10 Chapter 10 Potions
After part way with Dini, Lucis shut himself in the room and clean the furnace thoroughly taking out the rust.
During his 3 day seclusion, he will go out during the night and patrolling the surrounding 5 kilometer and pick up some simple plant and herb.
"for now, just combining simple plant and creating some simple potion first. I don't have enough plant for energy gathering potion yet." he cast fire hand spell and and lit the fireplace.
He put three stone around the fire for the cauldron stand and put the cauldron on top of it.
"the simple one I can create now is something that even mortal can use.. The ingredients I have... " he fall in his deep thought.
"blood cleansing potion." he smack his thigh. "not only it can make people healthy, it also make make skin beautiful!"
He quickly transfer his energy on the fire controlling the heat. With external fire, controlling it is easier than using one own fire. It also save energy.
After the cauldron get balance heat, he throw some leaf and root inside and control it with his devine sense and energy, floating the ingredients at the center in the cauldron.
Slowly, instead of getting burn, the plants and root start melting inside. A bit of impurity fall to the bottom of the cauldron.
After about 10 minutes, the ingredients inside completely melt. he then pick the red flower and toss it inside mixing it to the liquid. Lucis is sweating like crazy, he never thought that controlling the flame will be difficult.
This time, the flower petals didn't take long to melt. It's like the liquor absorbing the petal instead of the petal getting melted as he pour energy into it.
"strange.. The color support to be red.. " he look at the brown color liquid that shape round ball the size of coin.
After everything is mixed inside, he quickly activate his cultivation technique and pour more energy to the liquid nourishing it according to the jade.
Suddenly, the ball of liquid start turning red like its been tainted by a drop of blood.
"so that's what's going on.. "
"only a person using that green jade cultivation can use this alchemy methods. What a wicked person. Now I know why he put it together in that sack while some of the jade laying outside."
He remembered back when he grab that sack. There's also other green jade and other color laying around on top of the stone table. There's also some jade put next to a magic tool. He really thought he got bag of holding and already feeling happy. After all, even elder wicken doesn't have storage treasure with him. He put everything in his backpack like he's some sort of adventure in manga back on earth. truly funny to look at.
After a couple more minutes, the ball of liquid completely red and start giving off the smell of flower.
Lucis pour the raw potion to the wooden bowl quickly and add some water. He quickly pour more wonden energy again to complete the alchemy process.
With that, the Blood cleansing potion is done. One process is enough for two bottles of potions. Sadly, he doesn't have any jade or crystal bottle so he can only use it before it's expired.
He pour half of it to a cup and drink the other half directly.
He halt his energy in his body to check the effects if it's effective for normal body.
After 10 minutes or so, the potion start taking effect. He feel hot starting from his chest and slowly spreading to his whole body.
"this is the cleansing process.." he's getting exited. Even during his stay in NorseThunder clan, he never ate or drink any elixir. This is his first time.
"wait a minute, cleansing!" he suddenly remembered about the process of body extracting impurity. He take off his shirt and ran to the river downhill.
The kids and other villager looking at him surprised.
When he arrived at the river, he just about to jump in the river when he saw the wives gang cleaning clothes at the river bank.
"mister Lucis, what are you doing here? Taking a bath?" said one of the middle age women. they smile while sizing up Lucis bare body tense standing near the river.
"excuse me!" Lucis shout and ran down the river further away from where the women's washing clothes. At this point, some dirty oily start pouring out from his pore.
He didn't waste any time and quickly jump in the river and stay inside.
"oh my, is he actually catching a fish?"
"maybe he's taking a dump haha" the women's gossiping as usual
"the effect is stronger than I thought, isn't this the basic of very basic alchemy? The aprantice alchemy in the clan previously make this for sell in the city too." this type of potions is something that student of alchemy make until they gain more stable control of fire and alchemy before advancing to a more complicated recipe. This is also one of the clan Income since this is useful for mortal that doesn't cultivate their body.
It's almost 30 minutes before the effect ended and his body cooling down.
He slowly making his way to the shore back and catch some breath. Close to one hour is the limit he can stay under water with his current strength.
When he look at his body he greatly surprised. All the scar that still in the process of recovery completely disappeared. His skin is more white than before and look fairy and soft. It's safe to say he have the most beautiful skin in the whole village at this moment. Better than Luna that have the city girl aura.
Now he really did look like immortal. He only need better clothes to complete the set. he really wish too.
After examining further and satisfied with the result, he make his way back to the path and back to the village.
Quickly he got all the women on the riverbank attention on him.
"what's going on, he look different than before?"
"I just realized, look at his skin. It look far more beautiful than the merchant daughter."
"oh my, my daughter gonna cry if she saw this. Look at that body."
"I tell you, he's noble for sure."
And that's how the rest of the day the gossip between them going on. Lucis appearance shirtless making most of them blushes and printing that image in their head.
Lucis slowly making his way back to his house feeling satisfied and stop once in a while appreciating his body.
"Hm? Did I forgot to close the door?" he look at his wide open door but there's no one around outside.
As soon as he step in he quickly greeted by Dini.
"Lucis, I brought you lunch.. " she quickly frozed looking at Lucis. Admiring his bare body.
"oh Dini. Thank you." Lucis casually reach the bowl. He's used to Dini looking at him shirtless.
"I.. I.. I'll come back later." she cover her face reddened embarrassment when she realized she's staring at his body.
"wait Dini. I have something for you." Lucis grab her wrist. This girl always ran so fast if he didn't do that. Sometimes he even wonder if she's secretly a cultivator.
"here, this is good for you health." he hand over the potion in the wooden cup.
"thank.. thank you." she accept the cup while looking down but the corner of her eyes glaring at Lucis body.
Without thinking much, she quickly drink the potion and put the cup away before Lucis managed to stop her.
"Erm.. Listen here.." Lucis tightens his grip on her wrist and shake his head.
'why she did everything so fast?' Lucis lost for a words to say to Dini.
"ehem, remember. This medicine is strong. When you get back, quickly take a bath or shower because there's gonna be a lot black stuff coming out from your body."
Dini face paled when she heard that. What kind of medicine doing that?
"it's not something bad, actually it's something good. When the black stuff start coming off of your body, just wash it off.." he released her hand and nod in satisfaction. Even though he's bad with words. At least he explained the important part.
"will I be okay?" Dini start feeling hot in her chest. She's pale and frightened.
"nothing bad gonna happen to you. Remember, just to take a bath. This is good stuff." he rub Dini head. "now go."
Dini feeling hesitate as she walk out. The heat start getting stronger inside her.
