58 Powerful Cultivation

Yun stood strong and tall as she called into her soul sea. As she stood she released her aura yet again, this time engulfing nearly the entire one hundred meter cavern in a dense and oppressive heat. As the temperature of the space heated up a great deal of static began to arc across the room, appearing and disappearing in the air as if there was something there for a fleeting moment.

After mere moments two objects began to grown in the air beside her. The one on the right seemed to be forming itself out of fire, as wisps of flame seemed to flow into the unfinished ends of it as it extended in both directions, the other seemed to be formed of flowing lightning and had little arcs of lightning flow from the air around it to the unfinished ends. Both of them grew at a similarly astonishing rate, and within moments they were both nearly two meter long spears, close in form to her own, but with an arched blade on the back end that faced the opposite direction of the other.

Looking on, Elder Lei's eyes nearly bugged out of his head. This was not just a completed Argent Flame Spear, this was a modified version that she had to comprehend on her own in order to condense a spear of lightning! As he was marveling at this feat he noticed another skill activation.

At the tip of her spear was a small ball of energy, still barely noticeable, but it swiftly grew larger until it was the size of a small melon! As it grew she practiced her spear fighting techniques against her two Argent spears, parrying, thrusting as if they had a body holding them, and generally fighting a shadow battle.

Suddenly she swung down and, as the orb moved in front of the blade, struck the floor with the orb at maximum extension. The orb exploded into a sea of flames nearly three meters across and burned atop the stones for more than three minutes before dying down.

Yun had just displayed all six of the techniques she had taken with her into the cultivation chamber the first time, and each of these techniques had surpassed the requirements for Initial Mastery, and some were even close to Nascent Mastery!

Finally, Yun turned to her master and spoke.

"Master, this Yun has finally cultivated the six skills she acquired from the Sect this time. Additionally, she has successfully augmented one of them to suit her elemental affinities while advancing her own cultivation significantly."

"Tell me, Disciple, how far have you come?"

"Master, this Yun has reached the first stage of Body Tempering."

Elder Lei's little beard quivered again uncontrollably, "Astonishing, truly astonishing. You are an incredible talent. How stable were your advancements young Yun?"

"Replying to Master, this Yun had great success in the Neidan Forging and forged perfect layers in each of the remaining stages. This Yun has a Neidan in her virtual core that measures nearly twenty meters across."

"Tw. . . Twenty!?" Elder Lei was shocked, he was unable to control himself as he stood abruptly, nearly smashing the table with his palms as they smacked down upon it heavily.

Twenty meter Neidan at ten years of age. This was absolutely unheard of. Some incredible talents in the past had managed to continue to grow the final layer of their Neidan after breaking through to Body Tempering and had finally achieved thirty meter Neidans before Qi Imbuing, where they would develop the Neidan into a true seed within their inner world, but this child had started with a twenty meter Neidan and would continue to grow!

Most genius cultivators among the races of the Lynhär would be lucky to achieve a 10 meter Neidan by the time they broke into Body Tempering. As they progressed through further realms of cultivation towards Qi Imbuing the energy within their core world would layer itself on top of the Neidan like earth due to the gravity of the highly compressed Qi that formed the Neidan. Most of these geniuses might achieve a twenty meter Neidan before Qi Forging. But starting with it was an entirely different matter. Starting with a Neidan that was twice the diameter meant an incredible increase in total mass and gravity, it wasn't simply a case of doubling. Twice the diameter meant multiple times the mass and gravity!

Elder Lei walked towards Yun with measured and careful steps, trying hard not to fall over fro the shock as he approached her.

"Yun'er, this old man would like permission to examine your Neidan with his spiritual energy."

Yun was taken aback a little bit, but finally consented to the examination. Elder Lei placed his palm just above her navel and carefully inserted his spiritual energy to her meridian core, the home of the Neidan.

As he examined her Neidan carefully his beard quivered unceasingly. His heart rate climbed and pounded in his ears.

"In all these years. . . You're. . . Ahem..."

Elder Lei cleared his throat and tried to calm himself somewhat. He turned around and walked back towards his chair with a thoughtful posture, quietly musing to himself, "Could she be. . . ?"

After returning to his chair thoughtfully Elder Lei motioned Yun to sit.

"Young Disciple, you truly are a talent. This old man would like to test your strength, would you allow me this?"

Yun thought for mere moments before responding, "Yes Master, whatever test you desire."

At this response a smile lit up Elder Lei's face, followed by a flash of fiendish grin.
