Glossary

Some general terms for the novel. Might contain minor SPOILERS. Proceed with caution.

Dimensional Energy – The mysterious everpresent type of energy that allowed humanity to survive from extinction, ushering in a new age in a different region of the Universe.

Energy Refiner – Humans who managed to utilize and refine the Dimensional Energy to strengthen themselves. Originally a byproduct of human experimentation in a bid to create warriors to deflect the incessant attacks coming from the Dimensional Rifts. Currently, there are three known paths to becoming one. A natural awakening as a result of being born from Energy Refiners. A chance awakening as a result of, more often than not, a near-death experience. And a lab procedure that would inject Dimensional Energy into a human – the same procedure the first-generation Energy Refiners underwent. 

IDLE Database - The mysterious program that suddenly appeared in front of the MC. Not much was known about it aside from allowing the MC to become an Energy Refiner using a different method.

Dimensional Rift – A mysterious phenomenon that plagued the new age of humanity, impeding their initial growth and settlement on the new planets. It's a tear in space that connects the known universe to another Dimensional Plane. There are three known types of Dimensional Rift; Instance-type, Maintained-type, and Realm-type.

Rift Monsters – or otherwise known as Dimensional Creatures. They're monsters that exist inside the Dimensional Planes beyond the rift that can utilize Dimensional Energy to bring destruction and chaos to human settlements. They're the inspiration or reference to starting human experimentation that produced Energy Refiners.

Metadome – An invention that first utilized the everpresent Dimensional Energy to combat the Rift Monsters. It's a giant mechanical construct that could be operated by a human. Although it could be operated by a normal human, Energy Refiners could bring a qualitative change to its operation due to their augmentation of refined energy to the machine.
