39 Chapter 37

Allan woke up in his bed calm and relaxed, evidently a good night's rest was just what he needed.

After getting out of bed, Allan was in no hurry to go back to his capsule, instead he went to the kitchen to make himself something for breakfast and he watched television for a while. These months he has been very busy and some relaxation time will do him good.

While he was looking for something to see he came across an interview with an Idle Online player. Curious, Allan turned up the volume and paid attention.

"Today we have with us a very special guest Robert Kast, a professional player who is currently in the game that is on everyone's lips, let's give him a loud applause" said the interviewer.

After the introductions and a round of applause, the interview began.

"I am sure that all of our public want to know one thing, what is your experience in Idle Online?"

"I am not going to lie about this, it is a difficult game, more than any that I and my studio 'Victory without rest' have ever experienced. Fortunately, we are professionals who take our work seriously, you just have to ask our many clients who were satisfied with our services- "

"That's awesome, what do you mean, it's different from the other games?" Seeing that Robert was going to start advertising his study, the interviewer decided to cut him off and return to the original conversation.

Although Robert was somewhat dissatisfied, he managed make a smile and answered the question.

"Well, first of all the realism of the game is something that has never been seen before, it is a fact for newbies to lose concentration for a second and forget that they are in a game"

Robert was going to re-advertise to his studio but the interviewer had a lot of experience and she was able to imagine what the next words would be.

"What about the skills? Many agree with me that they are one of the main attractions of the game, what can you tell us about them? "

"Uh, y-yes, it's true that the skills that can be learned in the game can be used in real life. For example, I am a hand-to-hand combat fighter, I had never learned to fight before and yet the training I did in Idle Online can be transferred to reality" said Robert.

"And there are no side effects?"

"Bah, all those who protest the game without trying it just want attention, the game is perfectly safe. However, the game is not easy" said the pro-player disdainful.

"How so?"

"Idle Online is like a second world, it is extremely realistic and having an existence here is just as difficult as in real life, that is why if you are planning to play you should hire qualified professionals who ..."

Allan looked amused at how the interviewer interrupted him again and they continued talking, while it was fun to watch for a few minutes it soon became boring, anyway that guy didn't say anything that was new to Allan so he changed the channel.

However, the television programs bored him, since he started playing Idle Online Allan put all kinds of entertainment aside not only to focus on the game but because everything else lost its charm.

After all, why would you be interested in watching an adventure show if you can live the adventure? Or why would you watch a cooking show when you can experiment for free in the game?

Allan had not noticed it until now, but Idle Online is even more incredible than he imagined, if the game is successful, it can change society as we see it.

Perhaps some people might think that Allan is exaggerating, but only he realizes the gravity of the situation.

He imagines an activity, whatever it is; cooking, archery, studying, ... Could this activity be done in the capsule? The answer is yes.

The only activity that Allan can think of that must be strictly necessary to do in the outside world is physical exercise and food sustenance, to the extent that it is known to be all day without moving a muscle is not healthy, which means that at the moment in Whoever invents a capsule that can exercise the body as well as cover the basic needs of a person will lose the need to get out of it.

Which means that if the company that invented the game invented a capsule like that, it would obtain unimaginable power over its users.

Allan trembled just imagining it, although he likes the game, everything should have a limit.

Soon after, Allan turned off the television and got back into the capsule.

...

When Allan left the inn room, a very angry Sara was waiting for him on the low floor.

For a moment Allan forgot that he had logged off to have a good nap when they were knocking on the door.

Unfortunately, by the time he managed to remember it, Sara was already in front of him.

"HOW DARE YOU NOT ANSWER WHEN I CALL YOU? !!" Sara yelled at him in front of the customers.

People who were surprised by what happened started to look in our direction.

"Sorry, at that point I had to disappear for a while," Allan tried to explain.

"A WHILE?! TWO DAYS!! WE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU FOR TWO DAYS!!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF HOW CONCERNED WE WERE???" despite Allan's attempts to calm Sara it only seemed to have the opposite effect.

"W-WE THOUGHT THAT YOU WOULDN´T LIKE BACK !!!" At this point Sara began to shed tears while all the customers looked at her as if she were a monster.

"Why did you think that?" Allan asked really confused.

"TOM HAS TOLD US, THAT THE CAPTAIN MADE YOU AN OFFER TO GO TO THE PENINSULA, AND YOU ACCEPTED !!!"

"AND WHEN I WENT TO LOOK FOR YOU IN YOUR ROOM, THERE WAS NO ONE. COULD YOU HAVE THOUGHT WHAT WOULD MAKE US FEEL TO US WHEN YOU LEFT!!! "

"I-I THOUGHT THAT WE WERE NO LONGER FRIENDS !!!"

Suddenly Allan understood everything.

Having accepted the captain's offer even if he only went nominally without consulting his friends in the game, he made them feel betrayed.

Just when Sara was going to her room for her to explain what this whole thing was about, Alan was not there.

Tom, Sara, Sam and everyone else thought that Alan had accepted the captain's offer and left without even saying goodbye it is normal for Sara to react that way.

Allan wanted to explain that it was all a misunderstanding, however it was not easy as Sara kept interrupting him and sometimes even hitting him when he started to speak.

Seeing how Sara was acting, Allan realized how much he had hurt his friends through a simple carelessness.

And yet it was his fault

Even if he accepted the captain's offer first, he should have consulted with them Alan had no excuse so he could only stand in front of Sara and say:

"I'm sorry" and he proceeded to try to get Sara to stop crying.

Alan knew he was in trouble, not only with Sara but also with all the people he had interacted with for a whole year. The only thing he could do was go see them and explain that it was all a misunderstanding and hope they would forgive him.
