5 Life 5: Cultivation Beginnings

A few days had passed since his first day at the castle, and well he enjoyed the experience.

He had gotten to see all the rooms and what their purposes were, such as a meditation room, a time dilated room and a Qi-Absorption room where it is easier to absorb Qi, faster and more efficient than a normal area would allow.

And in these few days, his sister had begun training him in the art of Qi Manipulation, he had learnt that he was an odd case, as he was clearly only on Level 7, But he had a battle power of 21.

This was unusual as normally a cultivator, at Grey Qi Realm Level 1 started off with 10 BP. But Wukong had turned common sense upside down.  

This was because, Wukong was Dual-Cultivating both his Physique and Qi, however he didn't know this as it was a subconscious act happening as if normal within his body, this was due to his Bloodline awakening of Ability Extracting.

And because of this he had the same force of a Level 2 Grey Qi Realm Fighter. Lucia was also surprised about this as she had never heard of this happening before in the history of the world, making her opinion of Wukong increase even more.

Not only was the child, caring and kind but also a genius, kind and genius in a sentence usually never described the genius, but rather two different people and so this was a pleasant surprise to Lucia.

Soon he had learnt the basics of some martial arts that Lucia had taught him, and while doing this his strength further increased.

After a few weeks of training in the basic martial arts, Lucia had stopped him before saying, "Wukong, your strength has increased tremendously within these past few weeks, yet you are still on the first level of the Grey Qi Realm, I don't know what to say other than Genius, but don't begin to become complacent with your strength, as you still have lots to learn."

"Sis, I'm not going to become complacent, come on you know that, after all I still can't beat you, and you said your on the Bronze Qi Realm Level 4, with the power of 75 BP, and you also said that the Brown Qi Realm was only the second Realm in Cultivation, this clearly means I have a lot to catch up to before I can even reach your level."

When Lucia heard this she started to giggle, "... Wukong, I'm thankful that your still quite down to Earth, however you don't need to worry to reach my stage, as soon enough you'll reach it, haven't I told you countless times your a genius, not to mention your physical strength is amazing. Anyway I'm sure you'll reach my Realm sooner or later."

Hearing that, Wukong got pumped up, to train even more as he knew if he doesn't even have more strength, than his loved one how can he protect her. Soon the young boy carried on his hell like training.

Another few days had passed:

And on this day Lucia had brought Wukong to her study room it wasn't extremely spacious, but it was clean and organised all around. The faint odour of archaic books permeated through the room, it was surprisingly a pleasant smell.

"Wukong, martial arts cultivation can be very hard and painful on the body, and in Cultivation one can even destroy themselves because of excess energy. Are you afraid." Lucia softly asked as she sat down next to Wukong.

"I'm not afraid sister. No matter how many obstacles are placed before and ahead of me, I will treat them as my stepping stones, I will never stumble upon a stepping stone!"

"And regardless of pain and injury to my body, I will strive and struggle to cultivate as this is the only way to protect my loved ones, to Protect You and your Smile!"

Lucia, was shocked and overjoyed, as she would never think a ten year old would say such words but also would subject himself to horrendous pain just to see her smile and live a good life, after hearing this she gained a faint blush of fluster on her cheeks, making her look adorable as her white hair contrasted her red cheeks.

"*Cough... Wukong cultivation can be generally split into 2 paths. First is the foundation building upon your Qi that can help you use the elements into light beams and attacks from afar, and second is the martial techniques training your raw strength your body and increasing your power to be able to tank most attacks. Only by combining both together will one be able to unleash true formidable strength and power."

"Sis, does this means that the more solid one's foundation is, the greater strength one would be able to exhibit out in Battle and training?" Wukong asked after contemplating for a short while.

Lucia was stunned, as she never knew the level of Wukong' comprehension was so high…

"Yes, You could say that, as the saying goes; practising martial arts without first establishing a solid foundation, causes all your effort and hard work to become nothing, and to begin your foundation you must begin meditating as only through that can you become calm and peaceful as if a ripple on a lake."

2 hours later.

When Lucia had departed, Wukong was slowly entering into a meditative state, when she had left she had already taught him her Cultivation Technique, it was called "Frost Unparalleled" it was not just a Cultivation Technique but also a martial art technique having both foundation training as well as body strengthening techniques.

