3 Not to be felt

Preview : It has become part of Jani's past and it is time for her past book with Rangga to be kept. If it's just to read it's okay but not to be felt.

"What do you want to say, Jani? Oh yes by the way... how are you?" Jani's heart seemed to be racing to get out of her chest.

"I'm fine Ga... umm how are you?" Jani turning back the question.

"I'm not so good hahaha! Can we meet tomorrow? I'm just bit in a rush now," Rangga offered.

Jani thought a little, wouldn't it be better if they met face to face?

"It's okay, how about we meet tomorrow at the green trees? At 5 pm after I go home from work," said Jani.

"Okay, see you there, Jani," Rangga immediately hung up the phone.

Jani breathed a sigh of relief. Really, her heart was still screaming asking Jani to listen to the bass sound a little longer. Her heart even knows whom she misses every time when Jani faces a problem like this.

After a while Jani managed to neutralize her tension, she realized what Rangga had said on the phone. "I'm not so good...." a moment later Jani felt worried. Is Rangga sick? Or was he in trouble? But yeah, it's not Jani's business anymore. Then Jani chose to sleep so she wouldn't be late at work.

Half past 8 in the morning, Jani walked into the office lobby where she worked as HR staff. In a company engaged in the distribution of well-known cosmetics in Indonesia. The president director of the company where she worked was reported to have been sick since a month ago, therefore the office was not as tense as usual when the president director often visited the office and was angry several times because of things that were not as expected.

"Morning Jan, you know there's a new gossip," Rena, who is in the same division with Jani, immediately gave a guess that Jani was often not interested in.

"I don't know Ren, it's not important anyways. What's important now is that I want to make coffee because my eyes are heavy," Jani casually stepped into the elevator door that had just opened.

"Our main director left everything to his son, who graduated from Aussie Jan," said Rena.

"What did you say? His son? The one who's been here before? The one who bragging about his good looks?" said Jani in disbelief. In Jani's mind, the son of the owner is indeed handsome, but he is pretentious, so for Jani, the guy is clearly not her type.

"Let me introduce to all of you, he is the son of Mr. Efran, his name is Mr. Arga. Starting today, he will replace Mr. Efran," explained Mr. Ibnu.

"It's going to be worse than his father," Jani thought.

At 12 o'clock, Jani and Rena were getting ready to leave the office to immediately comply with the requests of the worms in their stomachs that had been thrashing for food. Jani and Rena chose to eat in the office canteen, which is located on the 1st floor.

Then suddenly, Jani remembered her promise to Rangga. "Ah, at least I have to make sure that the promise this afternoon really happens," thought Jani.

Jani typed a message and immediately sent it to the number she called last night with a pounding heart. Not ten minutes later, Jani's cell phone rang. With a butterfly fliying in her stomach, Jani immediately replied to a message from Rangga.

"You too, don't forget to have lunch, Rangga, see you..."

Jani is like going back to the days when she is still approaching Rangga. It seems Jani wants to express her longing for Rangga, but her brain is still working well so she doesn't embarrass herself.

"Why are you smiling all this time, eat that soto," Rena's voice broke Jani's thoughts.

"I don't know why, I just miss the old days when I was with Rangga, hehehe," while grinning, Jani immediately scooped up her food.

"Live it now, it's not going back to the past or the future, I know you'll still want to go back with Rangga," said Rena.

Rena is Jani's best friend when Jani fails to move on from Rangga. Jani did break up 2 years ago but after that she spent 1 year waiting for Rangga, who likes to come and go in her life without any relationship status, nor the promise for a bond each another. Jani patiently waits until Rangga finally establishes a relationship with Vita, who is Vita, Jani doesn't know. She only met once when Rangga introduced Vita to her. Since then Jani has tried to forget Rangga and will only think of Rangga as nothing more than a friend.

"I don't know if I still have feelings for Rangga, obviously I still miss him sometimes, Ren," Jani replied while chewing tempeh.

Rena put down the spoon and immediately took a sip of the iced tea she ordered. After taking a deep breath Rena then said, "Remember Jan, you used to break up with Rangga because he cheated on you behind your back many times, and my advice to you was not good to be expected again. Follow the flow forward Jan, not backwards. Because what's behind is enough to be your lesson for now and your life journey ahead." Jani was amazed by Rena's words.

There is a truth in what Rena said. She can no longer rely on Rangga because Rangga has become a part of Jani's past and it is time for her past book with Rangga to be kept. If it's just to read it's okay but not to be felt.

"Can I sit here?" Jani looked up to see who was speaking.

"Oh yes please, Mr. Arga, it's okay, sir. We're just the two of us anyway, aren't we Jan?" Rena answered kindly.

"Duh! I want to throw up, look at this pretentious guy," Jani thought unconsciously still looking at Arga.

"Jannn, why don't you just shut up!" Rena elbowed Jani while whispering.

As if realizing that she had been staring into the boss's eagle eyes, Jani haltingly invited the boss to sit down. "P… please sir," Jani smiled awkwardly.

"Thank you, I'm Arga, if I may know what your names are?" with a friendly smile Arga introduced himself.

"I'm Rena and this is Jani, sir," Rena answered while Jani continued to eat her soto without wanting to answer.

Rena and Arga continued to chat while occasionally laughing until lunch time was over. As for Jani? Don't ask. When she finished she immediately said goodbye to the toilet, because for some reason she didn't want to have a deal with Arga, whom she heard occasionally praising Rena.

"You seducer," Jani thought as she walked away.

Jani was in a hurry to ride her matic motorcycle. She is good at overtaking on the streets. Turn left straight until the traffic light, turn left, get in the first big alley, and touchdown at Green Trees. She immediately parked his matic-moped and took off her helmet in a hurry. In the coffee shop, there was already Rangga who watched Jani enter the place with irregular breaths. Black jeans, gray t-shirt, sneakers and a small backpack. Jani's specialty.

From afar Jani waved after a while looking for Rangga's seat. Rangga returned Jani's hand with an ear to ear smile.

"Still like before, sweet," Rangga thought sadly.

"Sorry I'm half an hour late, my motorcycle broke down again, need a new one thought," Jani said while fixing her disheveled hair. She sat in front of Ranga.

"Yeah, it's okay, just relax, Jan, it just me," said Rangga without stopping smiling warmly. With the same eyes as the last time they met. Longing for the figure of Jani.

"We used to sit side by side, Jan. Back then when we were still dating. Now you sit in front of me. Everything has changed and I... miss you, Jan," Rangga thought as he continued to watch Jani who was ordering drink from the waiter.

"I have to get you again, no matter what," Rangga had a thought in his mind.
