12 The Cause and Effect

The first thing that any hybrid will teach to the beginners is to continually cast a power radar. It must be like breathing to you.

Power radar will definitely help out hybrids in difficult situations.

"Mom, Dad and uncle, can we continue this at home. I don't think it is appropriate to discuss it here."

"Of course, I hope you are hungry, I will prepare you your favorites. Come my child."

<Zell Family>

The Zell family built three four-storey building for their own use. Marty resides on the center building and Jeremy on the right while their last sister took the left building.

Marty led them to his building first for them to discuss what happened to Arthur.

"Mom, can you prepare me some food first. I really am hungry. I never knew being a hybrid will make me a glutton."

"Of course, my child. Jeremy, you better bring this one home early, okay? I will prepare food immediately."

Sensing his nephew's intention to speak privately, Marty also commanded the guards and maids to leave.

Arthur was all smiles when his mother was around, but the moment she left, his temperament changed quickly into serious mode.

He observed the room from top to the floor before sitting down on the couch.

"They also need to go". After sitting down, he pointed towards some places in the room and directly requested this.

Marty and Jeremy was shocked that this kid can even sense the totally hidden people guarding this room. Marty snapped his fingers to let the people hiding to go away.

"I am assuming you want know what I experienced, but I can't tell you. It is not that I am not trusting you, but you are better off not knowing". Arthur sounded very arrogant but the two men sensed that the kid is very serious.

"We understand. We have secrets of our own that we do not want other people to know. You have suffered a lot because of our shortcomings. It is even fine to be angry with us. Your dad and I will atone for our sins. However, just know that we did not abandon you. Now that you are back, can we atleast hope that you help the family?"

Although the kid in front of them had the same blood as them, they could never shake the feeling of something very different unlike any other kids. They felt something noble and frightening aura coming from him.

Other ten year old kids would still take a humble tone when talking to someone older. Unlike them, Arthur was talking to them like an equal or maybe even less than that.

"I have learned many things when I was away. And before I was tossed, I saw Uncle Marty killings the bastards who kidnapped us."

After telling them this, Arthur unconsciously emmitted terrifying killing intent.

"They were clearly targetting our family and I don't know why yet, but when I do find out who and what are their plans for doing so, well they can be assured that no one will save them from retribution."

"Your Uncle and I know what they are after investigated for years but what we have so far is their target. The enemy really had planned to hide their intentions until the end by masking your kidnapping with other kids to misdirect our attention."

Marty explained that at that time, a friend of his rented one of their stalls to hide a cargo. He also hired the Zell family to protect said cargo.

Apparently, there was a internal fued of some sort from the Kingdom of Gridherd. The cargo really were people from the losing side, who were trying to escape. They have solicited some help from another kingdom and they just have to wait in Sunstone city for reinforcements.

Arthur felt something wrong with this information. The kidnappers back then were clearly planning for robbery and stealing attempt and not an assasination one.

"Anyways son, there reinforcements came at the right time and prevented the killings. They even helped us to retrieve you. After failed rescue, they were positive that you died wherever you were sent, and tried to compensate us for our loss.

Your mother and I refused to accept their compensation but instead requested a favor when you come back alive. They agreed and left the city at the same day. Do not mention anything about the compensation in front of your mother, it really pisses her off. We don't want her side of the family reprimand us any further."

"People will ask questions of your return and I assume that you have a plan for that my good nephew.

"Well we can always say that you ended up on a small country far away and helped you become a hybrid. They also sent you home to us , that is why you took so long to go back. I guess we need to tell the same story to your mother."

"Then that is settled, we will go with that story. I want to go back and eat. Uncle I will go your library later on. I hope I can get the information that I need there about hybrids and their power levels."

Arthur casually walked out of the room and went towards their house without bothering what the other two men are thinking.

"Brother, what do you think?"

Marty leaned back comfortably on his chair.

"Fortune comes after tragedy. Well, we have to support him, it is what he deserved. It does not seem that he holds malice against us. He is your son, trust him more."
