11 Ch.11|Capture Her

After Arius made sure that Dante was safely secured in the back seat, he drove off. Since neither of them had breakfast, they went to one of the shops nearby by. Though they somehow ended up getting a box of donuts. The two ate a few on the way to green street.

While Arius was wondering if someone might recognize him as Jarres Keanu, Dante was happily anticipating their destination. Eventually Arius decided not to worry about being recognized, his mind drifted off toward the thought of that immortal. Zuna, she did instead sound dangerous, he would have to keep an eye on Dante.

When the car was parked, Arius stepped out with the box of donuts. Dante hoped out with a donut in his mouth, and it was at that moment Pierre came racing toward him.

"Lil' brother!" Pierre said excitedly, while Dante dashed behind Arius.

"Careful, Pierre." Arius warned humorously. Behind him, Dante began eating the donut in his mouth.

"He doesn't like me?" Pierre whined.

"Perhaps not." Arius's response made Pierre feel a little bit uncomfortable, but his eyes lit up when he saw just how adorable the small boy was.

"Janice is going to cry tears of joy when she sees him." Pierre knelt down.

"Well, go get her then." Arius smiled. "And take these donuts."

"Uh, Okay." Pierre stood up and nodded, taking the box of donuts out of Arius's hands.

"Now go!" Arius shooed him away. Pierre awkwardly saluted to him as he ran off.

"You're kind of mean." Dante commented. "He'll probably feel hurt when he finds out there's nothing left in the box."

"That's the idea." Arius winked. "Remember to use every chance you get to pull a prank."

Dante nodded to that, although it wasn't likely he would take it to heart. Yet, Dante would still scare everyone witless without trying.

It was minutes later when Janice and Pierre arrived at their meeting spot. Predictably, Janice couldn't stop smiling at Dante.

"What's his name?" She asked while staring at the small child.

"Durante, Dante for short." Arius leaned up against his car with a proud smile. Although he didnt look quite as cool after Dante leaned his back up against the car aswell. Dante simply looked cute enough for Arius to be labeled adorable by association.

"Ah! So cute!" Janice squealed, bending over slightly towards Dante.

"Isn't he though?" Arius's gaze was prideful of his adopted son, Dante.

"Yes, he's cute, but that's not what you came here for. Right, Arius?" Pierre sighed with his arms crossed over his chest. Arius's expression changed slightly as he thought for a moment.

"On the topic then, Zuna isn't that far from here. She's in a more rural area though." Janice stood up straight at the change in atmosphere. Before continuing, she tilted her chin to gesture at Dante.

"It's fine, he knows." Arius let her know.

"So anyway, we've sent people to capture but she's easily fought all of them off." Janice didn't know how to feel about Dante already knowing. "However each time someone comes in contact with her, they die immediately or eventually. The causes are usually unpredictable."

"Okay, I understand. I suppose I'm the only one that can capture her then." Arius assumed.

"Why are you 'capturing' her?" Dante's sadi disapprovingly. "Can't you just talk to her?"

"Would you walk into someone else's car based on words alone?" Pierre chided.

"Well I did do that, so yes." Dante informed him.

"Pierre, take me to where she is." Arius sighed.

"I'll try to talk to her first. I'm not quite sure how we would even bring her back."

"Bring me!" Dante jumped up and looked at Arius with sparkles in his eyes.

"No..." Arius's mind was bombarded with the cuteness that was Dante. "It's too dangerous."

Dante's expression visibly sank, he looked down with a sort of sadness in his eyes. It was then that Arius couldn't help but give.

"Fine! You can come." Arius broke. "Janice, are you coming aswell?"

"No. I have work to do." Janice said sadly.

"Alright then. Pierre, let's go." Arius went and got into the passenger seat of his own car. Followed by Dante and Pierre.
