New Life

When Alex regained his consciousness he found himself inside a pitch-black space. The space was warm but also wet.

"Lucas! What's going on! Where am I?"

No matter how much he yelled he didn't hear anything come out of his mouth

'What the hell is going on....Wait, how is this possible!''

During his panic Alex didn't notice that a miracle had occurred, he moved his hand and touched his face. He felt his heart stop for a moment, he quickly moved his leg, and once again his body reacted to his desire of moving.

"Lucas, I.... I can move again. I can move!"

Sadly his happiness was short-lived because suddenly the liquid that surrounded him disappeared. He felt himself fall deeper into whatever he was in, now that the water was gone he found himself being squeezed by what felt like gooey walls.

'What's going on? How am I able to move now? Earlier did my phone explode and knock me out? But how does that explain this dark space and the ability for me to move?'

"Where's Lucas, I want to see my brother!"

After who knows how long he suddenly started feeling something push him deeper down. Alex didn't know what was happening so he was scared out of his mind. He was able to see a light coming from something that looked like a tunnel.

Little by little, he was being pushed towards the light, and finally when his head plucked out of the tunnel the bright light completely blinded him for a few seconds. He nearly got a heart attack when giant grey human shadows appeared. His freakout was cut short by the sudden feeling that he was drowning, thankfully the feeling disappeared when he puked something out.

"What just happened? Who are you people? Why are you so big?"

Instead of hearing his voice coming out of his mouth, all he heard were high-pitched cries.

'What the hell?'

He suddenly heard a loud feminine voice coming out from the giant that was carrying him. "Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Flamewood, you've given life to a healthy baby boy."

When Alex heard her he felt like time stopped, "Wait what! So I actually died when my phone exploded? And I was reincarnated like in the mangas that I've read before. Oh no! If I died because of the phone then Lucas will feel guilty since he's the one that gave it to me. I must find a way to get in contact with him and let him know that I'm okay."

"Let me hold my son."

Alex saw another shadowy figure walk towards him and the woman that was carrying him handed him over. "Careful Mr. Flamewood he seems to be very energetic."

"Haha of course he is, he's my son after all. Our baby Allen haha I still can't believe that we made something so beautiful. I swear that I'll make sure that he has everything he will ever need."

"Andrew, don't you think that you've had him long enough? I'm the one who did the hard work, give him to me."

The man laughed and handed him over to a grey figure that was laying down, "Allen you might not understand us right now but your father and I promise to keep you safe."

He knew that they were talking to their kid and not him but the moment he heard that he felt an odd feeling spread through his body. Alex couldn't remember a time when his parents had ever said something like that to him.

At that moment Alex began wondering what life would be like in another world. In mangas there were various reasons why someone would reincarnate into another world, he might not know the reason why but he was sure about two things. He would try to see if there was any way to let his brother know he's okay and meanwhile live the life that he was denied.

As his new parents continued talking Alex realized that he had forgotten about something extremely important. There was something that most if not all Isekai people had.

"Status" ...…

"Status Board?"......

After several attempts, Alex gave up and he began to feel sleepy as Andrew continued swaying him in his arms.
