Maybe attraction ... maybe love !!

Rita was getting a bit flustered with the way Liam Sheng was interrogating her regarding the questions she asked .

She felt like she was being interrogated by a psychologist or maybe even a police officer , for committing a crime , she didn't really know herself .

She was going to say him to let it be , when suddenly she could see a bright bulb lighting on his head . His head whipped in her direction as if he just got a very incredible idea to conquer the world with a very easy way . Rita also expectantly looked up at him , while sitting on her chair .

She bent over the table and put her hands on it with her face being supported by her hands . She looked like a child who was expecting a surprise from a stunt person . The environment suddenly turned into something very suspense full and both of them were a part of it . It somehow felt amusing at the same time .

Liam Sheng then said with a very suspensive tone , " I think …. "

Rita looked up at him more expectantly than ever , her eyes big with expectation . The suspense for the answer was almost killing her .

" I think … "

Rita was getting annoyed by the long stretched suspense from her assistant side .

" I think … "

" Ahh … just spout out what you think , Mr. Liam . It's the hundredth time that I have heard you saying – ' I think ' . "

"…"

' But he just wanted to create an amusing environment of suspense and he only repeated his words for three times . When did he forget to count ? '

But seeing his boss getting annoyed by the suspense and the upcoming dangerous aura , Liam Sheng could only flinch . Even though he was quite a few years older than her , he could not afford to get on the bad side of his boss . Not when he was assigned this job as the personal assistant of the young miss by his own former boss .

He gave up that over exaggerated expression as his face became grave with seriousness .

Rita could feel the tension in the air rising up , expect for the fact that the tension had nothing to do with any kind of rivalry but with the upcoming thought that Liam Sheng was going to share .

" I think that your friend has just fallen prey to attraction , young miss . And the fact is that seeing any handsome man/ woman , people tend to get attracted to their personality and aura . That might mean that they like them , but not necessarily does it last long . Especially if we are talking about the business project meeting . It might be that she just got impressed by the client's aura and confidence or looks - …. "

Liam Sheng stopped speaking when he realized that he had been speaking non stop without any response from the person in front of him .

Rita was stoned on her chair like a statue . Her expression didn't change and neither did she even nod . But Liam Sheng could feel that ominous aura coming off from her .

' What wrong did he do ? He just said what he thought . What was there to be angry over it ? Did he say something wrong ? '

Liam Sheng could feel the sudden chill in the air , making him shiver .

He somehow managed to squeak out a voice as he said , " If it's not attraction , then maybe it has something to do with love . After all … the .. there are many cases when people fall in love at first sight ."

When he saw some relaxation in her expression , he silently prayed that may he be spared his life .

He carefully chose his next words as he continued , " I myself am an example of a person who fell in love at first sight . I fell in love with my wife , at first sight . "

Remembering about his wife , Liam Sheng suddenly remembered that today was his marriage anniversary and he set off from home without even wishing his wife anything .

How could he forget such an important day of his life ? What a fool he was ? What kind of a husband he was ?

When he saw that the expression of young miss had relaxed a lot and that she was back to normal , he sighed in relief but sweated at the thought of his wife's scary or maybe a sad face when he would be home . He needed to prepare something for his beloved wife , before he gets kicked out of his room tonight .

He cleared his throat and looked up at Rita , who was now intently watching the ceiling with a thoughtful expression , as if thinking about something very intriguing . He again cleared his throat a bit and that's when he managed to draw her attention back to him .

When Rita threw him a questioning gaze , he said a bit sheepishly , " Umm , young miss . If you don't mind , may I please leave the office a bit early ? Because – "

Before he could even finish his sentence , Liam sheng was cut off by Rita as she gave him a small smile and continued instead ,

" Go home , Mr. Liam . Today I give you a free paid holiday . And don't forget to wish Mrs. Liam from my side as well . Happy marriage anniversary . Also take the gift from my side to you and mam . It has been placed in your office . "

Liam Sheng could feel his emotions riling up into tears as one or two of them escaped his eyes . He nodded in approval and with an expression of immense gratitude , he turned on his heel and went out of the office .

Rita just sighed and chuckled as she thought about the suggestion that Mr. Liam just gave her .

' She might .. be in love ? '

Rita shook her head while smiling like a shy teenage girl and just chuckled as she went on to resume her work .

There was a lot to prepare now .
