3 Homeroom

"Right this way students c'mon keep moving if you want to get to your home-room quicker you'ree going to have to cooperate with us and listen carefully for instructions. Last names ending in A-F over here, G-K over there, L-P behind me, Q-U you guys will stay here, and last but not least V-Z will be right down the hall near the last door.

Ok, My last name falls in the Q-U category so that made it easier on me than I thought. There are so many students in this school, if I were to go any other way I would of gotten lost and probably in trouble. "Hello, may I have everyone's attention. I am the principal of Dan Moore, you may call me Miss. Lipes. Follow me and I will split you guys up and direct you to your home-rooms."

The group started moving soon after her announcement was made and for a woman her stature, she walked pretty damn fast. Around the height of at least 4'7-ish.

While we were walking the halls of the school I took in my surroundings and saw that this place really needed some work. Some of the walls were torn and had a lot of dirt on them, I might have even spotted mold or something else.

I'm sort of nervous starting at a new place. I don't have any friends and it seems that all the kids are already talking with one another. At my old school I had only one friend and her name was Anne. After a while, she stopped coming to school and I don't really know why? One day she just stopped showing up and that was it.

The thing that's really gnawing at me is the Lord's advisor. I don't understand why he would come to this part of the city. It seems pointless if you ask me, he could have chosen any other place but he chose this school specifically.

Rich schools have a way nicer ring to it, cause they at least have clean bathrooms unlike ours. The absolute terror of walking into ours and all you see is water on the floor and other unmentionable things that shouldn't be mentioned.

"Alright, students Just a little bit more splitting and I'll be out of your hair," the principal giggles. Wow so cheery. How could she be happy when she's been told that the Lord's advisor is coming to pay a visit to a school full of outcasts. "Q, R, S  is 218 and 219 is T, U. Just find a seat and wait for your instructor students goodbye for now I will see you later."

I decided to find a seat in the very back because of the class because of how shy I was. I don't want to be noticed I plan on choosing the seat where I won't get picked on. Though it's going to be hard since my bleach blonde almost white hair sticks out like a sore thumb.

Towards the second to last row I found the perfect seat on the right side class, the last chair. I quickly run over to the seat, placed my bag next to it, and sit down as the other kids find theirs.

I didn't really want to make any eye contact with anybody here, while the other kids were finding their seats, I respectfully avoided eye contact with them and started to rest my head on my desk and wait until our instructor came.

A tiny thud next to me had woken me up from my rest. The girl I saw earlier from before was sitting next to me with her hair covering her face.

I try to move my body a little closer from my seat to see if I could get a closer look but no luck.

She then starts to talk.

"Do I interest you that much?" Was the words she spoke. I didn't say anything because I was surprised at what she said.

"No, it's just that I-"

The girl sighed and shook her head.

"I know you saw me walking to school this morning. I saw you too, you were just further away like everyone else."

I blink twice at her statement. "What does that even mean? Actually never mind I don't want to know, I'm Crystal and your name is?"

She stays silent for a while until she finally speaks.

"It's Ruby."

Ruby? That's a pretty name, I wouldn't of guess it, Claire seems more fit but hey what do I know.

"Nice to meet you Ruby, hope that we can be friends if you don't mind I just got transferred here and I don't really have many friends," I say rubbing the back of my head nervously.

She seems like a simple person to talk to and if we talk more maybe we'll become good friends and possibly hang out. The thought of this makes me so happy I could just explode!

"Why are you smiling?" She asks cocking her head to the side.

"Nothing," I reply, simply amused at the thought of having a friend.

"Hello students, I am so sorry for the long wait. I do apologize for my small tardiness. My name is Miss. Watts with double t's and would everyone please write your names on the desks tags so I can get to know you."

I wrote my name in a sloppy cursive and placed it back on my desk as told. Ruby did the same as well even questioning my terrible writing decision.

"Today won't be anything hard or bad, we're just going to go over some rules and protocols for our new school adjustment, now that we have two schools merged it's going to be a little bit more challenging but I believe we can manage. Are there any questions?"

A boy in the front stood up and raised his hand.

"Lunch?" He asks eagerly.

"Carson is it? Lunch will start when I say lunch will start. We only serve lunch on Mondays and Fridays, since today is Tuesday you had better brought a lunch because we as a staff will not provide you with any."

That was cold. She shouldn't talk that way I'm sure Carson didn't mean to be rude, he was probably just trying to be funny. I wonder if Ruby brought any lunch if she didn't I'd be more than happy to share with her if she would like.

I turn my head to look at Ruby, with her worried expression present. I can't actually see her face a lot better. Her eyes lower as she rubs her belly. Her skin was a sort of a almond brown skin tone. Along with her grey shiny eyes of hers making her look adorable with her long black locks.

"Ruby, let's share a lunch together Ok?!" I ask and she replied with a small head nod and smile.
