Su Yin also has a terrifying past. She was sold to a slave trader by her own parents but was saved by Grandpa Mu. After that she lived with Grandpa Mu but he was mostly not at home so she was handed to Su Ryu. After that both of them lived together.

Since neither of them had parents both of them hit together very nice. And later they became brother and sister. As Grandpa Mu was close to both of them so they look up to him like a grandfather like figure.
