Nick's POV:

(I know what your thinking. who tf is Nick? Well you can check the characters list and he was mentioned in a few chapters in the beginning. Dont worry he'll be more present from now on. :))

'Dude what the fuck is wrong with you', I said shoving Rafeal, 'Why will you do that to Alex?'.

'Why do you care. I got tired of her bullshit so I broke up with her', he said shrugging like it meant nothing.

'So Lisa is the one you want now?'.

'Obviously', he rolled his eyes.

'Are you even listening to yourself right now? We both know that Lisa is manipulative and here you are saying you want Lisa? I dont think we can stay friends', I said the last part quietly.

'Why?', he asked.

'Because I cant be best friends with a dick'. He frowned deeper.

'Nick....', he started.

'Save it', I turned around and started to walk away but his next words stopped.

'Why do you even care? You like her or something?'. I didn't bother turning to face him.

'Yes Rafael. I like Alex. In fact I love her but my best friend was interested in her so I hid my feelings. I thought you'll be right for her Rafeal but I guess I was wrong. Goodbye'. I left without another word as the sound of glass breaking echoed through the house.

I sat at the dinner waiting for her to show up. Already an hour had passed and still no sign of her. I was about to leave when she showed up looking beautiful as ever in a black romper and her hair falling in loose curls. She spotted me and came over with a small smile on her face.

'Hi', she said quietly.

'Hey', I smiled but she didn't return it. Up close her eye bags wear visible.

'Why did you want to meet?'.

'I wanted to see how your doing that's all'. She didn't say anything but just looked at her fingers. 'Alex I know Rafeal..'.

'Dont call his name!', she warned angrily. I flinched and she mumbled a sorry.

'Ok I know he hurt you but I'm sure there's a reason he's doing this. Just give him time okay?'.She laughed.

'Time? What fucking time. I'm getting married soon Nick so I don't see how I should give Rafeal time. He's always been with Lisa and always till be . I dont want to come in between that', she said.

'Married?', I asked dumbfounded.

'Yes Nick. Thank you for your time but I should be on my way'. She stood up and waved a goodbye to me before leaving the diner.
