25 Chunin Exams Start.

It was a usual day for Sato and Haku.

They were once again on their way to meet with Naruto for his training. Once again Sato dreading the plague known as fangirls, hurried his nii-san along the way. Haku was smiling and didn't mind much and eventually they met with Naruto.

When they met this time however, Naruto had big news for the Yuki brothers. His sensei, Hatake Kakashi, nominated their team for the Chunin Exams.

Haku was stunned by the news while Sato had a stoic look on his face. They both took to training Naruto and knew where his abilities lie.

Naruto's training had prove fruitful, his taijutsu was coming along well and even rising above genin level in the short amount of time he was training with the Yuki brothers. It was by no means close to chunin level but it should be able to hold up against high level genin.

Sato just hoped that Naruto wouldn't be hot-headed enough to fight someone like Lee the taijutsu specialist.

During the training he also told Naruto about his 'Kage Bunshin'. Explaining how it was able to transfer it's knowledge along with the chakra it had remaining back to the original. This was a way for Naruto to speed up his training regarding shinobi knowledge and tactics.

Naruto was told that he could use the clones to speed up his learning with jutsu and tactics but that the clones would not be able to help with the physical aspect of his training.

This meant that the original Naruto would have to physically train his body to improve his physical attributes. Agility, strength and stamina, these where the attributes Naruto needed to work on. His stamina is his strong point but that did not mean it could not be improved upon.

Sato, sadistically and systematically tortured the poor genin with exercises that would make Guy and Lee cry with joy recognizing a kindred soul among them for the passion of training taijutsu.

That thought had given Sato a cold shiver up his spine, he had imagined both Guy and Lee embracing him with a hug and the abominable sunset in the background with both members shouting "YOUTH!!!" along with him.

Sato trained Naruto while his clones were with Haku reading up on books and helping him with his tactical knowledge.

He had Naruto's body endure the harsh punishing exercise routine to develop his strength and speed. The boy had stamina and Sato made full use of it. Training for long hours even after his team training with Kakashi.

They worked on his taijutsu incorporating technique with his brutish attacks. This was optimal as a shinobi for the one fact that it was unpredictable. No other shinobi would be able to predict what Naruto's next action would be and could not intercept it.

Working on his speed and strength would balance out the weakness for this style as the only way that it would be countered would be to react faster than the attack.

Even with the new style implemented in his taijutsu, Naruto would be countered by most chunin and above shinobi. This was why after making this style along with Naruto, Sato had stressed the need for Naruto to improve on his base attributes.

Haku also trained Naruto in tactics and had gotten Fukushima to purchase 'Chakra Paper' for Naruto to test his chakra affinity. They noticed that Naruto did not even know of Nature Manipulation and Shape Transformation.

Haku took it upon himself to provide the knowledge to Naruto so that he would at least have some attack in his repertoire. He couldn't believe Kakashi would not teach them anything at all. His respect for the jonin plummeted and vowed to hurt him where the light don't shine for being so foolish.

After explaining what chakra paper was to Naruto and had him pour his chakra into it, they discovered Naruto's affinity which was Wind.

Haku then brought two jutsu from the library Fukushima allowed him to take for Naruto and taught the boy how to perform them. Naruto was not a prodigy and was only a hard working shinobi so mastering the jutsu took him some time.

With the cheat effect of the 'Kage Bunshin' Naruto was able to speed up the learning process of the two jutsu and was now in the final stages of mastering them.

( Present Time )

Sato reflected on all the training they did with Naruto while closing his eyes.

"It's time" thought Sato.

Then he looked at the spunky blond haired genin in front of him and smiled. He prepared him the best he could with what little time he had and could only hope that it was enough for him to survive.

Sato came out of his musings and smiled at Naruto.

"So you're finally going to take the exams huh?" questioned Sato.

"Yup, I'm finally going to be one step close to becoming Hokage, dattebayo!!" exclaimed Naruto with a shit eating grin on his face.

Haku was brought out his thoughts with that exclamation and looked at Naruto with a concerned smile.

"Naruto, promise me you will come back. Promise me you won't die!" spoke Haku.

Naruto looked stunned. He did not know what to think.

Sato looked towards his nii-san and spoke, "Don't worry nii-san, we've trained him the best we could. I've no doubt Naruto will survive, or do you not trust your own training?"

Haku looked to his otouto and his concern was replaced by a small smile.

"Of course, I don't doubt my training. It's just that...." Haku trailed off.

He was stopped when he felt something crashed into his stomach. Looking towards what it was he found that it was Naruto hugging him.

"Don't worry," spoke Naruto. "I won't die, not until i've become Hokage. I promise."

Both Sato and Haku smiled at Naruto. Then Sato spoke up "Well let's go to Ichiraku to celebrate then."

While on the way they met a strange box that was supposed to be camouflage as a bolder. The group noticed it immediately but brushed it off.

After a while however Naruto couldn't resist and lashed out at the terrible disguise.

"OK come on out!!" shouted Naruto.

Then with a puff of smoke that cleared, three mid-size shadows hop out and struck a pose.

"Hahaha, as expected of boss" exclaimed the first one in the middle of the group.

"Konohamaru?" questioned Naruto.

Then the group introduced themselves to Sato and Haku who looked on with amusement and was chuckling at Naruto for being the boss of some kids.

Sakura, at this time was walking around the village and came across this scene and bumped into the group.