Mediation, this was an quintessential practice in the way of cultivation. This was especially true when it came to cultivating higher-tiered martial arts. If one could not even calm one's heart, one would not be able to go far on the road to become an expert and become an immortal in the end, so what one really needed was calm and peace so that no heart demons would manifest themselves causing Cultivation Degradation.

Looking at the ease in which Wukong had entered a meditative state, Lucia couldn't help but be startled once again. His talent was really unbelievable!

Eventually, Wukong could feel a strand of hair-thin Qi emerging from his Energy Core, flowing along his energy channels and circulating around his body. This strand of Qi felt extremely fragile, as if it could break any moment.

Gradually, after the Qi had circulated for the full span of a single day and night, it flowed back into his Energy Core.

Wukong had finally succeeded in condensing Qi! Happily, he opened his eyes with a face full of elation.

(Energy Core: It's two inches below your navel and is essentially a Dantian)

After that day when he had successfully formed Qi within his Inner Energy Core, Wukong carried on practicing, soon 3 months had passed, and because of all his effort in cultivating, he had took a rest.

To repair his damaged tissues and muscles, and the weird thing was that whenever he did something too strenuously he could feel a certain energy within his body replenishing himself.

It was one of the Ability Extractor Bloodline Abilities what it did was provide him with Extractor Qi to heal his wounded and battered body after a hard day on martial arts technique training, and after he was healed his strength also increase depending on whether his damage was serious or not, and when it was serious he would have a massive boost.

He found that regardless of how reckless he was with his training that the Extractor Qi always replenished his body back to peak strength, but sometimes If the injury were too much it would take a nights rest to heal him up again.

And the best thing about Extractor Qi was that it had all the elements within it, not to mention it had been constantly emitting energy to nourish Wukong' bones and the organs in his body, it was also constantly raising his energy level to its peak, allowing Wukong to be even more powerful.

Anyway Wukong was circulating Extractor Qi around his body over and over again, after 3 months of cultivation, be it rain or sunshine, he had never stopped his cultivation before.

And as he did this, his body continued to circulate more and more Extractor Qi, making him even stronger than the average Qi Wielder, due to Extractor Qi being more potent and powerful when compared to normal Qi types.

Another Three Months Had Passed:

In these three months, Wukong had found that, the Cultivation Technique "Frost Unparalleled" was actually for Water Type and Ice Type Qi wielders, and found that his sister thought he had either, as only a person with that Qi would be able to use the Cultivation Technique.

He found that because the Extractor Qi had all the attributes to it he could use any attribute specific techniques, and found that it he combined his Cultivation with Extractor Qi and mixed it with his "Frost Unparalleled" Qi his powers and Cultivation speed would double, Reaping twice the benefit with only half the effort!

And something else he found out was, that his Ability Extractor, Abilities were like Cultivation Techniques of their own, and he could cultivate his (Ability Extractor will be known as AE) AE Qi alongside his "Frost Unparalleled" Qi Technique.

While circulating his Qi over his body over and over again, Wukong could feel that he was on the verge of breaking through to the next level, but he seemed to be lacking in something.

He knew that he was at the final bottleneck between the next level but whenever he tried to overcome the last gate, he always failed. Soon an ocean of sweat flowed down his face in testament of the efforts he expended to breaking through.

"... I Must Break Through, this gate this barrier this wall, if I can't even break this insignificant gate then how can I protect my Loved ONES... Raaargh, Aaaargh, RAAARGH!!!"

After this seemingly loud shout that seemed to have pierced the skies, was launched out from Wukong' mouth, soon he could feel an extremely comfortable and cooling energy flowing through his whole body. All 360 acupoints and pores on his body were shivering in delight and soon his acupoints were all unsealed.

And his hair thin Qi from before had grown into a thick wool like Qi, After slowly circulating his Qi for 36 cycles around his meridians and then back to his Energy Core, Wukong could feel explosive energy in his body, even his perceptiveness seemed to have increased, he could seem to see the world clearer, he could even see an ant walking on the ground clearly from far away.

And in this three month time period Wukong had achieved his breakthrough to Grey Qi Realm Level 2, and like usual his strength was double what it was supposed to be due to his subconscious Cultivation of both body and mind.

And so currently his Battle Power was 30 Jins making his strength was equal to a Grey Qi Realm Level 4, this was amazing and never heard of before, can you believe it, this would be an amazing advantage to opponents within your level and in tournaments as well.
