Chapter 4 [The planning for the chat group IRL meetup has now begun]

Several mouse clicks could be heard inside a small apartment inside the Asakusa area...

The grey-haired girl named Honoka had already gotten some rest and wasn't feeling fatigued anymore was currently sitting on the floor browsing some online stores for her costume's materials.

The sound of her phone's ringtone gets her attention which made her let go of the mous to pick it up.

The notifications she just got were from the chat group app on her phone, the notification stated that there were around ten messages were sent to the said chat group.

She quickly unlocked her phone and tapped on the aforementioned notification and it opened the app.

Honoka saw Yuuki's name in the conversation who was currently online on the chat group and was talking to some people about the time and place for the meetup at the upcoming summer event.

"How about at the mall behind the full scale mech statue?"

A member with a anime girl as a profile picture suggested to meetup inside Odaiba-Kaihinkoen Station, which was arounf forty four minutes from Asakusa station/Honoka's area.

But two other people disagreed due to the fact that some might get lost inside.

Afterwards the person named "Azuki" suggested to meetup by the full scale mech that was in Shiokaze Park.

"You really love you're mechs, huh~?"

Yuuki jested at the mech model-loving member's suggestion.

"It's not like that! It's just easier to meetup there, that's all."

Azuki spoke back with a pouting emoji at the end of her message.

"It'll be too hot if the meetup was at that place..." Honoka replied, the other members had no idea that she was half snow woman felt a little bit confused as to why she had said this.

Yuuki seeing that Honoka who was actually paying attention to the chat added:

"For those who don't know Honoka is half snow woman, half oni so she can't just stand around outside due to her snow woman traits."

The other members sent replies as Yuuki's message got sent that said: "Oh cool!", "A oni-snow woman? that's rare..."

Along with one other member saying: "Let's do the meetup that's indoors then. Like... The mall behind that mech?"

"That'll do, as long as it's in shade... Thank you..." Honoka replied sounding like she was speaking in monotone along with the thought of how understanding and kind the members were.

"Ok, It's that place then. Now then, should we wait for all of us get changed into our costumes before? or Should we do it before then just meetup again afterwards?"

Yuuki broke up the meetup place part of the discussion with a quick reply and now starting the meetup time...

Meanwhile Honoka quickly averts her sight from her phone and back to her laptop's screen and begun to browse through online stores once again feeling a bit bored.

"They are chap but... My problem is the quality of the fabric..."

She murmured whilst scrolling down a online store.

Several replies from the members came in making both of their smartphones go off

after the members got the reply.

Fortunately though Honoka had already finished working on the draft of the lastest volume of her light novel and her editor gave a OK on it, and so her publisher gave her two whole weeks of free time before she needed to start writing once again.

The unfortunate thing about this is once two weeks have passed she'd barely have any free time to look for materials due to how long it takes to write a whole volume plus the deadline that she needs to catch up on.

Honoka was right about to check out the items that she had placed on her when suddenly...

Her phone started ringing because of a upcoming call interupting her online shopping.

She picked it up from the table and saw that it was her mother that was calling her.

She answered with a "hello?" as she pressed answer.

"Sorry to bother you dear but are you busy?

Do you have time to chat on the phone?"

Her mother's could be heard clearly from her phone's ear speaker.

Honoka was only browsing the net whilst chatting with people online said yes to her mother's inquiry.

THer mother asked about the things that any parent that had a child live in another place would ask about.

Honoka expecting her to ask about these things everytime she called answered honestly.

As their conversation continued on, Honoka clicked on the check out button on the online store from before finishing her order for the fabric with the "express delivery" option checked.

The only problem that she had was if she were to accidentally reveal that she cosplays to her parents or if they found out from somewhere...

Even if she was asked by her parents about it she'd just make something up to hide it.

Her call with her mother ended with the question regarding wether or not she had a boyfriend already, ofcourse this made Honoka feel a little bit awkward and just says goodbye along with "Something urgent just came up, I need to hang up." on the phone and hung up.

After which her phone went back to the home screen instead of the chat group app...

'Geez... Mom always asks about it... Does she want grand children that badly...? No, I don't have the time for that right now!'

She let out a sigh which made the redness of her face from the awkwardness and embarrassment of her parent's question.

She stretched her body right after she placed her smartphone back on the table in front of her, then proceeded to the kitchen area of her apartment to grab a bottle of red tea inside her fridge.

'Now all I have to do is wait for the fabrics to arrive...'

"ding!"

Her phone went off once again because of a notification from the chat group app.

A message on the "Announcements" section of the chat group had appeared...

"Meetup for the summer doujinshi event will be at the mall behind the full size mech at odaibe.

Days: All four Days

Meetup Time: 1PM

Note: If you're planning to cosplay and going to the meetup... Please get changed into your costume first before going to the meetup."

Is what was written by Yuuki in that section where only the moderators of the chat group could send messages- announcements on, they had also agreed to that meetup time whilst Honoka was busy talking to her mother on the phone.

Another "ding!" sound shortly followed after the first one had made Honoka's smartphone go off with Yuuki sending her a direct message on the same app.

"I was wondering... Do you have any SNS accounts?"
