105 Golden Flame Lynmurku

Yun was now facing off against her last foe, the domineering beast with the red color laced throughout it's fur was eyeing her with an intelligence that was rarely seen in beasts in this world.

The tension in the air was almost a physical being, like a dragon roaring about, as they faced off against each other without moving. Moment by moment they glared at the other, and the temperature around them began to rise as the wind began to move and create eddies. Static began to crackle in the air around them, Yun's Dragon Aura activated of it's own accord and synchronized with the aura of this mutated beast.

As a large bolt of Lightning energy raced across the space between them they both moved as if it was a trigger. They clashed rapidly as Yun swatted the paw strikes away with her full efforts and the Lynmurku growled and tried to use every part of it's body to take her off balance.

After one extra powerful swipe, Yun redirected the force instead of stopping it, causing the beast to over-extend and turn it's body. She rushed forth the two steps she needed to take to attack it but as she was preparing to swing her spear she realized that the shoulder she was standing near was approaching her! The Lynmurku had lunged forward in spite of it's paw's momentum and smashed it's shoulder into her chest, sending her rolling back over a dozen meters before she got her feet to stay under her and slid to a stop.

Phew!

Yun was astonished at the battle techniques of this beast. It was obvious it had fought against bipeds before and knew that it could even use it's torso as a blunt instrument. No wild animal would fight like that naturally. She grew even more cautious of this creature and it's battle consciousness than before.

Charging back in, Yun feinted a stab at the beast's neck using her momentum, but as it swatted at her spear she flicked her wrist and instead twirled her spear around it's paw and slashed downwards at it's neck!

Screeeeeeee!!!!

As her incredibly powerful spear blade collided with the fur of this beast it let out an ear piercing screeching noise while sparks flew off the blade, leaving nothing but a minor charred look to the fur it had slid across!

Goodness! What was this beast made of?

Yun began to fight more passively, parrying attacks constantly with as little energy as she could manage while she thought about what to do. She had very few items in her storage that could be potentially helpful here, as she was fairly sure she would require something blunt to bludgeon it with. If she could use enough physical force she might be able to disorient the beast and strike a vital with something sharper.

As the fight dragged on Yun knew she couldn't keep going like this for long. This would quickly lead to her loss as she was already worn down when this battle began. Quickly looking around herself the instant she parried a strike she spotted something that might be able to help. She used the force of the next strike to send herself flying towards her objective, and as she neared it she sliced out three times with her spear, severing a branch off a tree that was fairly thick at one end, but quickly lost all of it's density and became exceptionally thin comparatively.

At the one end the club was even wider than her head, and at the other it was just wide enough for her to grip securely. She slashed a few more times with her spear and shaved off sections of the club, shaping it geometrically into an octagonal existence.

Stowing her spear quickly, Yun hefted the club that was more than half her height as she charged the wolf beast again. This time, instead of redirecting the paw that was swiped at her, she turned towards it and swung at her strongest, sending it's paw careening back and costing it some balance. While the beast struggled to regain balance, Yun swing again using her circular momentum towards the beast's jaw line.

With a resounding smack the club collided with it's jaw and snapped it's head to the side hard. The brute growled as it glared back at her again, lowering it's body to get a more stable footing and open up more options for attack. Yun stood in front of it with the club on her shoulder, ready to swing at any time, but waited first for the enemy to make a move. It had shown more than enough awareness in combat for her to worry that it would use it's powerful jaws to catch her club while it's dangerous claws raked across her torso.

For minutes they stared at each other yet again, both standing at the edge of the other's reach. However, something began to happen that left Yun startled. The red streaks throughout the fur on the mutated Lynmurku began to shine with a strange radiance, shimmering across it's body in a mesmerizing pattern. As she watched cautiously she felt a very comfortable feeling welling up inside her chest that she desperately tried to suppress with worry.

What is this?

Yun stood her ground, knowing if she took even half a step back she would show weakness and get pounced on.
