16 Chapter 16 - Aftermath & Controversy

Last night was destined to be a sleepless one for citizens of Tokyo and Japan alike. A team of heroes containing 4 of Japan's top heroes was defeated in the hands of an unknown vigilante.

News stations, forums, blogs, chat groups, talk shows, and social media were going crazy over the incident that happened the night before.

Some people were scared, others were happy, but the mass majority didn't know how to feel about this masked vigilante whom All Might was unable to stop.

[News Anchor 1: "After last night's joint operation with the Tokyo Police Department, where heroes and police were supposed to bust an underground human trafficking ring, things ended differently than anyone would have imagined. 'Killshot', the vigilante who has been killing the villains of Tokyo for the better part of the year, met with the five heroes after decimating the underground human trafficking ring before the authorities and heroes could arrive.

Deciding to bring Killshot to justice, the five heroes fought ending in defeat at the hands of Killshot. But that was after the fact Killshot revealed to the world that it wasn't just villains that he had been killing, but corrupted heroes as well. The authorities had nothing to say about this but a preliminary screening by us of the names shown by Killshot, resulted in everything appearing to be true."

Reporter 2: "In other news, All Might has decided to pay the hospital bills of all that were injured during last night's bout. Eraserhead suffered the most damage with a broken leg, a broken arm, a fractured skull, a concussion, and fractures on his ribs. Mirko the Rabbit Hero suffered a shattered ankle, 10 broken ribs, and some contusions around her body. Best Jeanist suffered some hairline fractures and a concussion. Endeavor walked out of the hospital with his pride broken and All Might, surprisingly, had some of his knuckles fractured. The best healers around the country were invited by All Might and the hurt heroes are expected to make a full recovery in a couple of weeks,"]

[Talk Show Guest 1: "He is a menace! He should turn himself in and put to trial! He could be a dangerous lunatic! Now it's corrupted heroes and villains, it could be innocents and your everyday heroes tomorrow!"

Guest 2: "You don't know what you're talking about! Crime around Tokyo has been at an all-time low! The criminals and villains are scared out of their minds! It's impossible to think that it would be attributed to All Might like it was reported by the news agencies!"]

[Random Person #1: "If a person kills a murderer, the number of murderers in the world stays the same. It's as simple as that, he's no hero, he's no different than a villain!"

Random Person #2: "Ha! If one person kills a thousand murderers, there are 999 fewer murderers in the world! Your logic only applies to only one!"

Random Person #3: "There's an old saying, 'Kill one man, and you are a murderer. Kill millions of men, and you are a conqueror. Kill them all, and you are a god.'"

The conversations in chat rooms and comments under the video of last night were at an all-time high.

In the following days, Killshot was trending all over Japan. People speculated on his identity, what his Quirk was, why he was a vigilante. There were some that wall already making fanfics of him. Killshot had become the biggest controversy in recent years.

It was later reported to the public that some heroes were arrested trying to flee the city after Killshot's announcement and were pending full-blown investigations and some were even pending trials. the villains and criminals that didn't or couldn't leave went deep trying to hide from Killshot and stay off his radar.

In the coming weeks, Killshot's name became infamous across Tokyo, crime had fallen so low, criminals didn't even dare to breathe wrong just in case that cause them to sign their death certificates.

...Two weeks after Killshot's public appearance…

"I'm going to die! Fuck! I definitely going to die!" Hollered Tara as she ran through the forest dodging lasers that seemed to come out from the trees themselves.

"Fuck!" she exclaimed as she did a backflip to prevent her from almost getting an ear burned off for the 15th time today.

"Focus! Your senses are 100 times better than any regular hero or villain! I'm going to squeeze all that latent potential… so much power wasted over the years," Styxx's lamented voice came from behind Tara.

She turned around to see half of Styxx melded with a tree.

"Your past is unfortunate, yes, and time was wasted but years of captivity doing anything to protect your little sisters gave you something special… mental strength, an unbreakable will to endure through any pain and suffering,"

What Styxx said was true, in the past two weeks of torturous training Tara had lost limbs with nothing but a whimper after the first day. Something that someone her age shouldn't be able to do unless they were put through years of torture.

"Come on, it's time for lunch," Styxx said as he completely separated himself from the tree.

His cold and mechanical demeanor evaporating into the wind. Tara slowly followed as her limbs trembled from exhaustion.

For these past two weeks, the schedules of these girls included a morning of intense training and after lunch, academic studies. Alpha was in charge of training Fenrir, her training consisted of following Alpha and training her Quirk. Regular wolfs can run up to 20 kilometers a day, now imagine what a genetically modified wolf could do. Let's just say, by the time Fenrir came back for lunch, her whole body was cramping up. Fenrir's sense of smell, hearing, and stamina were slowly reaching monstrous levels due to her training with Alpha.

Bastet's Quirk enhanced her senses and body, only her sight dwarfed her sisters' senses as she was able to see in the dark, it gave her superhuman dexterity and unbelievable reflexes that would put any gymnast to shame. The bear twins were in charge of her physical training while Charlie trained her dexterity and reflexes by having her dodge his flying and unpredictable attacks while being blindfolded.

Tara's training was a lot harder and more intense than her little sisters, Styxx was in charge of her. The full potential of her quirk was slowly being unlocked, not to mention the years of physical training she had to make up while being in captivity. In the last two weeks, Tara had undergone the biggest changes, she had put on weight and her body was lean yet packed with muscle, it now looked like a healthy young woman any her age should look.

This was all due to Styxx's training. Broken bones, severed limbs, burns, cuts, bruises, or anything that happened was fixed and healed by Styxx. Her high metabolism and sturdy body, on top of all the heals and meals Styxx prepared, slowly turned her from the weak, malnourished, and dehydrated bunny to a powerhouse among her age group. It is without being said, this wouldn't be possible without her unbreakable will and desire to be stronger to protect her newfound life with her sisters.

He even used specialized cream he modified himself from an all villain that used the original to give people cancer, Styxx's cream now promotes and enhances muscle growth and recovery on the girls' bodies. Their cramped bodies would be good as new in the morning, stronger than ever, weeks of painful recovery shortened to just mere hours while they slept.

Their change wouldn't have been possible in such a short time if they didn't have the will to continue with this sort of evil and intense training.
