1 Prologue

One. One creature sits in the darkness, staring out into the distance like man hoping to catch a glimpse of its future. The creature seems frozen in time. Dead, yet filled to the brim with life. In its eyes, a look, one filled with the frosty glares of the void, the other filled with blazing emotion straight from the sun.

Though physically it is frozen in time, mentally it is of sound mind. The whirring of its Spiritual Sea in motion is its only defining feature. "Test," the creature thinks, slowly gaining the cognition that had eluded it in the short eternity spent in this God-forgotten place. "W-why test?" it wonders, still not fully understanding the situation that it is in. "Wait," it feels as it drowns in the world's aura. "LIVE!" it knows, the word carrying through each of its cells, constantly growing in might, building towards a crescent.

And then it realises, it remembers the truth. "Why?" its first thought that has culminated into its birth, or is it rebirth. The strength of its will fighting against a pressure that is all-embracing. As it feels this pressure trying to snuff its Life Force out, the creature gathers its will together. It makes the choice to not give in to the pressure.  "Test," it thinks again, "th.. this is test."

The creature once again cultivates a deeper understanding of itself and the situation that it seems to have found itself in, it slowly builds up its strength of will as it feels the pressure ever increasing, squeezing it away from its home.

Our brave creature tries to wiggle and squirm against the pressure knowing that this is a time of utmost importance and that the only way for it to live is to fight; fight against a power so mighty, that anyone living in the world of mortals would die simply by thinking of it. But our creature is not a lowly mortal, it is a dragon among dragons, which is why it is named: "Bumie Long" (不灭龙).

With its name, comes memories. Bumie Long remembers the world of the living, Soul Cultivation. It remembers the feeling of Soul Essence flowing through its meridians, building up in its Soul Core. With these memories comes a  feeling: the feeling of a Core filled to the brim before a cultivation breakthrough.

Long realises that right now, he can fight for his life and obtain the treasure hidden in this land with a big chance of dying. Or he can leave, leave for the world filled with beings that are inferior to him; from there he can start, start from the beginning and build his way up from being a Mortal in all aspects to become the utmost of existences in all of the heavenly realms. This decision will only be possible with hard work, dedication, self sacrifice and luck. This decision is an easy one.

Forming a number of incomprehensible Runes with his hands, Long rebuilds himself into a mortal, destroying his Soul Core, emptying out his Spirit Sea. The only thing untouched is his Heart of Life, to destroy that would be to kill him forever, and his dao.

With the completion of the last Rune, comes a terrifying experience. Long watches as the culmination of his life's cultivation utterly vanishes as it gets absorbed back into the realm.

At the same time, Long feels pressure that the Realm imposed on him, forcefully removing him to a lower plane. The Immortal Realm, his home. Long takes a look of longing towards his home as he realises that he is taking his last look at this realm before he is sent to the Mortal Realm. As if the Realm understands his thoughts, it prevents him from feeling a building pressure, but rather allows him the time to remember this view before immediately forcing him out of the Realm. His last thought before being kicked out: "How dare you kick me out of my home".
