Zara Pov.

As I started to wake up I looked around and realized that we’re in the Descendents’ lair in rome. As i noticed this i looked up and saw that everyone was in chains, i tried to break free from them but it wouldn’t work at all. It’s like someone took my strength away. What’s happening? I turned to see Thomas waking up as well but there’s something off. As I looked around I couldn't find Ruby. Where is she? I start to panic looking around for her. I stop looking at a figure hanging from the ceiling with a mouth guard on her. Why do they have that on her? What did she do? My panic started to rise again as Thomas was too weak to calm me down.

“What’s going on?” I turned my head and saw Dante waking trying to do what I was trying to do 3 minutes ago.
