Time skip: 4 months

Ilan Burke: 11 months old

Four months passed since my parents and Alfred's daughter died. I and Alfred were living in Burke's mansion in Frence. Fortunately the Death Eaters didn't know my existence as my parents didn't make my register in the Ministry. And they don't have time to look for a butler, so for now, we are safe. Moreover, the Stone and Burke pact is a secret or even been a butler, the Death Eaters might hunter Alfred to try to get Burke's inheritance.

I can see that Alfred in suffering for sleep and hardly passing by, but there is also a burn in his eyes asking for revenge. He became addicted to training and studying. It is the way he found to make him sober. But when he is taking care of me, he puts his best "everything is ok" face. As for the housing chore, Rick does the entire thing.

While I was saying "lumos" like every day, trying to do some magic, a huge explosion happens in my room.

Alfred came to my room running while screaming "Young master!"

When he saw that I was fine, he became relived but murmuring "How can this be possible? To have a magic accident when he is only 11 months …"

"Truly a genius!" said him while picking me up. For the first time in months, I saw his real smile

I made my mind and choose Magical force. It's the option that I need the most. When I selected it, I could feel that I became slightly stronger

Time skip: 1 year and a month

Ilan Burke: 2 years old

Another year passed by since I came to this world. And I made Alfred really speechless with my improvement. I could already talk and read. More than that, I could do some simple magic.

I level up 3 times this year, and started to understand a little about my system. I level up whenever I become better in something: be become more magical, learn new subjects or improve some abilities; everything seems to count as my "xp". As for the reward, they can be random or affiliated with the thing that made me level up. The 3 levels made me choose: (Improve in talk; improve in reading; Charm), (Improve in talk; Magic force; Charm), (Improve in talk; improve in walk; Charm).

Well, be talk or walk, let's my body "learn" in a normal way, I don't think that will help that much talk or walk better for now. Nor read, I have a lot of time and there is a limit to how much I can absolve. So I choose charm 2 times, which made me become cuter, well, all babies are cute (unless you are born as Benjamin Button), but I become above average. My life in school will be splendor.

As for this entire year, all I did is studying and reading. Alfred only saw me with kid's books, but I made Rick pick more advanced ones (without my butler knowing it). Not only me, I saw that Alfred also improved a lot in his magic this year. I'm sure that he will become one of the strongest wizards a few years later.

Focus, time and talent, we don't lack any. And more importantly, we don't need to preoccupy with others matters, and the money in French's Burke mansion would last decades with our current spend (we didn't access my family vault in Britain to not alert the Death Eaters)

"Happy birthday Young Master!" said a happy Alfred while giving me a present

I happily unwrapped the kid's broom (for all magic that we can do, we magician still wrap a broom in a way that makes it's obvious…) "Thank you Alfred!!" I said before hugging him

"Your parents would be proud of you, young master!" said him with a tiny melancholic voice

"We will make them proud Alfred, my parents, and your daughter!" I proclaimed with a serious face. Alfred just nodded
