27 If he fell in love

The five of them are their icecream, Arius, Zuna, Eirik, and Dante, sat together outside. Asrael however stayed inside the shop talking to the girl, Chrysanthemum. Arius shook his head at the sight.

Arius didn't want to crush whatever hope Asrael had, but he felt that it was better to remind him sooner than later. Remind him that he would live forever, and that the girl at the counter would not.

He wasn't oblivious to the way Asrael looked at her. He prayed that the boy was simply reminded of his mother, that way he wouldn't pursue the girl. Eirik also caught on to the way Asrael acted, and he shared similar thoughts. Live as long as they did, and one wouldn't have to pay much attention to understand something.

Zuna finished her icecream last, yet she was the first back in the car.

"You three can go first, I'll go get Asrael." Arius told them as he went into the shop.

"Oh, hey it's eternal leader." Asrael looked at him. Arius almost forgot that Asrael didn't know his name.

"Call me Arius." He told him.

"Your card said your name was Phillip." The girl behind the counter said with suspicion.

"Arius is a nickname." He smiled awkwardly. Almost spilt the beans! "Come on Asrael, we're leaving."

"We'll come back here another time, right?" Asrael asked to make sure. His entire character seemed to change since they last spoke.

"Um, yea." Arius nodded. Poor boy, but perhaps he fell in love a lot, and got over crushes fast? Hopefully, but for now he wanted to see if it progressed.

They were on their way home, and as Asrael seemed to be in a good mood they felt that questioning him would be easier this time.

"What does Phyrraium look like?" Eirik asked without turning to look at him.

"It's red, I think it glows in the dark too, but it's been awhile since I've seen it." Asrael's change made Dante feel uncomfortable, he knew what it meant. He had known since the girls name was called.

"Back when you said you aged like a mortal with it, does that mean someone could grow old with it?" Eirik was curious even though he didn't show it.

"I'm not sure, I got rid of it." Asrael was relatively cooperative.

"How many are there in existence?" Arius went on to ask, "And where did you put it?"

"Well, I really don't know how many or where it is." Asrael let a deep breath escape.

"I guess we'll figure it out eventually." Arius huffed.

"Ah, wait." Asrael remembered something. "Tomorrow, I need to go visit my gang so I can step down from my position as King."

"King?" Arius looked back to be met with Asrael's serious gaze. "I'll take you where ever you want to go."

"Good." He nodded.

They got back to the house late. "Who wants dinner?"

"I'll cook!" Zuna jumped at the opportunity.

"Alright then, I'll show you were everything is." He went into the kitchen, and she followed. Everyone else, including Asrael had gone upstairs. Arius figured that Asrael was deciding on a room, while Eirik was finishing unpacking. Dante was... keeping an eye on his brother maybe?

"I think I'll be able to find what I need without you." She told him quite frankly.

"What are you making?" Arius let her do as she pleased.

"Spaghetti? People usually always have the ingredients for that, right?"

He gave a weird look.

"Do you not like spaghetti?" Zuna asked with concern, but she was too cute. He couldn't help the smile forming on his lips.

"Isn't that sort of easy to make?" He leaned forward. They were alone in the kitchen, for some reason he felt that it gave him an opportunity for something.

"If it's so easy then why are you still here?"

"It might be because you're too cute leave alone, but who really knows?" He was blunt. What he felt for her couldn't be described with words at this stage, all he could say was for sure, is that he found her attractive.

Arius had made up his mind years ago, that he would never fall in love again, but the situation was different. Maybe this time, it would be okay if he fell in love.

"Stop it..." She had to turn around to avoid him from noticing her flushed checks, but that was somehow even cuter. As he moved to get in front of her she turned away again. She was really reluctant to face him, so he gave up.

"Fine~ I'll leave."
