1 Garsam Brandli

The World of Magim was a very prosperous world and a rare find in this universe, here was a place that although wasn't peaceful, was a world where Human race coexists with other races that after countless years of invasion and conquests and wars, the races dicided to share a world for mutual benefits, sometimes warring against each other, sometimes forming a alliance when another race gets too strong, so that no race could be called the most powerful one.

It was commom knowlodge that each reace have a original world of their own and that other worlds existed but the only ones that could travel through the universe and conquer these worlds were strong mages and powerful creatures, and for one to be a mage he had to be born with a elemental affinity or what is called, talent.

The training to become a mage is achieve through absorving the elemental energies found everywhere in a world and then making them their own, thus achieving power, greatness, wealth, and even eternal life, but only about 0,1% of the human population have the luck to be born with the talent, but this may increase for a child born from mages themselves.

Across the mage community, there are the existences of many Guilds, Clans, Institutions, and the likes, in the hope of nurturing a strong mage that will then one day increase their influence and so bringing many benefits and resources and even the opportunity to conquer other worlds and maybe, just maybe give birth to the dream of all mages that exists only in legends the Immortal, so every born talented are at a young age recruited to these places.

In the capital of the Kingdom Raizor, in the beggining of the morning, a mansion on the rich part of the city started to celebrate the birth of the clan leader grandson.

in a luxurious and spacious room a woman with a beaultiful but pale face and red hair, after a difficult night of labor, was staring a newborn baby at her side, and a man with his black hair and red eyes that although couldn't be called handsome but with his well build body gave a manly feeling, was giving a loving look to both of them and said to her "My father alredy named him, his name is Garsam Brandli."

"Humpf... what a ugly name." reponded the woman cleary annoyed that she wasn't the one to name her own son, but at the same time amused that the clan leader of the Brandli Family, a rich and influencial family altought not nobles, could have should bad sense of naming just like the name of her husband Garrialiam Brandli, she even wondered where he came with these suggestions from.

"Father may not know how to name but Garsam was the best of the lot... you don't want to hear to other options" responded Garrialiam, or how his wife called him Gar.

Garsom's mother was called Beth Adel the daughter of an earl, that in the beggining hated Gar, because they married for benefits since her family wasn't doing very well with finances since the last war against the Kingdom of Bluefield, but was conquered by his loving and cheerful personality.

They spend the night talking, with Beth cleary tired but when she remmebered what followed the discussion right after Garsam was born she couldn't fall asleep, feeling depressed again.

"There is nothing we can do..." said Gar realizing that his wife sad face, but at the same time looking at his son with a complicated look.

The Brandli family may be a rich family of merchants but in this world without the power to protect themselves, wealth usually brings a disaster, and one of the reason the Brandli family survived until now being a family of mortals was because of the offerings they always give to the royal family, a powerful family of mages, and the other nobles because that title of nobles only belongs to the mages.

Beth's family is also a family of mages but she wasn't born with the talend, that was also one of the reasons for the marriage happening, and now with Garsam showing obviously talent to the elements the momment he was born, Gar's father the clan leader, Roth Brandli already put all his hopes and dreams of that one day the Brandli family will achieve nobility on the tiny shoulders of Garsam.

Gar looking at the light red hair and remmembering the red eyes of Garsam at birth couldn't but let out a sigh. "Since it's his fate to tread upon the path of magic, at least until he is 10 that is when he will start his training, let's give him all the love we can." said Gar staring at the mother and son duo in the bed.

Seven Years Later

"Gar you can't let them take him, not yet!" scream Beth at her husband, crying that her son was being taken away so soon from her.

"Beth... there is nothing i can do, you know that... who knew that our son would that talented that already showed such a strong affinity of the element at the age of 7?" Said Gar holding his wife in his arms trying to be strong, seeing that his son would be send to an academy so young and imagining all the difficulties and sufferings he will have to face alone.

At the age of 7 Garsam already showed how smart he is, learning to speak fluently, read most of the books, and how easy deal with the numbers, and because of this, most of the older children ignored him, but they didn't dare to do anything to him, because since young age the greatness and terror of mages is taught, and everybody knows that Garsam has the talent and they look at him with admiration, fear and jealousy.

In a garden at the courtyard of the Brandli mansion with numeros colorful flowers and with fruit trees, with the sun shining through the gaps in the leaves, a scene is taking place, two people are treading on a stone path, one adult with 1,90 meters and a child with 1,20 meters but the the strange thing is that the child is walking side by side with the man like they are the same age trying to give a maturity beyond his age.

"Mister is it you who is going to take me to the academy to learn?" asked the Garsam with big round red eyes and raising his head to look at the blue eyes of the man, that with a blond hair and a straigh chin appeared very handsome, and that although trying to appear mature his voice just made the man laugh a little.

"That's right, my name is Roman, and i will take you to the Sky Sword Academy across the ocean, you and plus 7 others will come with me on a airship." responded Roman to Garsam's question.

"Across the ocean? can't i train at home with my parents? i thought that our Kingdom had a academy that can teach me" Replied Garsam after hearing that he was going far away and separed to his parents, Garsam although put a though front for his family since he learned that he is going to leave them to embark on the path of a mage, he is still a child and listening to this left him sad.

"Sigh... That's right Garsam, you are young but already showed a very special talent, so the branch here of the Sky Sword academy informed the main branch, so after discussed we decided that you would develop better there." responded Roman trying to explain.

"Can i bring my mom and dad?" asked Garsam hopeful, that altought he is alone because he doesn't feel the urge to play with children of his age, but his parents always played with him and showed him with much love that he doesn't want to separete with them.

"No you can't, but after a few years learning you can come back later, and while you studying there you can make many friends as well." responded Ramon in the most calming tone trying to relax the child's feelings.

After the silence lasted a couple of minutes Ramon said again "We will depart tomorrow so prepare your stuff and say your farewells." then he walked ahead leaving Garsam with his own thoughts.
