Chapter 1 - Accidental Death
It was a hot summer day where the heat was unbearable. Nobody was out on the streets as it was scorching enough to fry an egg on the road. In an old rundown apartment building where there were quite a few cracks on the walls that seems as though the walls might crumble at any moment there were three rooms on two floors. The stairs to the second floor made noise resembling creaking and rocking of an old metal ship that's been decommissioned from duty.
In one of the three rooms at the top of the stairs and further down the dark and unkempt hallways a loud noise could be heard. The wooden door that leads to the opening of the room we could see scratch marks on the door and the door was bent in a weird angle but was still firmly locked.
Sitting in this room at his computer was a forty year old man. His hair was receding to the point that only a few strands was flowing down the front of his forehead. His face was small and circular, his cheeks were full and still had some baby fat to them. His mouth and nose were regular and overall his face was not bad, in fact some might call him handsome if it weren't for his receding hairline.
This person's name was Vinny Gildan. Vinny sat at his computer and was playing an mmorpg, one where you had to team up with others to compete in a player vs. player type of combat and win against the enemy team.
His teammates weren't doing as he commanded and he was getting irritated at them for not following his commands which ultimately caused them the match.
In his fit of rage he threw his mouse and the keyboard at the wall and not within his expectations his body jerked and cause the computer chair that he was sitting on to fall backwards with him hitting his head on the floor. Groaning because of the pain he felt on the back of his head he grabbed his head and rubbed it to sooth the pain.
"Ouch that really hurt" said vinny still rubbing his head then he heard in his ear laughing and recalled that he was still in game chat.
"Hahahaha!! hey vinny calm down man it's only a video game" said Tom one of vinny's friend who was younger than him.
Tom was a young teenager of only 17 years and his skill in the game brought vinny to call him his teammate.
"Yeah vinny don't worry we will get them in the next match" said Matt, vinny's other teammate and one of the best healers vinny knows of.
Matt was a tech genius and knew more about the games and forums than vinny does himself.
Vinny not caring about his teammate's comments proceeds to pick himself up and then moved towards his chair and picked it up as well. While he was doing so he looked towards his computer which was now playing an episode of "Naruto Shippuden" which he recently downloaded and was planning to watch after a few matches with Tom and Matt.
"What the...." said vinny when he saw the episode playing on screen then he realizes that the reason it was playing was because he threw his mouse and keyboard and upon hitting the wall the mouse moved to the folder he saved the episode of naruto and clicked on it opening the video and playing it.
He decides to get his mouse and keyboard in order to close the video player and get back in the game so his teammates would try to win the next match. While placing the mouse back on his desk Vinny accidentally knocks over his bottle filled with water onto his CPU and the water flow to the power cable connected to the outlet and triggered an eclectic explosion that electrocutes him.
Oblivious to what just happened both Tom and Matt saw Vinny's ID in game go offline and assumed he "rage quit" so they decide to call it a day as well and log off as well.
A few minutes later in the room Vinny's body was laying motionless, evidently Vinny died and his computer was not working anymore with smoke flying into the air from both the CPU and the electric outlet. Vinny, now in a space of pure whiteness and unable to move or speak can only hear his thoughts as he thought to himself " What just happened?".
Right after he asks himself this question he hears another voice sounding beside his ear."My child I will explain what happened to you and what will happen afterwards". Vinny became bewildered because other than pure whiteness in the surroundings he could not see anyone else.
Stunned by what he just heard Vinny was trying to find the source of the voice when he noticed smoke rising from the ground in front of him and a shadow silhouette becoming visible and getting closer towards him. When the figure was only 30 feet away Vinny thought he would be able to make out what the figure looked like but to his surprise he couldn't make it out at all. A few seconds later he heard the figure saying "I am the God that presides over this realm and witnessed the accident that befall you that ultimately lead to your death".
"So I am dead?" asked Vinny to the "God" that he was in the presence of.
"Correct!, you accidentally knocked over your bottle of water which caused an electric explosion which killed you" replied God.
"Then what now!? Aren't I supposed to face judgement and be shown the way to heaven or to..." said Vinny.
He did not finished his sentence because when he thought of the place he was about to mention he quickly swallowed his words and look fearfully at God.
"You can face your judgement and then be escorted to heaven or hell but since your death was accidental I will give you another choice!" said God. "The other choice available is reincarnation into another world!".
Hearing this Vinny once again became stunned.
"Reincarnation!! isn't this the dream of everyone who watches anime?, Why would I not want to reincarnate? my previous life was boring and I always wondered how cool it would be to live in the world of ninjas or becoming a super saiyan like Goku" thought Vinny.