Then Konohamaru asked Naruto to play 'Ninja' and Sakura laughed at them saying how shinobi don't play 'Ninja'.

Konohamaru then shouted, "Boss is this your, you know.... that" while wiggling his little finger to Naruto.

Sakura turned angry at that with a small pink on her face from anger.

Naruto quickly put his hands in front of him and shaked it to deny the accusation and to explain that she was only a teammate. This however then lead to Konohamaru reacting saying,

"Yes that's right, she can't be your girlfriend. I mean she is ugly and has a big forehead and she is also flat as a board."

Then Naruto creakily turned towards Sakura sensing a demonic energy and the scorn that women would use to unleash their wrath on men who angered them. After noticing the incoming doom he turned back to Konohamaru and shouted at them.

"RUN!!!!" screamed Naruto as the group started running from a very violent Sakura.

Sato recognized this scene and went after them albeit at a calm and steady pace. Then he heard someone bump into someone else around the corner and quickly made his way over.

When he came upon the group he saw Konohamaru was being held by someone in a black one-suit that had cat like ears on his head and covered his body. On his face was war paint. This person was Sabaku no Kankuro.

The other person was a blond female who had her hair in four pigtails, her eyes were a teal color and wore a light purple-colour garment that extended to halfway down her thighs, with a scarlet sash tied around her waist. She had a giant war fan strapped to her back and her hitai-ate was worn around her neck. This person was Sabaku no Temari.

Naruto was shouting at the siblings and just when Kakuro was to punch Konohamaru, a rock was thrown and hit Kankuro in the same hand he was using to punch the kid.

Everyone's focus was drawn to where the rock was thrown from and they all saw someone in the trees lying down and bouncing a rock in his hands.

"What do you think you're doing in someone else's village, you... Get Lost" spoke Sasuke.

"Sasuke-kun!" shouted Sakura.

"He's pretty cute" thought Temari with a faint blush on her cheeks.

Naruto on the other hand just hand an annoyed fish eyed look on his face.

"Tch, another brat here to ruin my fun." spoke Kankuro.

"Kankuro, stop it." spoke a voice from behind Sasuke making the former shocked that someone was able to get behind him without so much of as a warning.

Sasuke then proceeded to jump back and onto the street next to Sakura and Naruto.

"G G G Gaara!!!" breathe out Kankuro. He stiffened and spoke out in pure fear as if just saying his name would kill him.

Temari also stiffened and was fear stricken unable to form a sentence herself.

"You're an embarrassment to our village." continued Gaara.

Then Gaara disappeared in a shunshin and appeared behind both Temari and Kankuro.

"Let's go." spoke Gaara.

"Wait. What's your name?" asked Sasuke.

"Sabaku no Gaara. I'm also interested in you" answered Gaara.

"Uchiha Sasuke." said Sasuke.

Then the sand siblings turned and walked away.

Sasuke was getting excited for the Chunin Exams. It seems that strong opponents awaited him there.

Meanwhile Naruto was frowning at being ignored and was silently fuming that Sasuke was in the spotlight again.

Sato noticing this appeared at Naruto's side and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry about it, you will have your chance at the exams to show just how strong you are." spoke Sato.

Both turned and walk away with Konohamaru and the others.

Sasuke turned back and noticed Sato walking away with Naruto and Haku. He clenched his hands into a fist and stared at Sato's retreating figure.

"I hope I get to fight you too" thought Sasuke staring at Sato's back.

Then Sasuke turned away and walked away from the others, this being Sakura who once again asked Sasuke for a date only to be rejected once more.

Naruto, Haku and Sato accompanied the kids back to their homes then went towards their own. Before they left however Naruto asked if the Yuki brothers were going to participate in the exams.

"Naruto, I'm already chunin level and now with my clan here, there's no need for me to participate." spoke Haku.

It was rational, Haku was tutored by Zabuza himself and when they fought on the bridge Kakashi had told them afterwards that Haku was probably a chunin level shinobi. Now with all the training that he was doing, he most likely was above the average chunin.

"Well you've seen my power. Is there even a need for me to participate in the chunin exams?" questioned Sato.

Naruto could only nod dumbly at that statement. If Sato had participated then most likely no one would be able to make chunin if they went up against him.

After a few more words they parted ways and headed to their home. Sato and Haku came to their compound and Haku was showing signs of worry.

"That Gaara, he seems unusual. I'm worried for Naruto." said Haku speaking his thoughts to his otouto.

"There's no need to worry, Naruto is strong and even if he were to go up against Gaara he would put up a decent fight." assured Sato.

Haku nodded his head to that. If it was one thing Naruto was good at it would be extending a fight long enough to find an opening with his opponent.

With that both boys went to their rooms before freshening up for dinner with their mother. After they both went to bed to rest for tomorrow and their training.

When morning came, Naruto got ready and was making his way towards the academy for the exams.

He arrived and found both Sasuke and Sakura waiting for him at the entrance. He looked at Sakura and then towards Sasuke and smirked at him.

He was finally going to show them, no he was finally going to show everyone just what he was capable of. The training he did with the Yuki brothers and what he gained from it was all going to help him prove himself to the village.

Sasuke noticed the smirk Naruto had on his face but he brushed it off as Naruto being the 'Dobe' like he always was. He then proceeding into the building and started heading for the exams with Sakura following him.

Naruto also made his way towards them and went along as a group to the exams.

Finally the Chunin Exams were to begin.

Sato had to prepare for what's to come.
