1 Chapter 1 [The Girl That Only Has a Year of Cosplay Experience]

A female immortal around the age of 800 years old with long curly gray hair is currently in her bedroom scrolling around the web on her laptop with eye bags clearly visible on her face because of her staying up all night to finish a costume that she'll be wearing at a upcoming convention.

'There's a chat group for cosplayers?'

Her gold doll-like eyes widen as she clicks on the link that leads to the said chat group with a piece of potato chips in her mouth.

"This might help me improve at cosplaying if I join this..."

She mumured as the webpage finished loading up with the name "Immortal Cosplayers" written in a huge font on top of the page.

She immediately clicks on the "join chat group" button on the said page, a pop up showed up on the page after she did this.

The form had questions like "How long have you been cosplaying?", "How old are you?", and "How many characters have you cosplayed?" written on the pop up.

She quickly filled up the pop up's questions and pressed submit.

Within half an hour she got a notification saying that her join request had been accepted and message notifications started showing up on her laptop's screen with notification sounds coming both at the same time.

As soon as she went back to the chat room another pop up had showed up asking what username that she wanted to use...

She entered her real name which was "Honoka".

She started getting excited about this and immediatley started to type in her very first message on the "general" section of the said chat.

The said question goes as follows:

"Hi, I've been having problems with making some parts of a costume that I'm currently working on.

And the part that I'm talking about is the frills on the costume, any tips?"

After a few minutes of patiently waiting for a reply, a person with the username "Yuuki" sent a reply with her.

"Hello Honoka,

Which character are you cosplaying? (Just out of curiousity)"

Honoka immediatley went through some reference pictures on her laptop's pictures folder, she sent the picture of the said character that was saved in that folder that had a girl from a certail idol game/anime franchise that's wearing a gothic lolita dress with red eyes and grey curly styled into pigtails that made them look like they were drills to the person using the name "Yuuki" on the chat group.

'Lolita dresses are so hard... They have too many frills...'

'Ding!'

The sound of the notification sound went off again through the pair of headphones that she's currently wearing on her head.

"Since lolita dresses can get a little tricky at times, you should probably practice with making costumes that only have a few frills."

'Few frills, huh?'

She clicks on a folder in her pictures folder that has the name: "cosplay plans" on it.

She scrolled down until she saw a picture of a character that has ginger-colored hair with a said ponytail and blue eyes wearing a winter type outfit with a frilly skirt along with a pink necktie on the top just like what a ginger-haired character from another idol franchise wore on the second season of the said show along with the caption:

"Will this be simple enough as a start?"

"Yes, that should atleast make you get used to it."

She then continued their conversation with another question...

"You don't have to answer me if you don't want to but...

What kind of Immortal are you, Yuuki?"

A few minutes passed without any form of reply from the person in question as if she had logged out of the chat platform.

Yuuki responded after those few minutes, though she really looked hesitant to answer...

"I'm a half-angel, half-human."

Is what Honoka had read as a reply.

They continued talking about themselves for an hour or so via DMs...

Then Honoka had to leave the chat group because of the prep time that the said costume required.

Honoka now with her next costume decided starts searching around the internet for the fabric and accesories that she needed along with the boots, and the wig for the costume.

As she found the required boots the thought: "So expensive..." came to mind as she saw the price of the said items on a online store.

She's been born around the 11th century in a village somewhere in Osaka, Japan with both of her parents being immortals as well, her father was a Oni and her mother was a Snow Woman.

Despite being part Oni because of her father being one, she didn't grow horns which was what her parents thought seeing that she didn't have horns like her father.

But instead got the abilities of a Snow Woman and an Oni, though she decided not to use them and pretend to be a normal human instead.

She's been doing part time jobs ever since part time jobs had started being a thing and also been moving to another house every few years to prevent umours from spreading about her not being a human.

And before she turned the age of a hundred years old she was only a average person and not a rich one...

Despite this fact, she did cosplay as a hobby anyway.

'I wonder if Yuuki knows any alternative stores that I can buy these boots from...'

She decided to log back onto the chat group and started typing in her question as well as a "@Yuuki" on the said message so that the other people on the aforementioned groip chat wouldn't think that she was talking to them.

"Hi, It's me again...

Do you know a store that sells cheap costume or cosplay accessories?"

Text on the chat box indicated that she was typing showed up after she sent her question.

"Why? Did a part for the costume you wanted to make expensive?"

She was right on point as she had guessed what Honoka's question was about and this made Honoka smile because this just saved her sometime since she didn't have to do any explaining to her.

Honoka sent a nodding emoji to indicate that her guess was right.

"Which part is it?"

Yuuki wondered through her reply.

"It's the boots, the ones that I saw online were at 10k when I went searching a little bit ago."

"Oh, If it's the boots then you should be able to find similar looking ones at second hand shops or thrift stores. I recommend looking around the Harajuku district"

Honoka had no idea that she could get cosplay supplies from physical stores since she had only been getting them from online stores and not IRL stores.
