Chapter 6 [It's Crunch Time!]

In a apartment inside the Asakusa, Tokyo area a girl with long curly silver hair and gold-colored eyes is currently working on the last part of her costume which was the skirt.

'Almost done... Just gotta finish the skirt...'

She started doing the pleats of the skirt with a quick but precise stiches.

"Ding!"

Her smartphone which was by the same table as before went off distracting her from her current activity.

"@Honoka How is the bew costume going along?"

It was Yuuki mentioning her username.

"@Yuuki It's just the skirt left then I'm done."

With the event only hours away she started to work on the skirt once again...

'There's only three more hours before I have to head to odaiba for the event... This feeling of excitement about this event is just the best...'

Honoka has just arrived at Odaiba-Kaihinkoen station wearing a white hoodie with the hood on her head, slim jeans, and white sneakers instead of the usal lolita dress that she'd wear whenever she went out along with a backpack on her back containing the already costume that she just finished before the winter style costume that she managed to finish efore she left her apartment giving her a whole week of free time until her editor contacts her.

There was a huge crowd of people around the Tokyo Big Sight indicating that there was a convention or event taking place there.

Some people were already wearing their costumes in the line, some were carrying cameras, and some were just people that just wanted to attend the event to buy doujinshi.

The cosplayers that are usually standing around the surrounding open area of the location haven't shown up yet because of the event only about to begin.

Honoka stood at the end of the long line which looked like it will never end...

She took a foldable fan out of her backpack in attempt to cool herself down.

'Being part snow woman sucks...'

Honoka let out a sigh still a few more feet away from the venue's entrance, the hot weather was greatly affecting her... Making her sweat more than the when she went to Harajuku that one time.

She almost collapses from the heat but then...

"Honoka!"

She heard a familiar voice that she recognized from behind her.

She turns to try to locate the source of the voice that she had just heard calling her name.

It was Yuuki that was calling her already wearing her costume.

Her appearance resembled a silver-haired, golden-eyed girl from a certain anime that had the idea of purgatory being a school from 2010.

"What's with that blank expression~?"

Yuuki had a cat like smile on her face seeing Honoka turn around.

"I-It's way too hot..."

She complained in a monotone voice whilst letting Yuuki cut in front of her.

"The summer season is really hard on you, huh?"

"No kidding..."

Still maintaining that same smile on her face Yuuki checked her smartphone.

She opened up the chat group app then checked up on the attending members of the chat if they've arrived yet.

The chat group's member's replies were:

Azuki: "@Yuuki I'm still three stations away."

Takuo: "@Yuuki I'm about to exit Odaiba Kaihinkoen now."

Along with thirteen others saying that they were still on the train just like Azuki.

Seeing these replies she sent "@Takuo Got it~"

'Only one of them has arrived so far besides the two of us...'

There was still four more hours before the meetup time and still a whole hour before the event begins, some of the people lined up were either talking to other people or just messing with their phones.

At this point of time some people already in costumes have started to show up around the area.

Honoka just holds on to her hood waiting patiently for the event venue to open...

"The event hall is now open! Please don't run or Push!"

The sound of a megaphone was heard from a few feet away was heard followed by so me of the people in line that were in front of the two starting to walk towards the venue's doorway.

There was now only just three more hours before their meetup near the full scale mech statue.

'Finally...'

Honoka thought still holding onto the hood of her hoodie in attempt to stop the sunlight from heating her face.

The restrooms were crowded when they finally got into the venue and Honoka had to wait for quite a while in a line again just to change into her costume.

Meanwhile Yuuki just waited for her near the entrance...

"Snap!"

The sound of Honoka took a selfie when she finally finished getting changed and posted it on her SNS account.

'This is the start of my 10k follower goal...'

She thought pressing "Post".

"Sorry, the line to the restrooms was long.."

Yuuki couldn't help but laugh at Honoka who apologised despite the restrooms were always crowded during events like this.

"Yeah, I know."

The time of the meetup has finally arrived and the two are now standing inside the mall behind the mech statue messing with the smartphones in their hands checking the chat group app for members that were looking for them.

Yuuki: "@Honoka and I are now at the mall behind the mech statue, where are you guys?"

Azuki: "@Yuuki I'm just about to enter the mall. Where are you two waiting?"

Honoka: "@Azuki We're infront of a famous 100 Yen store."

Aoba: "@Yuuki I'm still getting changed, But I'll head there once I finish."

Takuo: "@Yuuki Currently now on my way there while trying to get away from photographers."

Their conversation went on and on until Azuki, Aoba, and the other momebers finally got to the meetup place.

"Ok, now that everyone's here... We can finally hang around the event~"

Yuuki cheerfully declared pumping her fist in the air like a kid that just won a game against someone.

'I really hope that I won't get light headed again...'

Honoka said in her mind putting hrr backpack back on her back like before...
