44 Wing it

"I'm going back." Kane stepped in front of Asrael.

"For what?"

"Teri."

"Why isn't she here?" Asrael blocked Kane's path out the door.

"She's dead."

Asrael raised a hand to Kane's chest and pushed him backwards. "Sit the hell down."

Kane didn't stand a chance against his boss as he stumbled and fell to the floor. "Let me leave." He spoke quietly with little to no authority.

"She's not coming back from the dead." Asrael stood over him.

"I need to bury her." Kane looked up with his eyebrows creased.

"Her body can wait."

"I let her die!"

"She died because she wasn't strong enough." Asrael knelt down.

"You asshole!" Kane lunged forward, weaponless.

"What have I told you about blind rage?" Asrael moved twice Kane's speed and stood up before kicking the young man down. With a foot planted on his shoulder, he kept him on the floor.

"Get off!" Kane put his hands on Asrael's leg, struggling to remove it.

Asrael looked up, counting the people in front of him with his eyes. "We lost four?"

"Carter, Gavin, and Teri are dead. We aren't sure about Kyle."

"Explain." Asrael ordered.

"Ginny?" Lufti shifted towards the skinny man.

"I only saw the three, I didn't see Kyle." Ginny looked down.

"We'll go find Kyle another time." Asrael said, ignoring the struggle beneath his foot. "We have something to do right now."

"Does it relate to the bunny gang?" Merlin, who was sitting in the back of the room, asked.

"What? No, they changed it to the bunny bunch." Asrael removed his foot from Kane's shoulder. "Eternal leader, come in."

On cue, a seemingly 21 year old man walked in through the open door. His blue eye's excitedly scanned the room.

"You!" Ginny screeched as he lifted his finger to point. "But you died!"

"I'm alive now, aren't I?" Arius retorted with the corners of his lips curved up.

Kane readily stood up, with his assumptions made, he targeted Arius. He ran up and restrained him by the collar. "How did she die!?"

Arius knew whom Kane was speaking of, as he answered, "fatal misfortune." Somehow incurring more of Kane's rage.

Before Kane had the chance to continue his shenanigans, Asrael pulled him back by his hair. "Idiot." Then, he looked back at one of the only girls in the group, "Rana, go rev up your engine. We're bringing out the black van's."

"Teri isn't with us anymore--God bless her soul--so I'm gonna need someone else to drive the second one." Rana, with her black hair tied up, looks among her fellow comrades.

"Kane, he can take his sisters place." Asrael released the young man and then looked towards Arius. "What's the plan?"

"I figured we could wing it."

"What's the goal?" Delorah huffed.

"Saving someone from a mansion," Asrael looked over at her.

"Let's just go~!" Arius hurried them.

"Fine, you can wing it while I prepare." Asrael shrugged.
