.

"Em.." Lucis quickly process more what he should do. "ah firewood, I'll go after breakfast."

Luna didn't say anything and continue staring dagger at him like he have a huge debt against her. Maybe a couple thousand coin.

"my medicine!" her voice sounds a bit angry and annoyed when she realized Lucis completely forgotten his promise. What annoyed her more is how he sounds completely happy earlier when he approached his house.

"ah!" Lucis shout. He slowly turn his head and look at the rubble in the house. "you see... I'm not in the position to make any medicine now."

"how about tomorrow?" he smile look at Luna feeling a bit guilty.

The atmosphere turn completely silent and awkward. Dini blinking looking at meek Lucis and angry Luna. Did they just forgot that she still standing here?

"fine!" Luna stand up. "but I'll take this as assurance!" she look at solidus sword and reach to pick it up.

Just when she about to lift it up and leave, she's quickly getting stuck and unable to lift the solidus sword. It's not even budge.

Luna face turn red embarrassing. She just about to show them who's boss but it's quickly turn into a joke. She thought solidus sword is not really that heavy after looking at Lucis holding it like a wood stick with ease. Turn out, it feel like she's trying to lift the earth itself.

"ehem, this afternoon... I'll go to your house this afternoon and make the medicine." Lucis feeling awkward while holding back trying not to laugh at her. The scene earlier is just too hilarious. It's not that he can't brew it now but he use up all the plant yesterday for the gathering energy potions.

"fine! This afternoon!" with that, she stomped her feet and walk away. Her face is reddish.

"Erm.. I'll go back first, there's still some work to do." Dini feel it's too awkward staying here after what just happened. Luna is her best friend but she also didn't want to take her side against Lucis.

"okay." Lucis nod casually and continue eating.

After breakfast, Lucis salvage all the useful item under the rubble.

After sorting all the mess, he picked his sword, swing it over his shoulder and walked towards the center of the village.

The center of the village is not as lively as yesterday. Most if the men already go to the farm. There's just some old man and gang of mothers taking care of the fire and some kid running around. There's not much to do at this point, they only need to dry the meat.

All the young girl participate and help around, the most eye catching among them is Yina and Kuji. While Kuji have a slightly darker skin, her beauty doesn't lose out against Luna. Her body is perfectly shape with all the hunt she does with her father.

Yina while not as beautiful as Dini, she look pretty than Luna with her pale skin but she's way skinnier than Luna. Her perfect shape face is ruined with her shallow cheek make her almost look like refuge that doesn't have enough food to eat. According to the villagers, she's barely 16 but she's the breadwinner for her house. Her father Kunan is cripple and can't really work anymore and her mother is laying sick in home. Except for Kunan small vegetable farm for their own food, Yina is the only one that have small income making clothes supporting her parents and her younger brother.

Everyone stunned looking at Lucis walking over with gigantic swords over his shoulder. He made it look like as light as a shovel.

"uncle Kunan." Lucis look at Kunan. Kunan and Boris with their daughter stay back helping take care of the huge amount of meat.

"holy!" boris jump with surprise. "what is that thing?" he look at the solidus sword on Lucis shoulder.

"this?" Lucis swing down the sword and hold it standing feeling very proud. Yina and Kuji cover the 'o' expression on their mouth with their hand astonish with Lucis majestic appearance holding gigantic sword.

"my sword, it's call Solidus." Lucis feeling smug very proud about it. It barely hidden on his face.

"let me see." Boris feeling threatened by it, he's the most powerful person in the village before but now all his light dimmed down by Lucis.

He hold the sword firmly with both hands. As soon as Lucis release his hand that holding the handle, it quickly fall down dragging Boris along with it like he's being pulled down.

Lucis quickly catch the sword. "carefull." he really overestimate Boris strength. He thought he could at least lift it even if he can't swing it. This is magical world after all, even without being a cultivator, people in this world stronger than earth people especially for a hunter like him.

"holy mother earth!" Boris step back and catch his breath. "this thing is a slab iron. How is this a sword?" his eyes wide open feeling incredulous with how easy Lucis lift it back.

"mister Lucis is immortal, what do you know?" Kunan said feeling proud like he's the one being an immortal.

"uncle, grandma Nan said we don't have enough firewood. Where can I get more?

"ah, yes I remember she said you'll help. Wudie, come here." Kunan call a young man that busy talking with Yina and Kuji. He's look about 22 or 23 years old dude.
