One shots taken of my mind
I had woken up motivated, wanting to do new things, it had been a while since I had felt like that but well at least you had to have a little positivity, no?
I got dressed and headed towards a new routine, normally I went alone to a coffee shop to have my morning coffee and then I went to work, but that day I completely changed my day, I was anxious to go to a bookstore to see what new books they had put out, It had been a while since I had read and I had already forgotten the excitement of thinking about how you play that character, I left the coffee shop and went to the bookstore, when I entered I got a smell which I had missed, it was quite changed from when I came last time, I could tell that there were several new furniture including the shelves.
I chose an aisle at random, I was going to pick the ones I was most interested in, I realized that I had chosen the supernatural theme, it gave me a lot of hope to look for books with this theme since I loved it.
Him: What a fantasy, I should have come more often.
I immediately started to look to see what I found, I took all the books that interested me a lot and I knew I could learn a little more about these beings that fascinated many people including me, when I was going to go to another aisle I saw something shining, I approached to see what it was, it came from a book, I looked at it and when I looked on the second page there was a very strange letter, it seemed to be written in another language.
Him: What is this?
I recited those words and from one moment to another I was in another place, it was as if I had been transported to another world, this world was different, as if the everyday world had turned upside down, instead of ordinary humans there were vampires, werewolves, ghosts and more beings that few people knew.
I was walking trying to know how to find a way out of this, from time to time I was meeting quite intimidating beings that I was afraid to say something in case they did something to me, a moment later I crossed quite a few people, there was supposed to be a fairly old castle where the king lived, I focused on one thing in particular, in the monument that was at the top of the castle, There was a pretty nice ring, in it there were diamonds and a diamond embedded in the middle, the closer I got I heard murmurs, they said that whoever got the ring would have the power to make a wish, knowing that important information I was only thinking about having it just for me, it sounded very selfish but I should not lie.
Him: Where am I? This is strange.
I didn't like to be very expressive with my feelings but once in a while it wasn't bad to be.
In theory, that ring was kept in a hidden place that only the king knew, to know where it was exactly you had to play loyalty to him he would decide if he would give it to you or not. you should show him loyalty, if he saw that you were telling the truth he would give you the ring in a moment, he would give it to you on one condition, if you are in a bad mood that ring would turn black, meaning that you could not be granted that wish.
"- It's the mood ring, it signals what mood I'm in."
I crept into the castle in the hope that I could return, I was dodging the guards when I saw that they were clueless, climbing the stairs as fast as I could until once I reached the top of the castle, there was a very large door wide open, that only meant that the king was on his throne, I decided to hide in a corner where I could not be seen anything and when they finally left the guards I had on the sides of the throne and so I could explain my situation.
King: You know what happens if you don't follow the rules, are you sure you have pure humor?
Him: Yes, I am sure, please let me grant my wish.
I don't know how much time had passed but it was getting dark, I heard how the guards were going to sleep so I hurried to go to the king. I stood in front of him and begged him with all my strength to leave me the ring, I had to return as soon as possible to my world since I did not belong to this world.
After so much begging he warned me of the consequences of having a black mood, he went to a room where there was like an invisible barrier where only the king could pass, if a being tried to force the entrance to that room he would die at that instant.
He gave me the ring and when I made my wish it took seconds to transport me to where I had read those words, I ran out of the bookstore knowing that I would never pick up that book again. I arrived home impressed by the trip I had made, I don't know at what point I had fallen into the arms of Morpheus but it seemed like a dream.
